About Creme Del Mar

Crème Del Mar is an anti-wrinkle serum that targets the major factors leading to wrinkles and aging skin, and is claimed to provide advanced wrinkle reduction and prevention that can help you look as good as you feel. The serum’s manufacturer claims that Crème Del Mar’s powerful and exclusive formula contains peptides that help reduce fine lines and wrinkles, promote collagen production, add skin firmness, and replenish vitamins and antioxidants, in addition to soy protein, aloe vera gel, and ginseng root extract.

According to the product’s website, Crème Del Mar should be applied daily after washing and drying your face, and will begin working immediately.

It’s easy to believe that anti-aging manufacturers have your best interests in mind, and that their products really do work as advertised. But is this necessarily the case with Crème Del Mar? Consider the following:

Will Crème Del Mar’s Ingredients Reduce the Signs of Aging?

Outside of claiming that their cream includes peptides, soy protein, aloe vera gel, and ginseng root extract, we’re not informed exactly which ingredients Crème Del Mar includes, or how these can help reduce the signs of aging.

With this in mind, according to WebMD, there is insufficient clinical evidence available showing soy, aloe vera, or ginseng can provide any type of anti-aging benefits. Granted, although aloe vera may work as a moisturizer, this doesn’t necessarily translate into any direct anti-aging benefits. On top of this, telling us that Crème Del Mar includes peptides really isn’t giving us much information, since peptides are simply, “naturally occurring biological molecules consisting of “short chains of amino acid monomers linked by peptide (amide) bonds.”

Given this, we’d have to say that there’s too little information to conclusively say whether or not Crème Del Mar will reduce the signs of aging, although the ingredients we are told about likely won’t do the trick.

Crème Del Mar’s Advertising Tactics

According to the Crème Del Mar website, it was voted Best Serum 2013, and is considered the “Doctor’s Choice.” However, like many of the other anti-aging products we’ve reviewed here at HighYa, no additional information is provided, which might lead some to the conclusion that they’re not true.

Are Consumers Turning Back the Clock with Crème Del Mar?

Crème Del Mar has only recently been promoted (more about this in a second), so the anti-aging serum didn’t have any online consumer reviews available at the time of our research.

However, we did learn that as a company, Crème Del Mar is based out of San Diego, CA and holds a B+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. At the time of our research, Crème Del Mar had 4 closed complaints (as of 1/4/15), all of which referenced their 14-day trial and subsequent autoship enrollment (note: Crème Del Mar’s BBB file was just opened in September 2014). We’ll delve into this in the following section.

Crème Del Mar appears to sold primarily through affiliates, who earn commissions for each sale they refer. However, as independent “contractors,” these affiliate will often build fake review websites that are purposefully make you believe you’re reading a legitimate customer review, when they’re really just more sales material from the company. In addition, you’ll often see these affiliates including fake celebrity endorsements for products.

Crème Del Mar Pricing & Refund Policy

Crème Del Mar is available through the following purchasing options:

  • 14-Day Trial: $4.95 S&H
  • Bottle (16oz): $89.99
  • Buy 2, Get 1 Free: $114.99
  • Buy 3, Get 2 Free: $139.99

In addition to the 14-day trial, all Crème Del Mar purchases come with a $4.95 S&H charge.

If you choose the 14-day trial option, which begins from the date your order is place, you’ll receive a 30-day supply of Crème Del Mar. Then, after your trial has expired, you’ll be billed $87.63 for your initial order and subsequently enrolled in the company’s autoship program. This means you’ll continue receiving a fresh supply of Crème Del Mar once every 30 days, and your credit card will be charged $87.63 each time.

As we’ve mentioned on numerous occasions, including in our All About Autoship Programs article, it’s our opinion that free trials and their subsequent autoship programs are often more about getting as much money from you as possible than they are about providing you with any kind of convenience. Because of this, we often recommend that they be avoided altogether.

Outside of the 14-day trial, Crème Del Mar comes with a 30-day refund policy, less S&H charges.

In order to request a refund or cancel your autoship enrollment, you’ll need to contact Crème Del Mar’s customer service at 855-204-5101.

Can Crème Del Mar Help You Look Younger?

Chopping to the Point: Considering that:

  • We don’t know all of the ingredients contained in Crème Del Mar (and the ones we do know about have insufficient clinical evidence showing they work as advertised),
  • The manufacturer makes some claims that appear to be false, and
  • It’s only offered through a 14-day trial and subsequent autoship program,

…we might recommend saving your money and speaking with your dermatologist about additional methods of reducing the appearance of wrinkles.

Awful product and difficult to cancel

Saw this product on T.V. for 4.95 shipping to get the trial size. Credit statement came in before a 14 day time and I was billed for 87 and change. I attempted to reach they company by calling the number on the credit card statement, only to have someone answer and hung up before even a hello. Found no way to contact them. No receipt, no contact info. Another order came weeks later and new charge on the account. Package was returned to sender, so I don't even have the additional bottle. Put a stop order on this account for this company and now fighting to get a refund from this scam. Even when I tried the "trial" size, it worked no better than a generic lotion. Don't waste your time or money. If something comes with no contact info, it's a scam.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

    I have been ripped off

I contacted you people last month, telling you I had to cancel my order due to funds. You said it would be taken care of, now today I get another bottle. If I find out you charged my card I will contact my attorney and I will OWN your business. Now I suggest you credit my card a.s.a.p. or I will also smear your name all over the internet. Maybe I make myself clear now.

    False Advertising

    • Ketchikan, AK,
    • Mar 12, 2016

I did not like the product at all. For me it's too greasy. Plus I called one day too late (day 15) to cancel my trial and was very rudely told they would not refund the charges. All the gentleman kept saying was it was past the 14 day trial, over and over again. He must have said it a dozen times. Would not even get a supervisor on the phone. I'll never order anything off the internet again.

    Scam

I was looking at their advertisement online. I didn't order because the didn't carry my credit card. They called me and told me I would receive the sample jar of creme. I would only have to pay $1.99 for shipping and the trial was for 21 days. I told them I didn't want my credit card charged for anything else. Well after the initial charge of $1.99 for the bottle, they charged my credit card for $47.33 in January and again in February. By the time I got my statement the additional charges were there. After a heated conversation with them, they agreed to refund my money if I would drop the dispute with my credit card company.

    Happy with the customer service

I just called to cancel any more jars of crème from being sent to me. I spoke with a representative named Alex, and he was very nice and polite to me. Thank you for caring about an old lady. He assured me that I will not have any more charges to my account. He was truly a gentleman.

    Rip Off

    • New York,
    • Feb 23, 2016

Big Rip off! They do not mention anything about being charged every month for their automatic shipping. Send back sample if ordered. They do not answer their phone. Please do not order from this company.

Also, when I did finally get customer service they refused to let me return it despite their website indicating that they offer full refund or exchange.

    What?

    • New Port Richey, FL,

I ordered the promo deal and paid for it. Then they sent me more without my permission and put a collection agency on me to pay for what I did not order. What's up with that?

Do not order from this company

    • Dothan Al,
    • Nov 16, 2015

I received the 14 day trial period was not pleased with the product. Did not do anything for me. Did not know that I would be charged 87.63 for the product later on. Called to try and have my money returned on my card, they said they could only refund 50%. I am very upset about this, people work too hard for their money to be ripped off from people that are already filthy darn rich. If I had known I had to do a trial period and order the product afterwards I would have never taken place in ordering the product. Pissed off.
