About DOGgeviti

You understand that dogs really are “man’s best friend,” and DOGgeviti, a “breakthrough” new nutritional supplement specifically formulated for canines, claims to help them live happier, healthier lives through the use of oligopeptides and naturally occurring growth factors.

But is there any substance to these claims? We fetched some facts, and here’s what we found out.

Quick Facts About DOGgeviti

If you’ve turned on your TV or spent any time online, you know that there are a wide variety of nutritional supplements that claim to improve your health in one way or another. But did you know that there is now a dietary supplement for your canine companion? DOGgeviti is a “breakthrough” natural daily supplement that claims to use oligopeptides and naturally occurring growth factors—which DOGgeviti claims are the “building blocks of life”—to help restore your dog’s deteriorated connective tissue, and to improve their quality of life.

DOGgeviti claims to accomplish this primarily through the use of peptides extracted from undeveloped chicken embryos. In addition, DOGgeviti claims to regulate adrenal function, which can improve your dog’s blood pressure, metabolism, cardiac function, and amino acid levels. On the whole, this is claimed to give your dog “a new lease on life” by providing them with the following benefits:

  • Slows the aging process
  • Boost energy and vitality
  • Increases mobility through healthier joints and ligaments through the use of Connective Tissue Growth Factor (CTGF)
  • Promotes healthy wound and surgery recovery
  • Provides a healthy coat and skin through the use of Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF)

What Do Other Consumers Have to Say About DOGgeviti?

DOGgeviti is manufactured by Longeviti Sciences, LLC based out of Van Nuys, CA. The company and their products appear to be relatively new, as they’re not listed with the Better Business Bureau, their URL was registered in November 2013, and DOGgeviti’s trademark was just filed in March 2014.

As a result, we were unable to locate any online customer reviews during our research.

What’s the Bottom Line About DOGgeviti?

It’s increasingly common for us to consider our dogs as full members of our families, and to take many of the same steps to ensure their health as we would with any other family member. With this in mind, products like DOGgeviti are targeted to an underserved market, and have the potential to become very popular. However, before you purchase this supplement, consider the following:

First, DOGgeviti is an “As Seen on TV” product, which tend to have lower customer satisfaction ratings than other types of products. It’s often the case that they don’t perform as advertised, and/or that customer service is generally poor.

As with many of the less reputable human nutritional supplements, other than informing us that DOGgeviti uses peptides derived from chicken embryos, there is no additional information provided about the exact ingredients, a product label, or even where the supplement is manufactured. With such little information, you probably wouldn’t put something like this in your body, so why should you with your dog?

Finally, DOGgeviti appears to be a very new product, so there were no online customer reviews at the time of our research. This makes it difficult to gauge overall customer satisfaction levels, or to outline common problems.

Between its “As Seen on TV” status, lack of nutritional information, and lack of customer reviews, we might recommend holding off on purchasing DOGgeviti.

Update: Longeviti Sciences has recently issued a press release claiming that:

  • “DOGgeviti® and its anti-aging properties have been studied exhaustively in both the United States and the European Union, and the results produced have been very encouraging.”
  • “As dog joint supplements go, DOGgeviti® has performed with a higher degree of efficacy than any competing dog joint supplement on the market.”
  • “According to the study results, DOGgeviti® has exhibited an unquestionably positive impact on canines of all ages, but senior canines in particular have experienced the most profound improvements.”

However, no references to these studies are made available either on the DOGgeviti website, or in the press release. As we’ve mentioned countless times, including in our Nutritional Supplements Buyer’s Guide, manufacturers can basically make any claims they want, without having to back them up. In our opinion, it would go a long way for the company to provide a full list of ingredients on their website, and to provide a link to the study that proves the product’s efficacy. Without this evidence, these simply just amount to more unsubstantiated claims.

    Love it!

    • Oklahoma,
    • Oct 10, 2015

I was on a plane coming back from AZ and met one of the owners of DOGGeviti. He gave me a bottle. I gave it to both of my Schnauzers. I have used Dinovite and loved it only I wish it was in a pill form because it changes the taste of the food. I use it primarily for their coat. They had developed sores and the Dinovite took them away. However, the dogs didn't like it. So They love the DOGGeviti and it accomplishes the same thing. It's so much easier to give them.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Great Product. Where's The Human Version?

    • Jul 12, 2015

Brutus is my now nine year old Great Dane. He has been suffering with Hip Dysplasia since 2012 and had become completely non-ambulatory (put his food and water close so he didn't need to get up). After just four days of DOGgeviti he was back on his feet again and after seven days he jumped in our bed to wake us up. It was the first time my wife was ever happy that happened. It was like he was two years old again. Amazing stuff.

Incidentally, there is an extensive FAQ on their website that answers the concerns you address. Also, I just made a call to the company and requested a copy of their "Pilot Clinical Study", which they sent me right away. In the study it listed the ingredients consisting of the oligopeptide you referenced, along with "Natural Liver Flavor" whatever that means.

So far, so good. Great company to deal with, great product for my dog.

      Laurie from CT.

A little confused about your review. You raved about the company and the product results, but in the "Bottom Line" remarks area, you wrote "No, I would not recommend this to a friend". Is this a typo, or is there a reason why you would not recommend it?

      Rich

Yes, that was a typo. Based on my personal experience I would recommend DoGgeviti to any dog owner. It's good stuff. Sorry about the typo.

    DOGgeviti for Max

    • Cleveland, OH,
    • Jun 30, 2015

My dog is a 9 years old Doberman. Eight months ago he lost his voice and couldn't move his legs without pain, Max couldn't bark or go three steps without crying - literary crying. After several visits to vet clinics Max was diagnosed with jammed nerve in his cervical spine and damaged vocal pipes. He was advised to have a surgery with no guaranties what so ever. In the mean time he was treated with strongest pain killers and anti inflammatory drugs.

We decided to provide Max as much comfort as possible without surgery. One lucky Monday May 12th my wife told me about a product advertised on YouTube the DOGgeviti. I called the phone number listed on the YouTube, I talk to a rep and I was convinced to buy this product. After three days my Max showed very positive, noticeable improvement in his behavior. Six days later Max was walking and barking.

This product is a miracle product.

    Poor service bad product

My small dog had diarrhea and stomach upset when I gave him this product. After four emails to costumer service I have yet to have a single reply. I did talk on the phone with an Emeric Delczeg who told me he was the creator of this product and instead of sending me my refund sent me another jar of the product which I did not want. If you look up Emeric Delczeg on line you will see that this is a big scam. Don't throw your money away!

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend
