About Au Nue Under Eye Serum

The hype: Au Nue Under Eye Serum contains a specific, 100% all natural formulation that can rejuvenate the skin around your eyes, keep it healthier, and make it more vibrant.

How? By using a blend of seaweed extract, pearl powder, gold, nicotinamide, and silk amino acid to address eye bags, puffiness, and crow’s feet.

The company even claims that Au Nue was shown to cause a 90% decrease in wrinkles and fine lines, an 80% increase in moisture, a 65% reduction in dark circles, and a 78% increase in elasticity. As such, it was voted #1 Under Eye Serum in the United States.

The reality: Au Nue Under Eye Serum almost certainly won’t perform as advertised, and could be a complete waste of money. You might even feel scammed!

How do we know all of this? Let’s start from square one.

Trial-Based Anti-Aging Products

Over the past couple years, we’ve watched as dozens of trial-only anti-aging products have entered the market, such as DermAktive, Cellumis, Nuvie Skin Care, and more.

All of these products are sold only through free trials, the companies that sell them automatically enroll customers in recurring shipments, and they invariably come with very low customer satisfaction ratings (more in a moment). The problem has become so widespread that we covered all the dirty details in Exposing the Widespread Scam of Anti-Aging Products & Free Trials.

Many of these products even use the same website template; the manufacturers just change the product name once customers figure out that the whole thing is a scam.

The takeaway? If you encounter an anti-aging product that’s 1) only sold online, and 2) only available through a “free” trial, be very cautious.

How does this free trial work, anyway?

Au Nue Under Eye Serum’s Purchasing Options

Unlike many of the other anti-aging products we’ve reviewed, Au Nue Under Eye Serum is available through 4 different options:

  • 1-Month Supply: £69 (about $106)
  • 3-Month Supply: £159 (about $245)
  • 5-Month Supply: £165 (about $255)
  • 14-Day Trial: £4 S&H (about $6)

If you choose the trial, you’ll receive 2 bottles (60-day supply) of Au Nue Serum. After 14 days have passed, you’ll then be billed $110 per bottle, and enrolled in the company’s autoship program.

What’s this mean? You’ll keep receiving a new bottle once per month, and your credit card will be billed $110 each time.

Au Nue Serum’s website claims that the product comes with a 100% satisfaction guarantee. But according to their Terms & Conditions, products cannot be returned “unless the product is defective or damaged.”

Important note: Even if the product is defective, you’ll still be required to ship the items back to the Netherlands! Talk about expensive!

Au Nue Under Eye’s Arbitration Agreement

Not only will you pay an arm and a leg for Au Nue Under Eye Serum, but you’ll also be bound to an arbitration agreement as soon as you place your order.

What’s this mean? You’ll lose many of your legal rights if you experience any damages, including a trial by jury or becoming part of a class action lawsuit.

Think cancelling your Au Nue trial or autoship program will be an easy task? You might want to reconsider.

Customer Feedback for Trial-Based Anti-Aging Products

If you pay a lot for a product, you’ll generally expect it to perform well. In the instance of trial-based anti-aging products though, one of the most common complaints is failure to work as advertised.

Many customers have even claimed that these formulas felt “harsh,” that they burned, or that they caused allergic reactions.

And when they called customer service to cancel their trial, end their autoship enrollment, or request a refund, they were often met with rudeness and a general sense that there was nothing they could do. In many instances, customers were yelled at or even hung up on.

In worst-case scenarios, customers even had to cancel their credit cards to stop recurring charges.

Will you experience the same with Au Nue Under Eye Serum? Considering its close similarity to less-than-stellar anti-aging products, we’d say it’s likely.

What can you do instead?

Effective Methods of Addressing Premature Aging

Instead of ordering Au Nue Under Eye Serum and risking your hard-earned money, there are many lifestyle changes you can make to reduce the signs of aging.

First, since the number one cause of premature aging is UV exposure, you should limit your time in the sun. And when you can’t, you should always wear a sunscreen appropriate for your skin type.

In addition, you should quit smoking, drink less alcohol, eat a healthy diet, get plenty of exercise, apply moisturizer daily, and even avoid repetitive facial expressions.

Pro tip: Whether you’re looking at Au Nue Serum, another product, or a standalone supplement, there is insufficient clinical evidence showing that seaweed extract, pearl powder, gold, nicotinamide, and silk amino acid can provide any of the benefits claimed by the manufacturer.

As you probably noticed, none of these recommendations will cost you any money, but they’re still likely to provide a better value than Au Nue Under Eye Serum!

    Outrageous scam

I thought I'd signed up for a 10 day free trial paying shipping only. Instantly £200 was taken out my account. I emailed them immediately, called them and nothing. It's like they don't exist now that they have my money. I had to cancel my card and I'm on holiday to add insult to injury. Don't touch with a barge pole. And the emails I sent just vanish from my account. Shocking.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I didn't receive the goods, and they didn't refund my money. It has been more than 2 months. They are thieves and criminals.

    Atrocious company

I accidently ordered two creams from this company. It is advertised as a free trial, so I put in my information and then proceeded with the order, expecting a total amount page before the actual transaction went through, to let me see what my transaction total was before I committed to the order (like every other site I buy goods from). But no, it went straight to the transaction complete page, and it was a €220 ($240.35) worth of a free trial. It never once mentioned that it would be €110 ($120.17) for each product! I was expecting €30 to €40 ($33 to $43), so tried to cancel it straight away, but they have no person you can talk to. It's either you leave a voicemail requesting cancellation, or email their customer service. I can't find out anything else on the company.

I wrongly ordered these goods on January 21 and canceled on January 21, and I got no reply until January 22, and it was to tell me that was too late to cancel and refund, but when the product was received in 7-10 days, I could send it back for a full refund. I've received NOTHING yet! I've emailed every day since then, and have received six emails in return asking for my address, then if I would like it reset, and for my address again. Absolute scam artists!

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

    Not honest

Dear consumers, I have ordered two products from this company, and it has been almost one month, and my order hasn't arrived yet.

I have sent emails to what they call is their "customer service", and they have not replied. I asked them for a tracking number, but they haven't provided it yet. I have also called them twice, and left messages, but they haven't gotten back to me.

Very BAD, bad service, so be careful. I'm really disappointed.

    Keep away. Scam

    • Germany,
    • Feb 7, 2016

I signed up for the trial, and paid for packaging only. I then realized that I have been charged €250 for 30 days of product that I don't want. I've tried calling them, but was only able to leave voice message! I will return the goods when I receive them, and have also notified my bank.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

    What a joke!

    • Clearlake, CA,
    • Jan 31, 2016

This ordering system is a joke and so is their customer service. I couldn't complete the order and customer service was absolutely of no help at all. Be very careful of the small print as they are trying to bill you an extra $85 and more if you don't cancel right after the $4.95 trial. BEWARE!

    Scam!

    • uk,
    • Jan 29, 2016

I was going to order this but changed my mind when I realized that they were billing me 99 pounds! So instead of a free trial with a choice of whether to purchase more, AU NUE wanted the money as soon as possible.

I tried to cancel the order but it went through even though I NEVER pressed enter for them to process it.

I contacted my bank to do a stop payment.
