About AlphaZXT

AlphaZXT is a new brain supplement that’s claimed to contain a powerful formula of natural focus factors that naturally boosts neurotransmitters, which can help you learn faster, work smarter, and concentrate harder. Because of this, AlphaZXT’s manufacturer calls the supplement “Viagra for the brain.”

According to the company, AlphaZXT features a “proven scientific ingredient profile” whose main ingredient is phosphatidylcholine, which increases the production of acetylcholine in your neurons and can help:

  • Improve recall, reaction, time, mood
  • Boost memory and enhance intellectual skills
  • Improve focus, mental clarity, and the ability to store learned information
  • Protect brain cell membranes for optimal brain function
  • Counteract cognitive impairment
  • Increase nerve growth factor receptors
  • Counter the age-related loss of nerve cells and fibers in the brain
  • Improve overall brain health

AlphaZXT is claimed to be water soluble, so its ingredients enter your brain quickly soon after you take it.

You’ve got to admit that the AlphaZXT uses a whole lot of scientific sounding jargon, but does the scientific evidence match with the manufacturer’s claims? Consider the following:

Is AlphaZXT Clinically Proven?

Although AlphaZXT is claimed to be clinically or scientifically proven in several areas on its website, the manufacturer doesn’t provide any evidence to back up this claim. Elsewhere online, there doesn’t appear to be any supporting evidence for these claims either.

But what about AlphaZXT’s ingredients? There isn’t a full ingredients list or product label provided on the supplement’s website, and the only ingredient we’re told about is phosphatidylcholine. However, according to WebMD, there is insufficient clinical evidence showing that phosphatidylcholine supplementation can provide any kind of brain health or cognition-boosting benefits.

In short, there is no evidence that the ingredients contain in AlphaZXT (or at least the one were told about) will have any effects on your brainpower.

AlphaZXT’s Marketing Tactics

Perhaps because of the lack of clinical evidence showing that AlphaZXT works, the manufacturer uses some fairly common marketing tactics to convince you to buy based on emotion instead of information.

This includes warning prospective customers that it is so powerful it can provide “extreme IQ effects,” and that it’s so popular the manufacturer is having difficulty keeping the supplement in stock. However, based on our experience reviewing dozens of brain supplements, it’s our opinion that these claims amount to little more than hype.

So how do supplements manufacturers get away with making these claims? As we detailed in our Nutritional Supplements Buyer’s Guide, these products aren’t subjected to any kind of governmental oversight before being released to the public, so manufacturers are basically free to make whatever claims they like, without having to support them with so much as a single shred of evidence.

In fact, the FDA only gets involved once enough consumer complaints have amassed. And even then, by the time the company has been dragged through the legal process, they’re often on to their next product, and the cycle starts all over again.

Is AlphaZXT and Neuro3x the Same Product?

Speaking of companies moving on to their next product, we couldn’t help but notice that the AlphaZXT website is essentially a duplicate of the Neuro3x website, which might indicate that they’re the same product produced by the same manufacturer.

A side-by-side comparison of the AlphaZXT and Neuro3x websites.

Are Customers Boosting their Brainpower with AlphaZXT?

AlphaZXT was a very new supplement at the time of our research, so there were no legitimate online customer reviews available.

However, SupplementCritique noted that AlphaZXT’s manufacturer stoops to some common underhanded marketing tactics used by many supplements companies, such as creating fake news articles that feature fake celebrity endorsements, as well as posting fake review websites. These are intended to make you think that AlphaZXT is a legitimate supplement that can provide outstanding benefits, and that is wildly popular. However, it’s our opinion that the exact opposite is true.

Outside of this, there is no additional information available about AlphaZXT or the company who manufacturers it elsewhere online.

With this said, among the HighYa reader reviews for a variety of brain supplements, they average just 2 stars, with common complaints citing high prices, failure to work, and difficulty cancelling trials/obtaining refunds. In our opinion, it’s likely you’ll experience much of the same with AlphaZXT.

AlphaZXT Pricing & Refund Policy

AlphaZXT is available in 3 different purchasing options:

  • 1 Bottle: $49.85
  • Buy 2, Get 1 Free: $113.82
  • Buy 3, Get 2 Free: $149.95

Regardless of which option you choose, your order will include free shipping.

AlphaZXT comes with a 60-day refund policy, less S&H charges, although this only applies to unused and unopened product. In other words, if you open it, you bought it.

With this in mind, in order to request a refund, you’ll need to contact customer service at (855) 962-7747 for an RMA.

Is AlphaZXT the Answer to Boost Your Brain?

Chopping to the point: Because the manufacturer doesn’t list any of AlphaZXT’s ingredients—and the one we do know about has not been shown to boost brainpower—as well as the company’s underhanded marketing tactics and close similarity to Neuro3x, it’s our opinion that AlphaZXT’s high price will provide you with little-to-no value for your hard-earned money.

    Bad Decision To Order This

    • Spring, TX,
    • Jul 9, 2015

I ordered what I thought was one bottle but ended up being charged for five bottles (nothing for free as the website led you to believe) and have not even received a product to see if it works or not. I have tried to contact them but have not gotten a response from them. After reading some of these other reviews it was a bad decision to even consider trying this company. This is an outright scam!

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

    Feel like a fool

    • Demorest, Ga,
    • Jun 12, 2015

I was reading an article about Johnny Depp getting in trouble for this product in another country. There were ads from other famous people endorsing this product as well. I don't know now if this was a 'fake' story or not. Then when I saw Dr. Oz had an endorsement too, I wanted it, for I trust him.

I am a 61 year old female and do take some prescription medicine for depression, so I've started weaning myself off so I can try this. I did get my 5 bottles in the mail, gave one to my 31 year old son who is taking it, says he feels a bit more energy.

The web site does trick you into buying another supplement also, which I didn't intend to order. So now I have $300 charge on a credit card! I emailed them and they gave me an RMA number, so when I receive the product, I will send that back.

But reading these comments, I now feel duped.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

    Bought a bottle

I bought a bottle and was using it. But I could not think or sleep at night and felt horrible. I have poor eyesight. My son read the info on the bottle and found out that I should not have been taking this as it said in very small print that if you take medicine for heart trouble or other medication like diabetes or other medical problems you should not take it. I take all the above. I tried their email and all I got was a lot of junk I could not understand. I use a 42 inch TV screen plugged into my computer so I can see better. I called them and all I got was music and nothing else. I want a refund but can't get in touch with them. My next step is to go to state of Maine consumer affairs and file a complaint. The problem is that they charge for filing complaint almost as much as this bottle cost me. I think that is wrong. Consumer affairs should be free. After all, this is why consumer affairs were set up for.

    WTF!

Ok, I tried it and no results what so ever. So now I want to get a return authorization but the phone number listed on their website does not work and I'm getting no answer to more than 10 e-mails I sent out. Has anyone else got this "fine service"? I have to wait a month to get the credit card folks to help. Do not, I repeat, do not even think about this "product". I'm feeling really stupid and ripped off. Only fools learn from mistakes.

    Scammed

    • Salt Lake City, UT,
    • Mar 8, 2015

So I received the product two days ago. I have done everything right and the product doesn't work. There was no reaction at all except sleepiness and itchy skin. I am going to try and get my money back from this company. Perhaps it doesn't work on women. Any way it was a total downer for me. I really needed this product because I work shift hours.
