About dualBEATS

dualBEATS is a pair of high fidelity over-the-ear headphones that can act as normal headphones for private listening, as well as an audible speaker so that you can share your music with others.

dualBEATS is claimed to feature custom vented memory foam padding that forms an airtight seal to block out external noise, while internal drivers deliver high-resolution audio. And with just the push of a button, you can turn your headphones into powerful built-in amplified speakers for external listening pleasure. According to the manufacturer, this means that dualBEATS can help you experience movies and music the way the artists intended to deliver it, and to deliver a state of the art  listening experience.

dualBEATS headphones are claimed to use an USB-rechargeable lithium-ion battery that can provide hours of play time on a single charge, as well as onboard volume control to ensure your music can’t be heard by anyone else. And when you’re finished using your lightweight and portable dualBEATS headphones, the company claims they can be easily stored in the included travel bag.

2-in-1 devices are commonplace for many types of products, but are a relatively new in the world of headphones. But are dualBEATS as useful as they claim, and are they worth the price? Consider the following:

You Have Options

Simply perform an online search for “speaker headphones,” and you’ll quickly find numerous manufacturers offering products similar to dualBEATS, many of which are priced lower. In addition, a variety of these products can be found at big box retailers such as Best Buy, Walmart, and Target, which can make the purchasing (and return) process less involved.

How Will You Use Your dualBEATS Headphones?

Whether you choose speaker headphones from dualBEATS or another manufacturer, keep in mind that although the external speakers can provide a great deal of convenience (e.g. you don’t have to carry speakers around with you), they will be heavier and more cumbersome than other types of headphones.

And because of their weight and size, speaker headphones like dualBEATS may not be ideal for strenuous physical activity (such as the skateboarding shown in the product’s promo video), since they’ll have a tendency to fall off your head; even moreso when sweaty.

Are Other Consumers Pleased with Their dualBEATS purchase?

dualBEATS’ URL has only been registered since September 2014, and as such, there were no online customer reviews available at the time of our research.

With this said, dualBEATS is manufactured by Inventel, a relatively new company in the “As Seen on TV” industry who makes popular ASOTV products such as Butterfly Abs, Gripeez, and many more.

Among HighYa reviews, these products hold an average rating of 1.5 stars, with some of the most common complaints citing poor quality products that don’t perform as advertised, and poor customer service (difficulty reaching representatives, who are ultimately rude and unhelpful). While this may not necessarily be your experience with dualBEATS, as an informed consumer, it’s an important factor that should weigh into purchasing your decision.

dualBEATS Pricing & Refund Policy

dualBEATS is only sold via a 30-day trial, which will initially cost $14.95 to cover S&H charges. After 30 days have passed, you’ll be billed one payment of $39.99, and a second $39.99 installment 30 days thereafter, bringing your final total to $94.93.

For this price, you’ll receive the following:

  • dualBEATS headphones with lithium battery
  • USB charging cable
  • Audio cable
  • Plush carrying bag

dualBEATS comes with a 30-day refund policy, less S&H charges. While this is good, keep in mind that if you decide to return your dualBEATS, you’ll immediately lose $15 is S&H charges, in addition to whatever it costs you to send the headphones back to the manufacturer.

In order to initiate a refund, you’ll need to contact customer service at 862-437-1111 x14.

Can dualBEATS Really Provide You with 2-In-1 Convenience?

Chopping to the Point: Although dualBEATS may work as advertised, without any online customer reviews available, it’s difficult to say whether or not they’re worth the $100 price tag. However, if you’re will to gamble roughly $20 in S&H charges in order to give dualBEATS a try, you might find they’re worth your while.
