What Is IntelleX Plus?

Published on: Mar 23, 2017

IntelleX PLUS is a nootropic supplement that promises to take your brain to the next level. According to the manufacturer, the supplement is meant to enhance cognitive abilities such as focus, speed of thinking and recall.

It looks as though this product is a new iteration of a product that used to be called Geniux, which we’ve previously reviewed here at HighYa. According to the products main website, the list of claimed benefits includes:

  • Enhanced short term memory
  • Drastically increased long term memory
  • Improved energy levels
  • Better concentration
  • Continually increased brain performance
  • Focus with laser precision
  • Clearer mental vision

Obviously, that’s a pretty loaded set of benefits. Being able to simply take a pill and have mental “superpowers” would be incredible for many of us who are looking to maximize our productivity in our everyday lives. So, how exactly does IntelleX PLUS claim to work? And are those claims substantiated with scientific evidence? Let’s find out.

How Does IntelleX PLUS Claim To Work?

According to the supplements main website, the ingredients used in IntelleX PLUS are a proprietary blend that has been specifically formulated, and is backed by decades of research. The manufacturers claim that this formula starts working within 15 minutes, and that taking one pill each morning will allow you to maximize the nootropics effects.

Beyond that, there isn’t a whole lot to go on, at least from the limited information provided by the manufacturer. That brings us to one of our primary concerns about the product; the ingredients.

What Are The Ingredients In IntelleX PLUS?

We’re not told the main ingredients on IntelleX PLUS’s main website, and it doesn’t look as though the supplements ingredients are listed anywhere else on the web, as far as we could tell in our research. Attempts to clarify the ingredients with the manufacturer have been fruitless: Initially, we called the support line listed for the company, only to get an agent who claimed she “couldn’t pronounce” the ingredients, but she could send them over to us via email. Unfortunately, that particular email never arrived.

We tried a second time to reach out via the support line the next day, and this time, we were greeted by an agent who claimed that they did not represent IntelleX PLUS and couldn’t give us any information on the supplement. This time, we sent an email out to the company’s email support line hoping for a link to the ingredients. The support team got back to us shortly, telling us that we could find the ingredient list on the product website. When we wrote back to ask where specifically we could find this list, we never heard back from them.

Obviously, this raises a few potentially large red flags. Here at HighYa, we’re naturally wary of products and services that don’t offer a clear and concise way to find hard, factual information about whatever it is that is being sold. We did manage to find a citations page on the main website for the supplement that listed a few studies for Royal bee pollen, manuka honey, propolis, and tyrosine. Out of those ingredients, only tyrosine is listed as “possibly effective” for improving mental performance and memory under stressful conditions, as well as for improving alertness following a lack of sleep, according to its WebMD page.

So, what does this tell us? Without knowing what’s inside the brain supplement, and without any further clarification or support from customer service, we can’t accurately make an informed statement about its effectiveness.

So, how much exactly are you going to have to pay for this unknown set of ingredients? Let’s find out.

IntelleX PLUS Pricing & Return Policy

It looks as though IntelleX PLUS is currently offered in 3 different pricing tiers:

  • Single bottle (30-day supply) - $74.95
  • 3 bottles (90-day supply) - $153.99
  • 5 bottles (150-day supply) - $179.99

It doesn’t look like the company operates any sort of autoship program, and according to the terms page, you are under no obligation to purchase anything else after your initial payment.

As for returns and refunds, the company offers a 30-day money-back guarantee on first-time orders only. This applies even if you’ve used the entire bottle of the product. It should be noted that although the refund is available for 30 days, you’ll need to actually contact the company at their support line within the first 20 days. Additionally, you’ll have to cover the shipping and handling to get the product back to the manufacturer. You’ll also be responsible for a $5 restocking fee.

Remember, though: We had a great deal of difficulty reaching out to support for information during our research. We’re not claiming you’re sure to experience the exact same situation when trying to get a refund, but we certainly want you to be aware of this potential headache going into the purchase.

What Are Others Saying About IntelleX PLUS?

As of the time of this writing, we haven’t been able to find many legitimate reviews of IntelleX PLUS online. What we have been able to find, however, is a wide variety of affiliate review sites offering up reviews of the product. This is something we encounter quite a bit in our research here at HighYa, and if you’d like to know more about these sites and how they work, you can read our in-depth guide here.

At HighYa, we’ve reviewed hundred of nutritional supplements over the years, and we’ve often found that these affiliate sites don’t support their claims with factual evidence, or might focus heavily on the product's potential benefits, while skimming over any negatives.

The Bottom Line: Is IntelleX PLUS Right For You?

Bringing together everything we’ve learned about IntelleX PLUS, and our experience reviewing hundreds of nutritional supplements, the lack of clarity regarding the ingredients, several less-than-amazing customer support experiences, and some fairly high prices, we feel it might be a better bet overall to plan a trip to your physician about your options for boosting mental function and performance prior to purchasing this.

If you’d like to give IntelleX PLUS a shot, we’d say your best bet would be trying the single bottle option. This way, you can gauge the supplements effectiveness for yourself, and take advantage of the return policy should you find that it’s not for you.

Are There Any Alternatives?

There are many different types of nootropics out there on the market today, and many of them do in fact list all of the ingredients they use clearly, unlike IntelleX PLUS. We’ve encountered so many of these types of products over the years that we ended up creating an article about it. You can read more about the reality behind brain supplements right here.
