Focus T25 is produced by Beachbody, LLC, who also produces the P90X3 and Insanity series. The company holds no rating with the Better Business Bureau, despite having 81 closed complaints within the past three years. Some of the most common complaints specifically for the Focus T25 program include high price, poor quality DVDs, and exercises that can easily result in injuries.

How Focus T25 Works

In today’s hectic world, people are looking for better results in less time, which has definitely spilled over into the exercise industry. Similar to P90X3, Focus T25 is the newest addition to the market for short, intense exercise programs designed to maximize your results in a minimum amount of time.

The Focus T25 system is meant to be used for 25 minutes per day, 5 days per week, and comes with everything you’ll need in order to begin. Exercises focus on one muscle group at a time, and move on to another once that group has reached its maximum ability. Because the Focus T25 workouts are intense, each exercise will also include a modified version, which will allow you to quickly build your strength up to that of the main version. However, it should be noted that numerous consumers have complained that the modified versions were limited on instruction, leaving some users to figure things out for themselves.

Bottom Line:

As our two Focus T25 Challenge participants noted in their final review of the program, there are a couple important factors to consider if you’re thinking about spending your hard-earned money on it.

First, although both participants rate the program highly and would recommend it to their friends, it seems to be more suited for individuals looking to become toned, rather than to lose any kind of significant weight. In fact, one of our participants actually gained weight due to an increase in muscle mass.

Second, because the T25 exercises are so physically demanding and often don’t include alternate versions, you may achieve better success if you’re already somewhat fit. On top of this, the program actually involves 7 workouts over 6 days (not the 5 days per week advertised by the manufacturer), which increases the amount of time you have to spend exercising by a whopping 40%. As we mentioned above though, both our participants rated the program an 8 out of 10, despite beginning with very different fitness levels and body types.

Finally, our participants’ frustration levels steadily increased over the course of the program, which was primarily due to the fact that the exercises were difficult, and that they weren’t experiencing any meaningful weight loss. As such, if you approach the program with a realistic understanding of what it can provide, you’ll likely avoid much of this frustration.

    Just No.

    I had a sore left side and my mid section hurts. It hurts to eat and breath deeply and run or walk fast. Only do this if you already exercise. I am in middle school and when my teacher set me up to do this, I was like "Eh", but this whole week I was experiencing soreness and swelling. I have two close friends who I recommend this to, but no one else.

    Just please don't make children or adults work hard who don't exercise.

    Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

    I loved it.

    I'm a 40 year old women with two kids. I started T25 after I had my second child. I had an extra 20 pounds to loose. I've always been a gym bum but don't have the time anymore. This program kicked my booty. It made me work harder than I've ever worked at the gym. I've done alpha, beta and gamma. I started loosing weight the second week after I started the alpha. I lost about a pound per week. So by the time I was done with the beta, I had lost all the baby weight. Best work out program. Hands down.

    Keep doing it after you finish

    After finishing the program I realized that I'm still not anywhere near my goal. T25 takes longer to get the results than what the program says. I didn't start seeing results until the last two weeks of Beta. After finishing the program, instead of buying Gamma, I decided to focus on areas that needed the most work. I like doing more of the dynamic core than the rest because I still had belly fat after the program and I was eating healthy. Now I am starting to slim up a lot and get muscle in my stomach. I still have to take short breaks on some of these workouts. I've done Insanity and it's not harder to me, just longer.

    Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

    The fact that Shaun T can come up with such efficient workouts still blows my mind. I started insanity over a year ago and never finished because I hated how long they were. I loved that I only had to set aside 25 minutes a day in order to work out (50 on my double day). I definitely got a lot stronger from the program, and I stuck with it to. I didn't get the flat stomach, but that's because I ate whatever I wanted. The abs are there for sure, just slightly hidden because I didn't follow the diet. If you're like me and don't have time to workout for long periods of time I would definitely recommend giving T25 a shot. Shaun T is awesome, don't doubt him.

      Most of what you read online is Beach body's marketing campaign. They flood and i mean flood with internet with phony reviews and millions of positive comments.

      Be careful. It says you can get a serious injury. Here you are trying to be better and you end up far worse health wise and much poorer. People will hurt you to get your money.

    It works on some

    I did the 60 day T25 challenge and in the result I got toned and built muscle. But I didn't lose weight or body fat, because I have a very complicated body type where I don't lose weight easily. So this workout, I personally feel, didn't get me the result I expected, but what I did leave with is the habit of daily exercise. I also realized there is no such thing as lose weight fast. It is never quick and easy and this video definitely proves that. This workout will only help you if you are ready to commit and stick to a low calorie diet, which T25 also suggests.

    Tone it up

    This is a good workout program to tighten up and I built strength with it and felt very good because I was working out 6 days a week. I didn't see much weight change until I got on a diet. Now that I'm done with the program I stopped working out pretty much. So if anything it was worth doing because I it helped me work our everyday.
