Created by Dr. Alan Pressman and manufactured by Wellformative, Gluco-Secure is a nutritional supplement that claims to be a “super sugar buster” by using ingredients that mimic insulin within your body. The supplement accomplishes this by using the “7 most powerful non-prescription blood sugar-stabilizers known to scientific research” to normalize glucose levels within your blood.
Wellformative holds a C+ rating with the Better Business Bureau, which is based on two closed complaints within the past three years. Regarding Gluco-Secure specifically, the product appears to be part of an affiliate program, which, combined with its relatively short time on the market, makes legitimate online reviews few and far between. However, we were able to locate one customer review, which complained of poor customer service.
How Gluco-Secure Works
According to the Gluco-Secure website, abnormal glucose levels within your blood can cause serious health concerns, including the onset of diabetes. However, this supplement helps “clear” glucose from your blood, and to provide the natural energy you need to take on the day. In fact, the Gluco-Secure website claims that controlling your blood sugar should be your number one health concern, as most degenerative diseases are directly linked to “out-of-control” blood sugar. As a result, the supplement was created using seven powerful blood sugar stabilizers:
- Chromium – 200 mcg: This ingredient is critical to metabolizing fat, building muscle, and converting sugar into energy.
- Gymnema sylvestre Leaf Extract – 200 mg: An herb that acts as a “bottleneck” for glucose. In other words, it only allows a certain amount of glucose to enter your bloodstream at any one time. Yielding: Gymnemic acid – 50 mg
- Cinnulin PF (Cinnamon extract) – 125mg: Boosts glucose metabolism.
- Alpha Lipoic Acid – 100mg
- Bitter Melon (Momordica Charantia) Extract – 80mg. Yielding: Charantin – 0.4 mg
- Lagestroemia speciosa L. (Banaba) Leaf Extract – 50 mg. Yielding: Corosolic Acid – 0.5 mg
- Vanadyl Sulfate – 5mg: A mineral that mimics insulin, removes glucose from your blood, and then inserts it into your muscles.
These ingredients are claimed to provide a wide range of benefits, such as:
- Stabilizing blood sugar levels throughout the day, which helps keep your energy level high.
- Ridding yourself of carbohydrate cravings, as well as a “foggy” brain and difficulty remaining still.
- Controlling your weight.
- …and more!
Gluco-Secure is claimed to be clinically studied, safe to use, and result in no known side effects. Each bottle contains a 30-day supply (60 capsules), which should be taken once at breakfast and once at dinner.

Bottom Line: Is Gluco-Secure a Scam?
While Gluco-Secure does appear to be a legitimate product intended to address the problem of fluctuating blood sugar levels, there are a couple things you should keep in mind when ordering.
First, like most nutritional supplements, Gluco-Secure has not been evaluated or tested by the FDA, which means that there have been no formal studies showing the supplement performs as advertised. However, the company’s website claims it has been clinically studied, though no references to these studies were provided. Before you begin taking Gluco-Secure, be sure to consult with your physician, especially if you’re diabetic.
Next, the supplement could be considered relatively expensive, and the automatic autoship enrollment can be confusing. Because of this, you may want to set a reminder for yourself at the 25-day mark to make sure you remember that you’re about the be charged an additional $79.95.
Finally, even if you don’t decide to keep your Gluco-Secure supplement, you’ll be out the original $9.95 shipping and handling, in addition to any charges incurred by sending it back to the company. Ultimately, you could be out $20 or so, just for giving the product a try.

After taking two bottles, my sugar has not regulated even using the same amount of insulin. My A1C is down .7 points, which is good, but my daily readings are still high. I do not want anymore medicine until Dr. Wallach tells me why my levels are not down the way he promised on the radio show I listened to.
Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Customer Service Issue
The website, when I ordered three bottles of Gluco-Secure put up a warning duplicate entry? No mention of the products I ordered, but it said order complete? I called Friday morning about this problem and I got nowhere with the customer rep, they said wait 24 hours. I called back with no results and they could not find my order. I called Monday, and the same thing, wait 24 hours. I sent an e-mail to them but got no response? I think they have a pretty bad operation there with their website and their customer service department.
Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend
