About Genie Cool Bra

Genie Cool Bra is a bra that promises it will lift, support, and also cool you down while providing comfort. It’s the latest iteration of Genie Bra products including the Genie Bra and the Genie Zip Bra that both tout wireless, strapless hook-free comfort and lift for women of all bust sizes. The company behind Genie Bra is Tristar Products, who sell a variety of “As Seen On TV” items such as the HealthMaster Blender and the Power Juicer to name two. Tristar has no rating from the BBB because they say the company is “in the process” of responding to consumer complaints. Currently (as of June 2014) there are 881 resolved complaints and 128 where the customer was not satisfied.

But how “cool” are Genie Bras? Let’s take a peek…

How Genie Cool Bra Works

Genie Cool Bra, like the others, are bras designed for comfort. They all have no underwires, bra straps, or hooks. Instead, they are made from a single piece of fabric and offer what they call “3 zones of control” – lift, shape, and support. (The Genie Zip Bra adds a zipper down the front.)

The Genie Cool Bra, on the other hand, touts “100% Cooling Technology.” They say it’s made of advanced cooling fabric, but don’t disclose any more information. (The regular Genie Bra is listed as 96% nylon and 4% spandex.)

They also boast of 3 cooling “breakthroughs” which they say are an open-mesh back panel (which also “smooths away back fat”), removable cups that allow fresh air in and remove perspiration, and an inner pocket with “high quality cooling yarn.” They promise these breakthroughs will actually lower your skin’s temperature.

Genie Cool Bra Pricing and Returns

Genie Cool Bra is listed as “Buy 3 Get 3,” meaning you get 6 total Genie Cool Bras – 2 white, 2 nude, 2 black and they say they add an additional blue Genie Cool Bra free. Total cost: $69.96 (billed as 1 payment of $59.97 or 3 payments of $19.99 plus $9.99 P&H) for 7 bras.

There is both a 60-day return policy (minus S&H) and a 60-day limited warranty on Genie Cool Bra. They say to follow the return instructions provided by customer service.

Bottom Line: Is Genie Cool Bra a Scam?

Genie Bras are essentially all the same product, with a few differentiations. So if you like, and are familiar with Genies and have been having problems with overheating, you may want to consider Genie Cool Bra.

However, there are a few things you should also think about. Genie Products have decidedly mixed reviews: women either love them or hate them. Since we’ve listed all the benefits touted by Genie, we’ll offer the negatives that customers have been saying. Typically:

  • The bras don’t fit right or are uncomfortable
  • They are smaller than the size listed
  • The orders never arrived or they received the wrong order
  • Customers are billed for extra items
  • Difficulties with customer service for return or warranty

What many of these reviewers suggest is to visit your local department store and actually try the Genie Bra to see if it fits; most versions are usually made available a short time after being introduced. That way you know whether it will give you the comfort and support you desire and returns will be much less difficult.

  • Wasn't comfortable, didn't fit right.

    • Boynton Beach, FL,
    • Oct 26, 2016

Got the order but it didn't fit right. Returned it for a larger size but it still didn't fit. The bottom of the bra was very uncomfortable and would roll up. Even the larger size which was a 2x didn't fit. I'm not that big but the bra was definitely too small. They wouldn't take the 2nd order back so I lost about 70.00. What a rip-off.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

    Never received product

    • Pekin, IL,
    • Oct 16, 2015

I placed an order and waited several weeks. When I contacted the company and explained that I never received the bra, they said it wasn't their responsibility once it was shipped. The tracking number they gave me never worked. Finally, my husband got through to someone and they agreed to ship another one, but I never received it either. Lost $17. This is a scam.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

    Poor customer service

    • Goldsboro, NC,
    • Oct 3, 2015

Placed 2 orders starting in December 2014 and June 2015. Never received first order. June's order received 90 days later. Wrong size sent. Called and put on hold for almost an hour with no results as yet. This company should be ashamed.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend
