About Adderin

Manufactured by KNH Online Inc. based out of St. Petersburg, FL, Adderin is a natural dietary supplement claimed to help maximize your cognitive abilities by improving memory, focus, processing speed, and flow state. Adderin is also claimed to increase focus, energy, and brainpower, keep you motivated and alert, and help you experience “incredible bursts of energy.”

Adderin’s manufacturer even claims their supplement can help you achieve “a more powerful brain” by using a scientifically-engineered stack of ingredients, including alpha GPC, tyrosine, bacopa monnieri, vinpocetine, GABA, and huperzine A.

But when it comes to Adderin, what’s the truth? In other words, will the supplement really increase your cognitive abilities, or just leave you with a worthless product?

We’ll get to this shortly, but let’s start from the basics and take a closer look at Adderin’s ingredients.

What Ingredients Are in Adderin? Are They Effective?

Although there wasn’t a product label on their website, Adderin’s manufacturer claims it contains alpha GPC, tyrosine, bacopa monnieri, vinpocetine, GABA, and huperzine A. Will these provide you with any kind of cognitive benefits?

Overall, there is insufficient clinical evidence showing that alpha GPC or GABA can provide any kind of mental benefits.

On the other hand, Tyrosine may be effective for improving mental performance, memory, and alertness following a lack of sleep. However, there is insufficient clinical evidence showing it can provide any of the benefits claimed by Adderin’s manufacturer.

Bacopa may be effective for improving memory in otherwise healthy adults, and vinpocetine may help improve the thinking of Alzheimer’s patients, but there is no clinical evidence showing it can benefit otherwise healthy adults.

Finally, Huperzine A is listed as possibly effective for improving “the memory older children and teenagers who complain of memory problems.”

So, what are we left with here? Ultimately, some of Adderin’s ingredients may be effective for addressing (at least somewhat) memory problems and alertness after a sleepless night.

Despite this, we’re not informed how much of each of these ingredients Adderin contains, or whether or not there’s enough to provide any results at all.

Here’s the fact though: Because Adderin is classified as a supplement instead of a drug, the FDA doesn’t require that the manufacturer include any ingredients that work, or to back up their claims with even a single shred of evidence. For more about this, be sure to read through our Nutritional Supplements Buyer’s Guide.

Clearly though, Adderin’s name is intended to trigger thoughts of the commonly prescribed ADHD medication Adderall. So, although Adderin’s ingredients may not work exactly as the manufacturer claims, are there any similarities between it and Adderall?

Do Adderin & Adderall Share Any of the Same Ingredients?

In short, no.

Adderall is a “combination of amphetamine and dextroamphetamine. Amphetamine and dextroamphetamine are central nervous system stimulants that affect chemicals in the brain and nerves that contribute to hyperactivity and impulse control.” Both of these stimulants are very powerful, which is why they’re so popular on college campuses—especially during finals—and can be extremely habit-forming.

Important note: Even though Adderall contains powerful stimulants, these only increase focus, and have no effect on memory or cognition (although it might make you think you’re smarter). As such, unless Adderin also contains powerful stimulants (which is claimed on one part of the website, although none are shown in its ingredients list), there’s essentially no comparison between the two.

On the other hand, while some of Adderin’s ingredients may be useful for boosting attention and memory with extended use, any effects would be extraordinarily mild compared to Adderall. In other words, it’s all marketing hype from Adderin’s manufacturer.

Mild or not though, can you expect to experience any side effects by using Adderin?

Possible Side Effects for Adderin

The most commonly reported side effect for Adderin’s ingredients is digestive upset, although it’s likely that the majority of users won’t experience anything at all.

Again though, keep in mind that we don’t know how much of each ingredient is contained in Adderin, or whether or not the dosage is too high and might lead to an increased likelihood of side effects.

With this said, if you’re exploring all your options, are there any other natural nootropics whose ingredients work better than Adderin, or who provides a more complete lists of ingredients?

Similar Products to Adderin

Over the past year or so, the HighYa team has watched as dozens upon dozens of natural brain boosters have entered the market, including Neuroflexyn, BrainFire, Addium, Geniux, and many more. And among HighYa readers, these products have an average rating of 2 stars, with common complaints citing failure to work, high price, and difficulty cancelling trials/processing returns.

Granted, this doesn’t mean you’ll experience the same with Adderin, although based on our experience, we feel it’s likely.

Now that we’ve covered all the basics surrounding Adderin and whether or not its ingredients are effective, as well as similar (if no more effective) options, let’s find out if it provides a solid value for your money.

Adderin Pricing & Refund Policy

Adderin is priced as follows:

  • 1 Bottle: $49.85
  • 3 Bottles: $113.82
  • 5 Bottles: $149.95

Regardless of which option you choose, you’ll also be charged $4.95 S&H.

All Adderin purchases come with a 30-day refund policy, less S&H charges, although this only applies to damaged or defective products. In other words, unless something’s wrong with it, you own it.

If your bottle of Adderin is damaged, you can initiate a return by contacting customer service at 727-498-4811.

Adderin’s Arbitration Agreement

Keep in mind that as soon as you order Adderin, you’ll be bound by the company’s arbitration agreement. Among many other things, this means that if you experience any damages from using the supplement, whether physical or financial, your legal recourse will be severely restricted. This means you won’t be able to become part of a jury by trial or a class action lawsuit.

Now, let’s wrap everything up…

Should You Give Adderin a Try?

We’ve definitely covered a lot of ground here, so let’s quickly go over everything we’ve learned about Adderin:

  • Its name is intended to make you think it’s similar to Adderall, which it’s not.
  • We don’t know all of Adderin’s ingredients. And for those we do know about, we’re not informed about their dosages.
  • Many of Adderin’s ingredients simply won’t work as the manufacturer claims, and those that might will only provide the mildest benefits.
  • The supplement may or may not contain stimulants.
  • There are dozens of similar options out there, most of which come with very poor online customer reviews.

With all of this in mind, what’s our recommendation about Adderin? As you probably already guessed, it’s our opinion that Adderin is a grossly overpriced supplement that won’t provide any of the results claimed by the manufacturer.

As such, if you’re looking to improve you memory, focus, or any other brain-related activity, we’d recommend making an appointment with your physician and then reading through our article titled The Truth About Memory Supplements: What to Look for & How to Buy One.

    Fraud - Does Nothing

    • Tampa Florida,
    • Sep 19, 2016

I ordered 3 Bottles of Adderin which arrived promptly. I started taking one a day daily for 60 days, NO change. The next 15 days I took 2 per day, one in the AM and one PM. Absolutely NO difference. I called and canceled, but instead of cancelling, they charged my credit card two times in August, once on the 18th and then again on the 20th. These people are THIEVES AND CROOKS, and their product is a LIE. Avoid this SCAM at all costs. I am pursuing this through my credit card company and have filed a claim to have these 2 and any others reversed and charged back to them. Avoid.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

    Ripped off twice

I agree with all the negative comments. I ordered Adderin, 3 bottles which were suppose to be 49.95. They charged me $148.90. I didn't catch it until it was too late. I also never received an invoice or email confirmation. And I was charged for another product that day. Something from enlightgym.com, they must have gotten my info from the Adderin site. Apparently it's some sort of online mind training. Beware, do not order this product, they will rip you off and share confidential info with other companies and you have no way to get your money back. They are professional scam artist to the highest degree. Your credit card company will not even help. I lost a lot of money on this one transaction. I also want to mention the product does not work.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

    It's been good for me.

    • Auburn, PA,
    • Jul 5, 2016

Reading over some of the reviews I understand they were having issues. I haven't noticed any yet. I have been taking Adderin for a month now. I take it once a day in the morning. It seems to help me get motivated and I have an easier time retaining what I learn. It seems to help me with minor headaches as well. This is only my experience with the product so it may not work as well for others. I like it well enough to place a new order as soon as I'm done writing this.

    Terrible product!

This product made my heart beat so fast at night I thought I was going to die. I took it for 3 weeks and was very unhappy with results. This product has been renamed. It was Addium, Addium is cheaper than Adderin, so buyer beware!

Alert! They will charge you more money than original purchase price.

    • Phoenix, AZ,
    • Oct 26, 2015

I ordered a trial of 3 bottles (30 capsules each) for $29.99 all together. I should've known right then and there that it was a scam considering how cheap of a pricing that is initially.

They ended up sending me an invoice of $150.00, none of what I purchased or condoned to pay for what so ever! I went through and read about 12 different reviews just like mine talking about them literally stealing money from you. So please, heed my advice. Do not order anything from these thieves and company. And If you have already purchased this product and are afraid of getting charged, cancel your card immediately!

    Horrible service and everything

    • Lloyd Harbor, NY,
    • Oct 24, 2015

Just looked at some of the other reviews and ALL but the positive ones are opposite to what I experienced. I was charged an inordinate amount of money without any prior knowledge. The price initially of $50 went up to $150 so I tried cancelling and got NO LUCK. The customer service for this company is TRAGIC. They are cruel and are a scam. Also might I add the product doesn't even work. It's like I'm consuming a pill that shows no results.

    Extremely satisfied!

    • Phoenix, AZ,
    • Oct 17, 2015

Let me start off saying that all drugs, even prescription drugs, affect different people differently. What works for one person might not work on the next 100 or 1,000 people it's tried on after. This is my experience with Adderin. So far I've only taken it once, just the other day. I have bad insomnia sometimes and the last time insomnia struck me it just so happened to be the night before a big job interview for a job that I've never held before and didn't know much about.

I didn't sleep at all that night due to my insomnia. By the time I finally got tired it was too close to my interview time to even take a little nap so a few hours before my interview I took one. After a little bit I started to feel more awake, my thoughts were becoming more clear and concise, and I felt really confident in my ability to handle the upcoming interview because of what Adderin did for me.

By the time I arrived at the interview I felt like I had gotten the best rest of my life the night before and I nailed the interview much better than I would have had I actually gotten a full night's sleep the night before and not taken the Adderin. I was on point with everything the interviewer threw at me and he did throw me some curve balls. I remembered things from years ago that were extremely pertinent to the job I applied for that I haven't thought about in a very long time and that I wouldn't have remembered at that time had I not taken the Adderin. The interviewer actually told me that some of my responses blew him away and he invited to come back for a second interview which is scheduled for tomorrow.

I'd say that Adderin isn't a scam at all. In fact, I think it is a wonderful thing, at least for me it is. As for the billing issues stated in the previous reviews, I actually wasn't the one who purchased the Adderin, one of my friends purchased it. My friend's internet browser was lagging and my friend got impatient so my friend clicked the "buy" button twice. My friend's account was charged twice and each charge was for the correct advertised price. They were offering a promotion of "buy two bottles, get one free" at the time but wouldn't honor that for my friend because the stipulation was that both bottles had to be on the same transaction. Both bottles were received in the mail by my friend in a timely manner and my friend's account was not charged by them for anything unauthorized. Besides their stubbornness on the stipulation of one transaction for the promotion, I'd say this entire experience was absolutely wonderful.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

    Dissappointed

    • Marksville, Louisiana,
    • Oct 13, 2015

I think it's a scam. I thought it was supposed to be "Viagra for the brain" or "better than Adderall." Well that's not true because I get Adderall and this is nothing like Adderall. I think you would be wasting your money if you buy this product. I felt no improvement in my memory, focus was no better and definitely no mental clarity or cognitive precision. It's all a lie, trust me when I tell you its trash.

It started with the order that was supposed to be 90 dollars, come to find out I was charged 150. I have been using it now for a week. I do not believe that this product will ever produce what it claims. Very disappointed. I would never recommend this to not only my friends but my enemies too. Lol. That's when you know it's bad.

Complete Scam, this company needs to be taken to court

I bought a $29.99 order, they charged my card for $150. I called their customer service line and through many hoops and I finally was able to get to speak to the head of their customer service division. The man's name was Dave and he promised me a full refund the following day, didn't happen.

I called the next day and had to deal with more bull, they wouldn't let me speak to their head because apparently he was busy and told me he would call me ASAP, never happened.

I called the following day after that and the same thing, I keep calling to get some answers and now they literally start hanging up on me and disconnecting my calls. Good customer service, huh? Near the end of the day one of the reps told me if I don't stop calling they won't refund my stolen money.

This is just ridiculous. Do not, I repeat, do not buy into this. These people need to be dealt with, if anyone has any idea on how to take these parasites down besides paying an abundance for lawyer and court fees, let me know because they will keep scamming hard working individuals.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend
