About Forskolin Save
Manufactured by VistaSave, Forskolin Extract Save claims to be a 100% natural nutritional supplement that can break down fat cells, lower blood pressure, and increase lean body mass, which might ultimately help you lose weight. On top of this, when compared to the competition, Forskolin Save is claimed to be 20% standardized and to be formulated using only pure, natural forskolin extract.
As we’ve noted in some of our previous reviews regarding supplements from this manufacturer, they appear to specialize in providing “extra servings” of their active ingredients, supposedly with the thought that this will increase their benefits. But is this the case with Forskolin Extract Save, or does it just amount to a marketing gimmick?
How Forskolin Save Claims to Work
As a chemical found in the root of the Coleus Forskohli plant, Forskolin has been used in traditional medicine for thousands of years to help alleviate a wide range of ailments, including high blood pressure, chest pain, and asthma. Today however, supplements such as Forskolin Extract Save are being marketed for weight loss benefits, due in no small part to the ingredient’s appearance on the popular Dr. Oz daytime TV show in May 2014 (we’ll talk more about this in the final section).
Despite its popularity, Forskolin Save is claimed to be different from the competition by providing 250mg of 100% pure coleus forskohlii, which is standardized to 20% Forskolin, resulting in dosages that are 50% greater than the recommended daily amount. In addition, unlike many other weight loss supplements, Forskolin Extract Save is claimed to contain no caffeine or other types of stimulants.
Forskolin Save is manufactured in the USA in an FDA-approved and GMP certified facility, and the manufacturer claims that by taking 1 capsule 20-30 minutes prior to eating twice daily, most customers lose 8-10 pounds in 30-45 days. Despite this, other than skin irritation, Forskolin Extract Save should not result in any side effects, although you shouldn’t take the supplement if you’re already taking nitroglycerin or medications for high blood pressure.

Can Forskolin Save Help You Lose Weight?
Considering the proliferation of natural weight loss supplements, in addition to Dr. Oz’s recent Senate hearing for many of the claims he makes on his show, you’re probably inundated with hundreds (or thousands) of different claims. With this in mind, can Forskolin Extract Save legitimately help you lose weight? It’s technically possible, but carefully consider the following:
First and foremost, consider that while Forskolin has been shown to, “work on muscles in the heart and in the walls of the blood vessels….and to produce a more powerful heartbeat and widening of the blood vessels, which lowers blood pressure,” there is insufficient evidence showing that it has the ability to help you lose weight. In fact, although Forskolin has helped some clinical study participants decrease body fat percentages, increase bone density and lean muscle mass, and to mildly increase serum testosterone, none of these participants actually lost weight.

The Company Behind Forskolin Extract Save
Forskolin Save is manufactured by VistaSave based out of Sandy, UT, who also manufactures Garcinia Cambogia Save, Garcinia Cambogia Boost, as well as many other “flavor of the day” supplements such as green coffee bean extract and raspberry ketone. In fact, much of the text found on the Forskolin Save website is nearly identical to the text on their other supplements’ sites.
In addition, the VistaSave is not listed with the Better Business Bureau, and as we mentioned in previous HighYa reviews for the company’s products, they do not appear to have been in business for 5 years as they claim. While this doesn’t necessarily mean that their supplements don’t work, it certainly brings into question the legitimacy of their other claims, and might suggest that they’re jumping on the bandwagon in order to earn money off the “Dr. Oz Effect.”
Forskolin Save’s URL was just registered in July 2014, and as such there are currently no online customer reviews that can be used to gauge overall satisfaction levels. However, looking at other popular forskolin supplements on the market targeted at weight loss, many appear to have low customer satisfaction ratings, with some of the most common complaints reference failure to work, upset stomach (often alleviated by taking with food), and excessive regularity. As such, this may be what you can expect with Forskolin Extract Save.
When it comes down to it, supplements such as Forskolin Save may help you lose body fat and increase lean muscle mass, but they have no clinical evidence showing that they can help you lose weight in any way. Because of this, you’ll definitely want to talk with your physician about more effective methods of losing weight and keeping it off, including regular exercise and a healthy diet.
