About Genie Zip Bra
Genie Zip Bra is the latest in the line of comfort bras from Genie that is claimed to have no painful under wires, difficult hooks, or digging straps as well as 3 zones of comfort for total support; this model adds a zipper to the front for easy on-and-off.
But is Genie Zip the comfortable, durable bra they promise it is? Let’s see if the facts “support” their claims.
How Genie Zip Bra Works
They say Genie Zip Bra is designed for seamless comfort for women of any size bust. They boast you can wear with low-cut tops, sweaters, or dresses while still giving you total coverage. The Genie products all claim to be made from comfort stretch fabric that is machine washable and have “360 degrees of shaping technology” for the bust, back, and side zones. They say it will smooth away back fat, lift and separate the bust, and control underarm and side spillage.
They say wearing the bra will give you better lift, support, and comfort while improving posture. There are no wires, clasps, or straps that they say ride up or cause discomfort and difficulty putting on. Although they tout the Genie Zip also doubles as a sports bra, the main difference between this version and the other Genies seems to be the addition of a zipper in the front. They say, like their other bras, it is so comfortable you will forget you are wearing it.
Genie Zip Bra Pricing and Returns
Genie Zip Bra comes in 7 sizes (S, M, L, XL, 1X, 2X, 3X) in black, nude, or white and retails on the website for $10 plus $6.99 shipping and handling for a total of $16.99. If you would like another Genie Zip Bra in the same size and color, add another $6.99 in fees. There was no information about a return policy listed on the Genie Zip Bra website; a call to customer service revealed a 60-day return policy, minus the shipping/handing fees and what it costs you to send it back.
Our Review: Should You Buy the Genie Zip Bra?
Finding a comfortable bra is a challenge for many women, especially those with a large chest. The Genie products have been around for many years and have mixed reviews from women who have bought them. Specifically, some have said the Genie Bras tend to run on the small side, don’t last as long as promised, aren’t comfortable, and don’t give any support. In addition, there are numerous complaints about long shipping times, poor customer service, deceptive billing practices, and receiving the wrong sizes in the mail.
In fact, these are complaints are typical of many “As Seen On TV” products. The company behind Genie Zip Bra is Tristar Products, who sell dozens of other items including the Clear TV, Perfecter Fusion Styler, Genie Bra, and more. Currently, Tristar does not have a BBB rating; the BBB says Tristar is “in the process of responding to previously closed complaints.” The number of these closed complaints listed on the BBB website is over 1000 in the last 3 years – these include advertising/sales issues, delivery problems, and problems with the products themselves.
Does this mean if you order the Genie Zip Bra you will have these same difficulties? Perhaps, like the BBB says, they are trying to clean up their act and this new version of the Genie Bra addresses some of the fitting, support, and delivery problems outlined above.
But we echo what many women have said online: wait until Genie Zip Bra is available from a local retail outlet where you can try it on first. That way, you know what you are getting fits, won’t have any shipping or billing issues, and will have an easier time returning the product if necessary.

Wrong size received
I ordered 3 Genie Zip bras, 1 black two white. When I received the bras they were too small and I ordered the suggested size. I called in for a return label and reordered in a larger size. They were on back order so when I received them the black was in the correct size but the white were the same size I returned, but the packing slip had the correct reorder size. I called them yesterday and they said they were out of the larger sizes and to try the large on and call back. I said why would I want to do that when I know they are too small. She gave be the option of spending $16.00 to return them or keeping them and gifting them to someone and receive a credit of $7.50. I paid $31.97 originally for the 3 bras and then a $16.00 return charge. I would not recommend doing business ever again with Genie Zip Bras. What a misrepresentation of your products.

Wonderfully comfortable bra
This is the most comfortable bra I have ever worn and I've been wearing these exclusively for 8 months. I have a KK cup size and so am very hard to fit. I've used other brands of comfort stretch bras and have found them too small, but the Genie zip is long in front (no cups) which gives good coverage and long in back which gives good support. It pulls my breasts against my chest, minimizing my size. As a previous reviewer wrote, zipping it over my breasts is almost impossible, so I zip it above my breasts and then pull it down (and my breasts up). The final result is that it covers most of my breasts, from my chest wall to just a couple inches of cleavage at the top. It never pulls on my shoulders or cuts into my sides. It is so comfortable it feels like a second skin. Try it for yourself.

Not worth it!
There is no way one person can fasten this bra. Then when you try to return it, you find out you owe more postage which the return label says you will not. It's a joke and I do not advise ordering this bra!
