About Forskolin Ultra Trim

Forskolin Ultra Trim is a 100% natural nutritional supplement made of 20% forskolin that’s claimed to burn fat quicker without dieting or exercise, while also increasing lean muscle, breaking down tissue fat, boosting metabolism, naturally increasing energy, and preventing new fat from forming.

Whether you first heard about forskolin on Dr. Oz’s popular daytime TV show, or about Forskolin Ultra Trim through an online advertisement, it’s easy to believe that it’s a “miracle” supplement that can help you shed pounds without any drastic changes to your lifestyle. But is this really the case? Almost certainly not, and here’s why:

What is Forskolin? Where Does it Come From?

A member of the mint family, coleus forskohlii (also known as Plectranthus barbatus) has been used for centuries as a treatment against heart-related problems, as well as asthma. In 1974, researchers identified and isolated the chemical in coleus forskohlii that decreased blood pressure in humans and decided to name it forskolin.

According to supplement manufacturers, forskolin increases levels of cAMP within your body, which can help break down fat and can help prevent new fat from forming.

Despite these claims, forskolin remained relatively under the radar until being featured on the Dr. Oz Show in May 2014, where the TV doctor claimed it acts like a furnace to ignite fat. Since this time, forskolin sales have skyrocketed, and people just like you all across America are wondering if this plant really works, which we’ll delve into next.

Is There Clinical Proof that Forskolin Ultra Trim Works as Advertised?

As we detailed in our The Great Forskolin Hoax article, there is essentially no clinical evidence available showing that forskolin works as advertised, and zero evidence showing forskolin can help you lose weight.

Granted, there are 2 references listed on the Forskolin Ultra Trim website: The first is a 2005 study indicating that forskolin might help alter body composition, and is the most popular study referenced on all of the forskolin supplements we’ve reviewed here at HighYa. However, the key here is that even though many of the study’s participants altered their body composition (e.g. reduced fat), none of them lost a single pound. The second reference on the Forskolin Ultra Trim website is just an overview of forskolin, and simply references the study mentioned above.

So how can Forskolin Ultra Trim’s manufacturer get away with making these claims? As we outlined in our Nutritional Supplements Buyer’s Guide, supplements are subject to essentially zero governmental oversight before being marketed. In fact, the FDA only gets involved once enough consumer complaints have amassed. And even if the FDA does get involved, by the time the case works its way through the legal system, the manufacturer could be on to selling their next supplement, and the process begins all over again.

Forskolin Ultra Trim’s Selling Tactics

Given the fact that there’s basically zero clinical evidence showing forskolin supplements work, manufacturers will often resort to making “emotional sales” instead of informed ones, which we detailed in our article How Weight Loss Ads Convince You to Buy.

In the case of the Forskolin Ultra Trim website, we can see this at work with the image of the attractive, fit model in the upper left-hand corner. Then, our eye naturally moves to “Attention: Due to popular demand, we cannot guarantee supply. As of January 6, 2015, we currently have product IN STOCK and ready to ship within 24 hours of purchase,” which causes a sense of urgency. Finally, this urgency is relieved when we learn that we can order a trial to see if we like the supplement (more about this in the Pricing section).

Are Consumers Talking About Forskolin Ultra Trim?

Forskolin Ultra Trim is a very new product and didn’t have any online customer reviews available at the time of our research.

With this said, Forskolin Ultra Trim is sold through a large network of affiliates, which are independent contractors who earn a commission from each sale they refer. However, these affiliates will often resort to less-than-stellar marketing techniques, such as posting fake review websites. These are typically out there just to trick you into thinking you’re reading a legitimate customer review, when it’s actually just more marketing hype.

Forskolin Ultra Trim Pricing & Refund Policy

Forskolin Ultra Trim is only sold through a 14-day trial for $4.95 S&H, which begins from the date your order is placed. For this amount, you’ll be sent a 30-day supply of the supplement.

Then, once your trial ends, you’ll be billed $89.95 for the full price of the product and immediately enrolled in the company’s autoship program. This means you’ll continue receiving a new bottle of Forskolin Ultra Trim every 30 days, and your credit card will be charged $89.95 each time.

As we’ve mentioned numerous times in the past, it’s our opinion that products sold only through free trials and autoship programs are best avoided, as customers generally find that they’re more about getting as much money from you as possible that they are about providing you with any kind of convenience.

Outside of the trial, Forskolin Ultra Trim comes with a 14-day refund policy, less S&H charges, although this only applies to your most recent shipment. Important note: In order to be eligible for a refund, your return bottle of Forskolin Ultra Trim must be received by the manufacturer within 14 days of being shipped. This means that you’ll likely only have 2-3 days to try out the supplement before being required to return it.

With this said, to request a refund or to cancel your autoship enrollment, you’ll need to contact customer service at 855-512-5953.

Will Forskolin Ultra Trim Magically Help You Lose Weight?

Chopping to the Point: Considering the almost complete lack of clinical evidence showing that forskolin supplements can help you lose weight, we believe that Forskolin Ultra Trim’s very high price is far out of line with any benefits you can reasonably expect to achieve from using it.

Despite this, if you’re dead-set on purchasing a forskolin supplement, they can often be found at your local pharmacy for a much lower cost.

    Zero result

What a waste. 30 days following protocols and nothing. Called and told it would take 2-3 months to work. So what is the 30 day guarantee mean/worth? Inaccurate advertising. Haggled with customer service about guarantee. They started at 30% off/refund. Finally ended up at 90% off, but it took a while.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

    Scam

    • Delaware,
    • May 22, 2016

When I was ordering I selected one bottle. It did not even ask me to verify my order. When the order went through it had all kinds of additional offers which I declined. And when it finally added up everything and gave me a total, it said that the final purchase was for three bottles instead of one, plus an extra fee for the extra strength. And it came out to like a hundred and fifty bucks. When I finally called the company and told them that I ordered one bottle and not 3, they told me that they could not refund my money back to me. Then I asked to speak to a manager and after threatening to call the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General's office, that's when they decided they had no problem to refund my money immediately. This is such a big scam. No one should try this offer at all, just for the pure fact that they try to trick you into buying more than what you're looking for.
