When it comes to bmiSMART, they claim their line of weight wellness supplements can—when combined with appropriate diet, exercise, and mindfulness—help you achieve your weight loss goals and maintain it for the long-term. How’s it work?
Whether you’re talking about stress relief, good living, or anything in between, the word “mindful” has become a mainstay in modern advertising in recent years.
bmiSMART claims to use naturally derived plant-based extracts in each of their supplements that block carbohydrate, sugar, and fat from being absorbed by your body, in addition to helping curb your appetite. All you have to do is consciously take them before, during, or after meals as directed, depending on what you’re eating—which is where the mindful approach comes in.
Combined, bmiSMART claims their supplement line can help you lose weight now, while maintaining your results for the long term, giving you “the real, lifelong body change you desire.” Is there anything substantive behind their claims, though? Can you expect bmiSMART’s supplements to work in the real world as well the company makes it seem? Is it a good use of your money?
Let’s start answering all your questions by taking a look at bmiSMART’s different supplements.
bmiSMART’s Supplement Lineup
Overall, there are three different products in bmiSMART’s product line, which come in single serving packets:
I-Block Carb & Sugar Blocker
Tanitol Proprietary Complex 1,290mg: L-arabinose, Grape marc extract (Vitis vinifera)
By taking 2 tablets of I-Block with liquid before your two largest meals of the day, its natural ingredients prevent digestive enzymes from breaking down the carbohydrates and sugars found in your food. As such, they won’t be absorbed in your digestive tract and you’ll decrease your overall calorie intake.
In the end, bmiSMART claims I-Block can help you maintain healthy blood sugar levels and better manage weight fluctuations.
I-Control Appetite Reducer
Redusure Proprietary Fiber Complex 1,000mg: Glucomannan powder (Amorphophallus conjac), Carrageenan (red seaweed), Xanthan gum.
Compared to I-Block, you’ll take 2 whole capsules of I-Control with at least 8 ounces of liquid, 3 times per day, 30 minutes before each main meal. And instead of blocking sugars and carbs, I-Control features a dietary fiber that creates a “viscous and voluminous gel” and fills up to 43% of your stomach, which helps control your hunger in between meals.
In addition, as food passes through the fiber, it will become coated in the gel, leading to slower digestion once it reaches your digestive tract. Then, once the time comes, this gel is excreted naturally by the body.
bmiSMART claims that I-Control is so effective that 94.7% of subjects reported feeling “moderate to strong” levels of fullness.
I-Remove Fat Binder
Litramine Proprietary Complex 1,000mg: Cactus Opuntia (Ficus-indica leaf), Gum Arabic (Acacia sp.).
By taking the appropriate number of capsules immediately following a meal (especially a fatty one), I-Remove’s non-soluble fibers bind to fat and form a fat-fiber complex, which is too large to be absorbed and is eventually eliminated from the body. Through this process, you can reduce calorie consumption and promote weight loss.
In fact, bmiSMART claims I-Remove has been shown to reduce fat absorption by up to 28%.
Sure, all of this sounds great, but does the company provide any concrete clinical evidence backing up these claims?
Are bmiSMART’s Ingredients Effective?
Traditionally, arabinose has been used for flavoring and in the field of synthetic biology. In 2012 though, a company named Ludaxx announced the release of their proprietary arabinose-based sugar blocker named F21, which works by preventing the body from absorbing glucose. Unfortunately, we didn’t come across any third party clinical evidence showing the ingredient works as advertised.
Grape marc is basically the remains of grapes after they’ve been pressed for juice, including the skin, pulp, seed, and stem. These remains are high in micronutrients known as polyphenols, which may help prevent degenerative and cardiovascular diseases, and more. Again though, we didn’t uncover any clinical evidence drawing a direct line between polyphenols and weight loss.
Glucomannan is an ingredient we’ve frequently encountered when reviewing other weight loss supplements (more about this in a second). In a nutshell, it’s a dietary fiber that may help you feel fuller for longer periods of time.
There is some clinical evidence showing that glucomannan can help treat constipation and high cholesterol, but there’s insufficient evidence showing any relationship to weight loss. It’s much of the same story for xanthan gum as well.
Interestingly, Gum Arabic (also known as acacia gum) is the source for the arabinose we already discussed, although there appears to be insufficient clinical evidence linking it to weight loss.

Given their purported benefits and modest prices, what are customers saying about bmiSMART?
Are Customers Happy With Their bmiSMART Supplements?
Other than a couple reviews for a previous bmiSMART product named Liposinol, we didn’t come across any online customer reviews for the company, their supplements, or their proprietary ingredients. We also didn’t come across any customer feedback for bmiSMART’s parent company, InQPharm, either, and neither was listed with the Better Business Bureau at the time of our research.
What about all bmiSMART’s clinical claims?
Are bmiSMART Supplements Clinically Proven?
There are several claims on the bmiSMART website that might lead you to believe that they’re clinically backed, such as some ingredients can reduce fat absorption by up to 28%, and that for another, 94.7% of subjects reported feeling “moderate to strong” levels of fullness.
Unfortunately, the company provides no clinical evidence to back up their claims, and we didn’t find anything listed on the InQPharm website, either.
What Is bmiSMART’s “Mindful” Approach to Food?
Although it might sound like marketing jargon, is there anything behind bmiSMART’s mindfulness claim? Here’s how the company put it in one of their blog posts:
“The genesis of the bmiSMART Mindful Weight Loss concept comes from the manner in which the natural supplements are consumed with relation to food. Designed to be taken before, during or after meals, bmiSMART supplements engage individuals in the practice of “mindfully” choosing, then using the most effective “tool,” based on the real foods they plan to eat each day.”
Although this might not match the traditional definition of mindful eating, based on the simple fact that you’re thinking about what you’re eating (Does it contain lots of carbs and sugar? How about fat?), and that you’re actively monitoring your eating impulses, it just might give you an extra boost in your weight management.
Should You Place an Order for bmiSMART?
Want to know a big reason why there are so many weight loss supplements out there? For example, if you’re looking for a glucomannan-based supplement, you have options like Lipozene, Skinny Fiber, and SlendaTrim. Want something that also prevents food absorption? You have options like FBCx, Calorease, Sinetrim, and many more.
Among other things, it’s largely because no single solution will work for every individual. Based on this fact alone, one person might find the bmiSMART system to work well, while another might not experience anything at all.
Given the lack of clinical evidence provided, though—along with the fact that bmiSMART’s products are classified as supplements instead of drugs—we think any results you’ll experience will be minor. The company is upfront when mentioning that their supplements need to be taken along with exercise and a healthy diet, but exactly how much extra support you’ll receive remains to be seen.

I had no problems with bmiSMART
The products are awesome. I hit a plateau with my dieting and stayed the same weight. After adding i-remove and i-block, I lost ten pounds in 3 weeks. The company has high seller ratings on Amazon, as well as top notch customer service response times on Facebook (it says ”typically responds within minutes” on Facebook which is way higher than average). I question the bad reviewer, what his deal is, as this is a legitimate company that many of my friends recommended.
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
