About Evogen Carnigen

Evogen Carnigen claims to be a stimulant-free, potent, ultra-premium carnitine blend that helps your body convert more fat to energy, while also promoting post-workout recovery. Evogen claims to feature a new form of carnitine never before seen in sports nutrition products, thereby making it an elite energy and recovery catalyst, and “the perfect fat loss solution before cardio or training.”

In order to accomplish this, Evogen Carnigen is claimed to use key vitamins, minerals, and bioavailability enhancers, along with 4 forms of carnitine, each of which was evaluated based on efficacy and potency, including:

  • Vitamin B6 1mg
  • Pantothenic Acid 3mg
  • Phosphorus 5mg
  • Magnesium 5mg
  • Carnigen Blend 1,000mg: L-Carnitine L-Tartrate – Claimed to provide cellular energy, to help recover from exercise, and to improve muscle oxygenation. Acetyl L-Carnitine – Claimed to help provide antioxidant support to the central nervous system, support brain energy levels, and promote concentration. L-Carnitine L-Fumarate – May help increase energy production. L-Carnitine Orotate – Evogen calls this form of l-carnitine a “technological breakthrough” due to its ability to keep blood sugar levels low.
  • BioPerine 5mg

In order to further optimize your fat loss, Evogen claims that Carnigen can be stacked with their Lipocide metabolic accelerator.

According to the company, Carnigen tastes delicious (the front label shown on the website indicates raspberry lemonade), and is as easy as taking one serving 1-2 times per day, approximately 20-30 minutes prior to training. Simply mix one serving with 4 fl. oz. of cold water and consume immediately.

Evogen Carnigen Pricing & Refund Policy

If purchased directly through the manufacturer, each 4.44oz container (enough for about 90 servings) of Evogen is priced at $34.95, although you’ll also find the supplement sold through Amazon for a couple dollars cheaper.

There is no refund policy listed on the Carnigen website, or in the product’s Terms & Conditions. There also isn’t a phone number provided for customer service, so you’ll either have to send an email to info@evogennutrition.com or a message through their online contact form.

Can Evogen Carnigen Promote Fat Loss & Recovery?

The short answer to this is yes and no. Why?

Because from a weight loss perspective, while carnitine can help transport fatty acids so that they can be burned as fuel, there remains insufficient evidence showing that this actually translates into weight loss. Furthermore, carnitine has been shown to be most effective for individuals with carnitine deficiencies, but once carnitine levels are normalized, many of these benefits cease to exist.

SuppWithThat.com sums it up nicely when they write, “Carnitine does possess the mechanisms by which it “should” burn fat, but has yet to demonstrate actual weight-loss potential in a clinical setting.”

On the other hand, when it comes to recovery, SuppWithThat notes “Carnigen should be quite effective, given that the research in that area is unanimous.” In other words, carnitine has shown to be very effective at helping muscle recover from workouts.

Who is Hany Rambod?

Since you’re interested in Evogen Carnigen, in all likelihood you probably already know who Hany Rambod is. But in case you don’t, he has a storied history within the bodybuilding world, including working as trainer for 13 Olympia titles, and as a trainer and prep coach for other top athletes within the field.

With this said, Evogen is owned by Mr. Rambod, which might add a lot of credibility to some of their claims.

Feedback for Evogen Carnigen

Reading Carnigen’s reviews on Bodybuilding.com’s forum, most users claimed they loved the taste, and that it offered a little extra “push” during workouts. Basically, they claimed that the supplement does what it says.

However, each of these individuals was provided a free sample in exchange for a review. And outside of these, there are essentially zero online reviews that can be used to gauge Carnigen’s overall satisfaction levels.

Bottom Line

Carnitine supplements like Evogen Carnigen have come back into vogue recently, primarily because there is some decent clinical evidence behind their claims. However, Carnigen will likely be much less effective for weight loss than it will be for recovery, so keep in this in mind if you decide to order. Also, you’ll likely want to contact the company to inquire about their refund policy, or you could just purchase it directly through Amazon.com.
