About Forskolin Fit Pro

Forskolin Fit Pro is a new weight management supplement that’s claimed to contain 250mg of 100% premium forskolin root extract to help improve your metabolism, burn stubborn fat, and build lean muscle. As such, the manufacturer has dubbed ForskolinFit Pro “a natural, energy-boosting extract that will change your body for the better.”

ForskolinFit Pro is claimed to be manufactured in the USA and to cause no unwanted side effects.

In your search for a weight loss supplement that actually works, ForskolinFit Pro might be your first introduction into the world of forskolin-based supplements. But can you expect it to work as well as the manufacturer claims, or to provide a solid return on your investment? Consider the following:

What Is Forskolin? Can it Help You Lose Weight?

Forskolin is a “labdane diterpene that is produced by the Indian Coleus plant (Coleus forskohlii),” which has been used for centuries in traditional Ayurvedic medicine to treat a wide variety of conditions, including high blood pressure and chest pain.

According to the ForskolinFit Pro website, forskolin works by using the messenger cAMP (Cyclic Adenosine Monophosphate) to activate enzymes that burn existing fat. In addition, forskolin is claimed to support healthy testosterone levels and to prevent the formation of new fat. And if you were only relying on the ForskolinFit Pro website, you might think it’s a foregone conclusion that forskolin provides all of these benefits.

But what does science have to say? While we’ll let you read the entire article for in-depth details, as we mentioned in The Great Forskolin Hoax, there is essentially zero clinical evidence showing that forskolin can provide any of these benefits. Here’s a direct quote:

Forskolin has been “used in more than 18,000 in vitro and in vivo studies” between 1981 and 2008, and there have been just two clinical trials completed on this chemical in relation to its potential weight loss benefits—only one of which has been subjected to peer review.

Despite this lack of evidence though, forskolin supplements started flying off shelves after being featured on the Dr. Oz show, which is something that’s become known as the Dr. Oz effect.

Will Forskolin Fit Pro Cause Any Side Effects?

According to the Forskolin Fit Pro website, the supplement does not cause any unwanted side effects.

According to WebMD though, forskolin can result in side effects such as flushing and low blood pressure. Because of this, although you should always speak with your physician about any new supplements you’re thinking about taking, forskolin should not be used by individuals with low blood pressure or other heart conditions.

Forskolin Fit Pro’s Advertising Methods

Perhaps because there’s essentially no evidence showing that forskolin can provide any benefits, Forskolin Fit Pro’s manufacturer uses specific advertising methods to cause you to make an emotional decision, versus an informed one.

This includes featuring an image of an attractive model in the center of the screen, and in the upper left-hand corner of the screen—where your eye is naturally drawn—claiming that the supplement is the “hottest weight loss solution.” This is intended to make you think “Hey, I want to look like that!”

Then, you learn that the manufacturer is having difficulty keeping up with supply, you might be inclined to think that there’s really something to the supplement’s claim, and that you better hurry if you want your own bottle. In our experience, this is almost never the case.

Finally, you learn that you can obtain a “free trial bottle” (we’ll talk more about this in a moment), which relieves your tension and pulls you in to making an emotional purchase. For full details about these types of advertising tactics, be sure to read How Weight Loss Ads Convince You to Buy.

Are Forskolin Fit Pro’s Customers Happy?

Similar to other trial-based nutritional supplements (more about this in the Pricing section), Forskolin Fit Pro is only marketed through independent affiliates, who earn money from each sale of the supplement they refer. Because of this, affiliates will often post fake online customer reviews (see here as examples) that are intended to mislead instead of inform.

Outside of these affiliate reviews, there were no legitimate ForskolinFit Pro online reviews available at the time of our research.

With this said, we’ve reviewed some of the most popular forskolin supplements here at HighYa, including Pro Lean Forskolin, Trim 250 Forskolin, and Forskolin Belly Buster. And among 30 HighYa reader reviews for these products (as of 3/16/15), they had an average rating of 1 star, with nearly all complaints referencing failure to work, as well as difficulties cancelling free trials and autoship programs.

Unsurprisingly, all of the testimonials featured on the Forskolin Fit Pro website are positive. However, there wasn’t a method of providing feedback on the supplement’s site, which leads us to believe these reviews might be fake.

Forskolin Fit Pro Pricing & Refund Policy

ForskolinFit Pro is only available through a 12-day trial for $5 S&H (USPS First Class Mail) or $15 for USPS Priority, for which you’ll receive a full 30-day supply of the supplement.

Then, after your trial expires, you’ll be billed $59 for the full price of the product you already received. At this same time, you’ll also be enrolled in the company’s autoship program, which means you’ll continue receive a fresh supply of ForskolinFit Pro once every 30 days, and your credit card will be charged $59 each time.

Important note: In our professional opinion, free trials are only intended to grab your credit card number and ensure you’ll pay full price, while autoship programs are meant to rack up as many charges as possible before you figure out what’s going on. Because of these concerns, we generally recommend staying away from these types of products.

Outside of the trial, refunds don’t appear to be available for ForskolinFit Pro purchases.

In order to cancel your trial or your autoship enrollment, you’ll need to contact customer service at 888-221-2554.

Will Forskolin Fit Pro Help You Lose Weight?

Chopping to the Point: Considering the almost complete lack of clinical evidence showing that forskolin can help individuals lose weight, the manufacturer’s less-than-stellar marketing tactics, and the fact that it’s only available through a free trial/autoship program, it’s our opinion that Forskolin Fit Pro is a scam.

    Costumer service sucks.

They will NEVER refund your money even after trying to send back the product. They take your money and WON'T even send you a replacement or anything. And they will keep charging your card. I have to cancel my credit card because I can't trust them with my information. They won't help you with anything. Don't buy and look for another way of loosing weight. Like eating right and working out. Someone else charged this to my account. And they still couldn't do anything about it.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

The product is better than what everyone is saying.

I ordered the free 30 days trial for $5 shipping and handling. Although I was a little skeptical due to the few negative reviews that I saw, but I decided to take a chance. I received my product within the following week. I started taking my Forskolin on Friday 8-5-2016, today is Friday 8-12-2016. I started out 197.0lbs and today I am 191.0lbs, so my experience was totally different from everyone else's negative experience. I will continue to keep you all updated on my results.

    Scam!

    • California,
    • Jun 19, 2016

I took advantage of the 15-day trial and was sure to call and cancel before the 15 day period expired. Luckily I was able to get through unlike other reviewers. Of course I sat through them trying to convince me not to cancel, which is expected of any trial offer, but then they told me that the only way to cancel was that I had to send my free trial back, and then call them with the tracking number! They provide no information anywhere else on how to make the return, so I had to take down the address to send it back to (they didn't want to give it to me) through the customer service person's broken English which was very difficult to understand.

I then had to send it UPS on my dime back to them. I then called them back with the tracking # and they told me I have to call back tomorrow because it didn't show up yet. I just canceled my credit card because I do not trust them to not charge me even though I jumped through all of their hoops.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

    Bad Company

I was recently in a car accident around the same time I started my 15 day free trial. I called to cancel (after the date I was suppose to) and they would not work with me at all. I told them my situation and how I was a little preoccupied with being in an accident. It wasn't until the money came to my account that I remembered. Yes, I understand what it says in the contract. But in my opinion, people who aren't willing to help others out don't deserve your money.

    Scam alert

    • Pennsylvania,
    • Nov 17, 2015

I've been trying to cancel my order since I received the product. I can't get through the phone line and the emails always say sending failure. They charged me $85, when the website said $59. Complete nonsense. I need to find out how to cancel this 'order' and get a refund.

I'm such an idiot I ordered two of their products. I called them and told them that the product did not fit my goals. Now I have to mail the product back. Glad I didn't even open the Forksolin. For the other one, it's $79. Luckily I ordered the product 12 days ago and returning it now. It's a 30 day product, but past 15 days you are charged the $59.

    What a SCAM

    • Chicago, Illinois,
    • Nov 12, 2015

I paid 5.99 shipping for a "free" bottle of Forskolin Fit Pro. I received this product ton he 22nd of October. I started taking two capsules a day like recommended on the 22nd. I weighed myself on the 22nd also. Today is November 4th. I decided to reweigh myself 14 days later. I have not drastically lost any weight, or even lost any weight for the matter. I have 32 capsules left and have no interest in continuing this product. Today I checked my bank account and $82.18 was taken from this scam product. It would be a different story if the product worked, BUT IT DOESN'T. So now I'm stuck with 32 capsules that are suppose to help reduce weight gain and I'm out $82.18. I tried talking to customer service and was not able to get my money back from this stupid product. I'm very upset. Please do NOT try this product. It doesn't work and they steal your money. I will never recommend this to anyone. This doesn't even deserve any stars.

    Scam alert! Buyer beware.

    • Houston, TX,
    • Aug 31, 2015

This company is a scam. I'm a personal trainer and fitness personality. I was contacted by a representative for Forskolin Fit Pro and told that they were interested in endorsing me. They asked that I sign up with them to receive their product. I would only pay the shipping and handling on the product and the products would be mine to use and advertise my results. Seemed legit. I went ahead and signed up. I received an email that day thanking me for enrolling into a program that would bill me almost $80/month unless I cancelled within 12 days. I immediately called to cancel. The representative on the phone informed me that the order was still in processing and assured me that it had not been sent out and that my membership was cancelled.

Now 2 weeks later I'm being billed for a product I cancelled. These people are a scam. Buyer beware!

      Jessi

So I thought it was legit too and ordered. I've called both numbers a million times for the past week and haven't gotten a hold of any representative. It either hangs up automatically or just beeps. I've emailed them three times. What should I do? Should I go to my bank and cancel that card?

    • Feb 1, 2016

      Annette

I advise you to go to your bank and inform them you did not authorize that transaction. Have them cancel it and issue you a new card to evade this scam.
