About BioMuscle XR

BioMuscle XR is claimed to be a scientifically advanced men’s nutritional supplement that boosts nitric oxide (NO) levels and:

  • Provides ripped, muscular bodies as quickly as possible
  • Reduces body fat, provides extreme muscle growth, and amplifies raw power and strength
  • Increases natural energy levels
  • Improves muscle definition
  • Increases the effectiveness of your workouts
  • Boosts the power of your abs, legs, and chest
  • Delays muscle fatigue and supports recovery
  • Transforms your body into a lean mean machine “almost immediately”

Because of this, BioMuscle XR is claimed to be the #1 selling muscle and high-performance supplement, and to be used by top athletes and personal trainers (we’ll talk more about this in a moment).

In order to accomplish these benefits, BioMuscle XR is claimed to include the following ingredients in an extended release formula that ensures maximum nutrient absorption, without calories, carbs, or sugar:

  • BioMuscle XR Proprietary Blend 800mg: L-Arginine Alpha Ketoglutarate 2-1, L-Arginine, L-Arginine Monohydrochloride.
  • L-Citrulline 5mg
  • Dipotassium Phosphate 4mg

Maybe you’re concerned about being too skinny. Perhaps you’re out of shape and looking to lose weight. Or, maybe you work out regularly and are looking for an extra boost at the gym. Whatever your needs may be, you want to know whether or not BioMuscle XR works as advertised, and whether it’s worth the high price. The answer? Probably not, and here’s why:

Is BioMuscle XR Clinically Proven to Work?

While BioMuscle XR itself does not appear to have been clinically tested, its ingredients have, although the results might not be what you’re expecting. This is because, according to WebMD, l-arginine is possibly effective for a wide variety of conditions, as it helps arteries widen and improves blood flow, which can help reduce chest and leg pain, the effects of erectile dysfunction, some causes of high blood pressure, and more. However, there is insufficient evidence showing l-arginine can improve muscle growth, boost weight loss, or help exercise performance as claimed by BioMuscle XR’s manufacturer.

Likewise, there is insufficient evidence showing that l-citrulline can boost exercise performance or provide any of the other benefits claimed by BioMuscle XR.

In addition, while there are no established dosing guidelines for l-citrulline, it’s recommended that adults take anywhere between 2,100mg and 20 grams per day, depending on your condition. As such, considering that all of BioMuscle XR’s l-citrulline is contained in an 800mg proprietary blend, there’s no way to know exactly how much you’re getting, and whether this will be enough to provide any benefits.

Analyzing BioMuscle XR’s Other Claims

Lack of clinical evidence notwithstanding, BioMuscle XR’s manufacturer makes several other claims, including that it’s used by professionals, and that it’s been seen on CBS News, MSNBC, CNN, and Men’s Health.

However, there are no professional endorsements for the supplement available online, or any third-party confirmation that BioMuscle XR has appeared on any of these networks—even just as an advertisement. As such, we’d be inclined to label these claims as mistruths.

Is There Consumer Feedback for BioMuscle XR?

At the time of our research, BioMuscle XR had been promoted for less than a month, and as such didn’t have any legitimate online customer reviews available.

However, as we’ve talked about numerous times, many nutritional supplements like BioMuscle XR are sold through affiliates, who are typically unmonitored by the manufacturers of the products they sell. Because of this, affiliates will often create intentially misleading customer review websites just to make you think you’re reading about a real customer’s experience, when it’s really just more marketing material.

BioMuscle XR Pricing & Refund Policy

BioMuscle XR is only sold through a 14-day trial, which will cost you $5.95. For this price, you’ll receive 60 capsules (30-day supply) of the supplement.

However, after your trial expires, you’ll be charged $89.73 for the full price of the product and enrolled in the company’s autoship program. This means you’ll continue receiving a fresh supply of BioMuscle XR once every 30 days, and your credit card will be charged $89.73 each time.

As we outlined in our What You Should Know About Autoship Programs article, it’s our opinion that free trials and autoship programs are often more about hanging on to your hard-earned money than they are about providing you with any kind of convenience. As such, we generally recommend staying away from products sold through these methods.

With this said, outside of the trial, BioMuscle XR comes with a 30-day refund policy, less S&H charges and a 15% restocking fee.

In order to initiate the refund process, you’ll need to contact customer service at 866-356-7277.

Is BioMuscle XR the Answer to Your Fitness Needs?

Chopping to the Point: Because neither of the primary ingredients contained in BioMuscle XR have been shown to provide any kind of real-world exercise benefits, it’s almost certain that the supplement won’t provide many of the benefits it claims. On top of this, the manufacturer and its affiliates use some less-than-stellar marketing and sales tactics.

Considering all of this, it’s our opinion that BioMuscle XR’s very high price is almost certainly far out of line with any benefits you can realistically expect to achieve from using it. But if you’re intent on purchasing something similar, l-arginine supplements are a dime a dozen, and can likely be found at your local pharmacy for much less and in higher dosages.

Wow, people need to be careful dealing with this company. After cancelling my subscription on time and getting a confirmation number from them, they still charged me two more times on 8/23/16 & 8/25/16.

    Scam

Ordered a 14 day free trial. Only had the product for about eight days and they charged my bank account with a $90 charge, without the trial being up yet. When I contacted customer service, they were completely unreasonable. The product is worthless. I'm returning he product with no guarantee of a refund. The worst company to trust and do any kind of business with. Completely unprofessional.

    Scam! These guys are crooks

My experience was awful. First of all they said it was $4.95 for the 14 day supply trial then. They turned around and charged $89.99 extra in 14 days. I called customer service and she said they would charge another $4.99 to cancel the order and prevent future charges. These people need to be put in jail, they are scamming people who really were interested in buying in the future from other companies. I say go to your local GNC because at least you have a money back guarantee. Please beware of BioMuscle XR and all of their products.

    This product and company sucks!

I got my supposedly "free" trial that they charge you for. I used it and saw not benefits of using it at all. On top of that, they charged me for a bottle I never got. And their customer service is the worst I have ever had to deal with in my life! So if you want to get RIPPED OFF and not actually ripped muscles, let this company bend you over and take you for a ride!

Taken In By Misleading Advertising – SCAMMED and Stolen From

    • British Columbia, Canada,
    • Jul 13, 2016

Several months ago I stupidly sent off for a FREE sample of Bio Muscle XR. The free sample has ended up costing several hundred dollars. Returning from a trip I found several packages have arrived and my credit card deducted the $100+ CAN. each time.

I have now canceled my order, but the damage is done!

I urge all middle aged men, trying to maintain or reclaim their bodies to seek help elsewhere such as diet and get out and exercise.

    Unfortunately there isn't a no-star rating option!

Bio Muscle XR is a SCAM

This is a response to someone else's review asking if there is anything we can do about this scam.

I am just starting my nightmare with these guys and it looks like they will try to charge me a restocking fee. Right now, with them having our credit card info they can just take money for a restocking fee. However, we all can contact our credit card company and tell them what's happening. The card company will make you write a detailed explanation and will get back to you to tell you their decision. I believe this is probably the best and easiest way to get your money back without hiring an attorney. This is worth a try, I plan on doing this. It's too bad a company is getting away with this scam. They are getting rich when they should be jailed.

This company is a scam, do not visit their website unless you want to be mislead and charged more than advertised.

    • Austin, TX,
    • Mar 21, 2016

SCAM! Do not buy this product online. If you really want it, buy it in a store. They mislead you with a free trial offer and it is not free. I hate companies that cheat innocent consumers. I actually never clicked to buy it, I filled out my info and then at last minute read the fine print and exited the site, they still charged me not only the $5.95 shipping but another $1.99 I do not even know what it is for. Then when I called them, they said I had to pay $19.99 for the FREE bottle they already sent. These people are scam artists.

Do Not Buy BioMuscle XR -- Horrible Experience

Do not buy this product or do "free trial." This is an absolute SCAM! They say it is a "free" sample and then next thing you know you have an $89 dollar charge on your card. Also, when I called to get reimbursed, the staff members WOULD NOT even listen to me and kept talking over me and tried to CONVINCE me to buy more. This is a horrible company with FALSE advertisement.

Also, I probably should have reviewed it to begin with, but the side effects are horrible as well! These people must be desperate for sales. It's really sad.

Terrible service, and a scam for sure

    • Canada,
    • Feb 24, 2016

This is a terrible service, and a major scam. I canceled my product before 14 days, but they still charged me $90. I have been trying to get a refund for over three weeks now, and have called in about six times, and they kept saying that they have processed my refund, and have escalated the matter, so it will take 3-5 business days. Heck, its been 22 days and nothing has been done so far. There is no contact to the corporate office apparently, where the refunds are processed. Absolute bull crap! Never buy this, or get played.

    I never ordered this

They have sent me 2 bottles of this junk. I live on a fixed income (social security) plus I am a women. They have taken 89.00 last month which overdrew my account and I was charged a 30.00 overdraft fee. When I tried to return it they said I could not. I figured at least give the money back, but no way. Then again this month another bottle, same thing my account is overdrawn. I have been unable to get them to give me an address to return this to. I have an over due electric bill to be shut off. No food in my house and I of course, being a woman need these pills more than heat or food. They are rude and I am lost. I have closed my checking account to avoid another bottle next month, but 178.00+ they have already stolen from me.
