As a company, Idea Village holds a D rating with the Better Business Bureau, which is based on 149 closed complaints over the past three years. As with most “As Seen on TV” products, you’ll be offered a pair of “free” HD Wraparound Sunglasses, just for paying a separate $5.99 S&H. For both the HD Night Vision and HD Wraparounds, this will bring your total to $21.98.

If you’d rather purchase from a traditional retailer, HD Night Vision Wraparounds are also available from Amazon.com for as little as $14.67

Bottom Line: Are HD Night Vision Wraparounds a Scam?

So, bottom line: are HD Night Vision Wraparounds a Scam? Based on our research, they appear to be a legitimate product that performs as advertised—at least for most users. With this said, there are a couple things you should keep in mind prior to placing your order.

First, “As Seen on TV” products generally tend to not have the highest levels of customer satisfaction. However, most customer reviews we read had positive things to say about the HD Night Vision Wraparounds, with the most common complaints being not working as advertised, large size, and tendency to slip off.

Finally, even though the HD Night Vision Wraparounds come with a 30-day refund policy, this is less any shipping and handling charges. This means you’ll basically only get $10 back if you decided to return the product, while losing out on the initial $11.98 S&H charges, plus anything incurred by you to send the product back to the manufacturer. However, nearly all “As Seen on TV” products make the majority of their money through excessive shipping and handling charges, and the HD Night Vision Wraparounds appear to be no different.

    Epic Fail

    • Loccata, TX,
    • Feb 10, 2016

The claims made by HD Night Vision Wraparounds are completely false. There is no glare reduction. Do not waste your money on these like I did.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

    Waste of money

    • Jan 7, 2016

These "HD Night Vision" glasses are completely ineffective. There is absolutely no discernable visual differences, besides imparting a yellow tint. They don't even have a polarized coating.

For ten bucks, it's not worth the trouble to return them. Just toss them in the recycle bin and chalk them up to a learning experience. I always wanted to try them and now I have.

    Poor customer service

    • San Antonio, TX,
    • Dec 30, 2015

I ordered my glasses on November 30. I paid the for a rush order fee. The shipping and handling was more than the glasses. It's now December 17 and still no glasses. You cannot even call to complain since they have no number for you to call. This a scam.

    Communication is non-existent

    • NC,
    • Dec 20, 2015

I ordered these on 11/28/15 and received them on 12/8/15. The problem was I was offered fast shipping for an addition of $15.98 or a total of $21.97. I called the number 866-304-4252 and you get on the merry-go-round and never does anyone pick up. I emailed ideavillage@customerstatus.com, no reply! I assume that is their importer. Useless. The 2 might be worth the $10.00 but the "fast" shipping is a joke. The ad looks good but not in person. My view - China, I should have known.

Ok the Night Vision Wraprounds do change bright lights at night to orange, it does help driving. The rest is bad. Cheaply made. Took over eight weeks to get, customer service sucks. S&H is a rip off. Save your money. You can get them at Walgreens for $10.

    Terrible Glasses

    • Savannah, GA,
    • Nov 1, 2014

This product is a total waste of money. The glasses actually make it worse rather than better. Not only do they NOT cut night glare, they just turn it yellow which looks even worse. Don't waste your money.
