About Diabazole

Diabazole is an all-natural supplement that’s claimed to help diabetics manage their blood sugar by increasing insulin sensitivity, supporting healthy glucose levels, maintaining healthy blood pressure levels, strengthening cardiovascular function, and promoting healthy metabolism. Diabazole’s manufacturer even claims that the supplement is proven to reduce inflammation, all in as little as 10 days.

In order to help you “beat diabetes naturally,” Diabazole contains only 100% natural ingredients, such as turmeric, berberine, piperine, and curcumin. According to the company, their formulation can not only improve your blood sugar levels, but can also help stop degeneration, reverse the effects of diabetes, and give you better health than a non-diabetic.

Hold your horses! While Diabazole’s manufacturer makes some really big claims (can you imagine if they really discovered a cure for diabetes?), let’s find out what you can really expect from the supplement.

First, we’ll take a look at the causes of diabetes.

What is Diabetes? What Causes It?

Diabetes occurs when a person’s body is no longer able to break down the sugars it needs to survive. This is because a hormone called insulin, which is produced by the pancreas, attaches to sugar and makes it available for digestion by your cells. As such, without insulin, your body can no longer process sugar, leading to high blood sugar levels and potentially severe consequences.

However, not all diabetes is the same.

Type 1 diabetes occurs when an individual’s immune system views insulin cells as an “outside force” and attacks them, eliminating the body’s ability to process glucose. While it’s uncertain what exactly causes this to occur (some have proposed it’s due to a specific virus), it usually means the person will require regular insulin injections for the remainder of their life.

On the other hand, type 2 diabetes (also known as “adult onset diabetes”) occurs when an individual’s body no longer produces enough insulin to adequately process sugar. This is the most common form of diabetes around the world, and is generally thought to be caused by genetics, obesity, lack of exercise, and more.

Because many type 2 diabetics can still produce at least some insulin, it can often be treated with lifestyle changes and oral medications, and in severe cases, insulin injections as well.

Seem like a relatively easy situation to cure, right? As it turns out, this isn’t the case.

Can Diabetes Be Cured?

Although it seems like a simple cause, there is currently no diabetes cure to date, contrary to what’s insinuated on the Diabazole website. As we mentioned above, diabetes can often be effectively managed, and may even go into remission, but it will likely require a lifetime of treatment.

As you might imagine, effectively treating your diabetes requires close monitoring by your physician, who can recommend a course of action based on your specific diagnosis.

Now we know that Diabazole certainly won’t reverse your diabetes, but can it help you manage your blood sugar levels, or provide any of the other benefits claimed by the manufacturer?

Can Diabazole Manage Your Diabetes?

According to the two Diabazole websites we consulted when researching this review (more about this in the Pricing section), the supplement only contains 3 ingredients:

  • Turmeric (curcumin)
  • Berberine
  • Piperine

Turmeric (the main spice in curry) is a plant thought to contain ingredients that can decrease inflammation. However, other than for reducing osteoarthritis-related pain, there is insufficient clinical evidence showing turmeric can provide any of the benefits claimed by Diabazole’s manufacturer.

On the other hand, there seems to be some compelling evidence that berberine may “slightly reduce blood sugar levels in people with diabetes.” In fact, taking 1,000mg to 1,500mg of berberine per day may be as effective at managing blood sugar as some prescription medications.

Diabazole’s manufacturer references some of this research by linking to a 2008 article outlining the potential benefits of berberine on patients with type 2 diabetes.

Piperine (commonly known as black pepper extract) doesn’t provide any benefits on its own, but may help some of Diabazole’s ingredients be more easily absorbed by your body.

Ultimately, this means the only ingredient found in Diabazole known to address diabetes is berberine, although we’re not told how much the supplement contains, or if this is enough to provide any benefits.

Regardless, what kinds of side effects can you expect with Diabazole?

Diabazole Side Effects

Diabazole’s ingredients should be well tolerated by most individuals, although excessively large doses of turmeric can lead to stomach upset, nausea, dizziness, or diarrhea.

Also, berberine shouldn’t be taken by individuals already controlling their blood sugar through other means, including prescription medications.

As we mentioned above, you should always consult with your physician before taking any supplements to control your diabetes. Failure to do so could result in physical harm, or even death.

Up to this point, we’ve only talked about Diabazole the supplement. But what about the company behind the product?

What’s the Link Between Diabazole & Diabacor?

Diabazole is manufactured by Markmann Nutraceuticals based out of Tempe, AZ. Although the company didn’t have a website, they did have an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau, based on no closed complaints (as of 8/4/15).

However, Markmann Nutraceuticals also manufactures Diabacor, a diabetes supplement that contains all the same ingredients as Diabazole. In fact, they could very well be the same product, but with different labels.

There were only 2 HighYa reader reviews for Diabacor at the time of our research, which gave the supplement an average rating of 1 star. Common complaints cited failure to work and difficult customer service experiences.

Granted, with such a small data pool, this doesn’t means you’ll experience the same with Diabazole. In our opinion though, it’s fairly likely.

Diabazole Pricing & Refund Policy

How much you’ll pay for Diabazole depends on where you purchase it. If purchased through this long-form landing page, Diabazole is priced at:

  • 1 Bottle: $49.95
  • 2 Bottles: $119.90
  • 4 Bottles: $199.80

On the other hand, if you buy Diabazole through their 14-day trial website, you’ll pay $4.95 S&H for a 30-day supply.

Then, after your trial has expired, you’ll be charged $89.36 for the full price of the product. You’ll also begin receiving regular shipments of Diabazole once per month and your credit card will be charged $89.36 each time.

According to the long form page, Diabazole comes with a 90-day refund policy, even if the bottle is empty, less S&H charges and a 10% restocking fee. Outside of the trial, it doesn’t appear refunds are available.

In order to request a refund (depending where you purchased Diabazole), cancel your trial, or stop your automatic shipments, you’ll need to contact customer service at 888-638-2030.

Can Diabazole Manage Your Blood Sugar Levels?

Although the berberine contained in Diabazole might help manage your blood sugar level, this seems to be the only effective ingredient. On top of this, there’s no product label and no way to know how much berberine Diabazole contains, whether or not it will be effective, and if any side effects can result.

Considering this, if you’re dead-set on finding out if berberine can help manage your diabetes, you can find 30-day supplies of the supplement online for as little as $14. In fact, you might be able to find berberine at your local pharmacy to save even more on S&H charges.

Long story short: Based on the lack of information provided by the manufacturer and its high price, we’d recommend speaking with your physician instead of ordering Diabazole.
