About Comfort Gel Slippers

Comfort Gel Slippers claim to offer shock-absorbing relief for aching feet. They say its ultra soft micro terry exterior combined with non-slip rubber soles and gel-filled interior give you a slipper that’s comfortable and won’t ever flatten out.

Comfort Gel Slippers are sold by Ontel Products, who have been marketing lifestyle-enhancing products since 1994. Ontel Products are not accredited by the Better Business Bureau and currently have a C rating, because of the length of time to respond to complaints.

How the Comfort Gel Slippers Work

The Comfort Gel Slipper looks like a standard slipper, albeit one made of micro terry with velcro fastening strap and fat rubber sole (it comes in black or tan.) It claims to relieve pain in the feet, legs, knees, and lower back, which they say comes from a lack of support and cushioning when walking or standing for long periods of time. They add that 75% of Americans experience foot pain.

Comfort Gel Slippers boast its rubber soles are thick and contain an anti-fatigue gel which acts like a shock absorber to relieve aches and pains. They say you will feel comfortable and relaxed when you wear them, and that they will take the pressure off your feet and joints. They add Comfort Gel Slippers support and contour your feet and won’t wear out like regular thin slippers. To illustrate how buoyant their soles are, the infomercial shows an egg being dropped on two regular slippers, contrasted with one dropped on a Comfort Gel; the egg breaks on first two and then bounces off the Comfort Gel (don’t try this at home.)

They Claim Comfort Gel Slippers are great for indoor or outdoor use in areas such as kitchen, laundry, garage, or patio, and great for swollen ankles. In the video, they are touted by Dr. Anthony Ferraro, DPM, who claims to be a podiatrist that recommends them to his patients. They also have testimonials from what they claim are real people who try Comfort Gel and are amazed at how good their feet feel.

They state that the micro terry fabric will keep your feet cool in the summer and warm in the winter and its adjustable strap fits narrow or wide feet. They add the Comfort Gel Slippers are machine-washable and come with a lifetime guarantee (less S & H) that they will never flatten.

Comfort Gel Pricing, Shipping, and Returns

They say Comfort Gel Slippers with Aloe Cream are available for 2 payments of $19.99 or one payment of $39.98 with free shipping. However, you can get a second pair of the same size “free” for $9.99 S & H. A “Web Service Fee” of $1 will be added to all orders. They state you have 60 days to try Comfort Gel Slippers, and if you don’t like them return them for your money back (you pay to ship them back.) They claim their slippers have a Never Flatten Out Lifetime Guarantee, meaning they will replace any worn slippers, minus S & H charges.

Bottom Line: Is Comfort Gel Slippers a Scam?

There are a lot of slippers out there that claim to have gel-filled soles that relieve tired feet. We love the lifetime guarantee and free shipping, and relatively low cost for 2 pairs. We’re not so crazy about their response times to complaints and a call to the customer service number provided on the website was not working. We advise to proceed with caution.
