About Blackline Elite
Blackline Elite is claimed to be a potent pre-workout supplement that was formulated by leading nutritionists and doctors to boost nitric oxide levels within your body, resulting in increased athletic endurance, enhanced lean muscle, boosted thermogenesis, enhanced alertness, and larger, more intense pumps that stick around longer.
In order to accomplish this, Blackline Elite is claimed to use a “scientifically calculated” blend of ingredients that cause the inner walls of blood vessels and arteries to expand, thereby allowing increased blood, oxygen, and nutrients to reach your muscles. According to the manufacturer, this means that you’ll be able to train longer and harder, avoid post-workout fatigue and crashes, and increase strength, endurance, and recovery. These ingredients include:
- Proprietary Blend 800mg: L-Arginine Alpha Ketoglutarate 2-1, L-Arginine, L-Arginine Monohydrochloride
- L-Citrulline 5mg
- Dipotassium Phosphate 4mg
Working out is tough as it is, but even more so when you have responsibilities such as a job, a spouse, and even a family. So, you want to achieve the most from each one of your workouts, because your time is limited and your expectations are high. But can Blackline Elite deliver? Consider the following:
What’s the Deal with Blackline Elite’s Ingredients?
According to WebMD, l-arginine is converted into nitric oxide by your body, which can expand blood vessels and allow many parts of your body to experience increased blood flow and oxygenation. As such, it can be useful for a wide range of conditions, including chest pain, erectile dysfunction, high blood pressure, heart attack, and more.
However, there is insufficient evidence showing that either l-arginine or l-citrulline can impact exercise performance or muscle growth in any way.
Note: One of Blackline Elite’s landing pages claims that the supplement includes creatine “as its core.” However, creatine is not listed as one of the ingredients on the supplement’s label.
To learn more about how supplements manufacturers can make many of their claims with limited (and sometimes no) clinical evidence to support them, be sure to read through our Nutritional Supplements Buyer’s Guide.
Blackline Elite Side Effects
L-citrulline doesn’t have an official dosing instruction and common side effects are unknown. However, it is considered safe for use by adults and children.
L-arginine is also considered safe for most people as well, but only when taken for short periods of time, except when taken along with blood pressure and blood flow medications, including Viagra. Doses can range between 261mg and 20 grams depending on age and condition.
Considering this, although all of Blackline Elite’s l-arginine is contained in a proprietary blend, the supplement provides 800mg doses, which could be considered on the low end of the spectrum.
Consumer Feedback for Blackline Elite
Blackline Elite is a relatively new supplement, so there were no online customer reviews available at the time of our research. However, we did find one professional review from SupplementCritique, who came right out and called Blackline Elite “BS,” due in no small part to their underhanded advertising technique of mimicking Men’s Health articles and including fake celebrity endorsements.
Outside of this, it appears all other search results for “Blackline Elite reviews” returned fake reviews posted on affiliate websites, which are strategically designed to make you think you’re reading a legitimate review, although it’s really just more marketing hype.
Blackline Elite Pricing & Refund Policy
If purchased directly through the company’s website, Blackline Elite is priced at $99.47 plus free shipping.
However, we also came across a landing page during our research that offered Blackline Elite through a 14-day trial. Here, you’ll pay $4.95 for S&H and will be sent a 30-day supply of the supplement. After 14 days have passed, you’ll be billed $94.97 for the full price of the product, and will also be enrolled in the company’s “Elite Membership” program, which means you’ll continue receive a fresh supply of Blackline Elite once every 30 days, and your credit card will be billed $94.97 each time.
Blackline Elite comes with a 30-day refund policy, less S&H and a $9.95 restocking fee (except for your initial trial order).
In order to cancel your membership or to request a refund, you’ll need to contact customer service at 888-259-8769 for an RMA number.
Can Blackline Elite Help You Achieve Better Workout Results in Less Time?
Chopping to the Point: Considering the lack of clinical evidence showing that Blackline Elite’s ingredients can provide you with improved workout results, the company’s less-than-stellar advertising techniques, and the supplement’s negative reputation among industry professionals, it’s easy to believe that Blackline Elite’s price is far out of line with any benefits you can realistically expect to achieve from using it.
