About Intellux

Intellux is a 100% all-natural nootropic supplement that’s claimed to enhance neurotransmitters in the brain in order to improve focus, enhance mental clarity, boost cognitive precision, and improve energy and motivation. In other words, Intellux is claimed to “give you a mental edge.”

In order to accomplish this, Intellux is claimed to contain a 100% pure phosphatidylserine complex that’s been scientifically proven to work in “research-driven human studies,” all of which is manufactured in an FDA approved and GMP certified facility.

But is Intellux really the “#1 rated all natural smart pill,” or is it just a con to steal your hard-earned money? To answer this, let’s first take a look at what causes cognitive decline.

What Causes Cognitive Decline?

If you begin experiencing difficulty remembering, have noticed that your recall time has been increasing, or are otherwise stuck in a “brain fog,” keep in mind that this can stem from dozens of causes, including some medications, drug use, lack of sleep, excessive stress, nutritional deficiency, and more. Obviously, this can also result from more severe conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, head injury, stroke, and more.

In either instance, if you’re increasingly experiencing any of these symptoms, you should immediately speak with your physician, who can recommend an effective treatment plan based on your specific diagnosis.

However, what Intellux claims to address is a condition known as Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI), which is often brought on as a result of the aging process. But is anything contained in the supplement that’s effective for treating MCI?

Intellux’s Ingredients

Without a product label available on the supplement’s website, the only thing we’re told about Intellux’s ingredients is that involves a phosphatidylserine complex. But what does this mean?

Phosphatidylserine is a chemical mostly obtained from food that’s thought to play a key role in brain cell maintenance, among many other functions in the human body.

Because of this, phosphatidylserine (when derived from cows) supplementation is listed as “possibly effective” for treating age-related memory decline, as well as the symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease. However, WebMD notes that, “most supplements now use phosphatidylserine from soy or cabbage. Researchers do not yet know how phosphatidylserine made from these plant sources compares with phosphatidylserine made from cow brains in terms of effectiveness for Alzheimer’s disease.”

The recommended phosphatidylserine dose for treating Alzheimer’s is 100mg three times daily, although we’re not informed how much is contained in Intellux, or whether or not this is enough to provide any benefits.

For more, be sure to read through The Truth about Memory Supplements.

Despite the potential efficacy of phosphatidylserine, does it cause any side effects?

Intellux Side Effects

Most individuals should tolerate phosphatidylserine well, although doses over 300mg may cause insomnia and upset stomach. Again, we don’t know how much phosphatidylserine Intellux contains, or what kinds of side effects you might experience.

Also, as we mentioned in the previous section, the clinically studied form of phosphatidylserine is derived from cows, so it’s not vegetarian-friendly.

Side effects aside, are there other methods of addressing cognitive decline?

Other Methods of Addressing Cognitive Decline

Outside of supplementation with products like Intellux, there are numerous methods you can start using today in order to prevent memory decline in the future. This includes exercising regularly, eating a Mediterranean-style diet, performing mental exercises, getting plenty of sleep, and more.

Additional methods include avoiding smoking, taking antioxidant vitamins such as vitamins C and E, maintaining a positive network of friends, and more.

Finally, let’s talk about the recent explosion in nootropic supplements.

Nootropics Galore

Over the past couple years, the HighYa team has watched dozens of brain health supplements enter the market, including popular options such as Brain Storm Elite, Neuroflexyn, Addium, and many others.

And with well over 100 reader reviews for these products, they have an average rating of 2 stars, with common complaints citing failure to work, high price, and difficult customer service experiences (difficulty processing refunds, etc.). Granted, this doesn’t mean you’ll experience the same with Intellux, but it’s certainly something to be wary of.

But if you’re still dead-set on giving Intellux a try, how much will it cost you?

Intellux Pricing & Refund Policy

Intellux is available in 3 different packages:

  • 1 Bottle: $49.85
  • 3 Bottles: $113.82
  • 5 Bottles: $149.95

All orders include free shipping.

Intellux comes with a 30-day refund policy, less S&H charges and a $9.95 per-bottle restocking fee. In order to request a refund, you’ll need to contact customer service at (888) 908-1193.

Should You Give Intellux a Try?

Between not knowing exactly which ingredients are contained in Intellux (or how much) and its high price, it’s impossible to say whether or not you can expect the supplement to work as advertised, or to provide a solid value for your money.

Given this, based on our experience reviewing dozens of popular nootropics, it’s our opinion that instead of placing an Intellux order, your money might be better spent by making an appointment with your physician, who can formulate an effective treatment plan to address your memory loss.

  • Not what they claim

I ordered this product and found that it did not work for me.

I called the customer service number because the product was under 100% guarantee, not so much.

The website states that the return is easy and friendly yet I was harassed about the return for a long period of time.

At first, I was told that there was no refunding the product. When I quoted what the website said about the 100% guarantee, I was asked to wait while he "talked to his supervisor", then I was told that I could return it and receive 50% of the cost.

When I continued, he told me that the best he could do was 35%. Finally, I got my refund to be 100% EXCEPT for a restocking fee of $9.00 per bottle!

    What a joke!

Stay away from INTELLUX, they do not deliver what they say they will.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

    Helped me focus

    • Kentucky,
    • Oct 3, 2016

I took the product for 2 months and never really thought about the results. I just kept taking it with my other medications.

One day I decided to stop taking it because I was about out and did not want to purchase more. After about 4 or 5 days, I started to not get things done. Lists of to do items at work were getting longer and I found myself daydreaming instead of working.

4 days ago, I started taking the pills again and I have been alert and focused ever since. I can tell a complete difference and I love the feeling of actually getting things done on time.

    Intellux and cognitive improvement

As a doctor, I used Intellux for a few weeks so that I could ascertain if this was a product I would recommend to my patients who complain of cognitive impairment.

After personally taking the product for several weeks, I DID NOT notice ANY improvement in cognitive functioning (attention, memory, cognitive efficiency, etc). There is likely a placebo effect with some patients who take it, but there is no evidence to support the manufacturer's claim that this product enhances cognition based on my review.

I would not recommend this product. I called customer service to see if I could return the unused bottles, but they said it had been over 30 days since I purchased the product, and they would not approve the return. When I initially spoke with customer service when placing the order, I was told that I could return the product "at any time" if dissatisfied. This remark has proven to be untrue.

    Waste of my money.

    • Tulsa, Oklahoma,
    • Feb 23, 2016

I ordered one bottle, and they also sent me three bottles of something else that I didn't order. I got a return authorization, and sent the unordered product back. They promised to credit my card, but three months later, there is still no credit back in my account. I called them, and they agreed, once again, to credit my card. Now I'm waiting.

I found that the product didn't perform as touted, and I won't be reordering.

    Stay Away!

    • Dec 26, 2015

The ad I responded to had me buy three bottles for $29.99 each and get two more free. The next morning I see an invoice in my email for $150.

I called "Customer Support" and was offered all kinds of options like just pay 75% and keep the product. Next I was offered to pay 50% and keep the product. At this point I just wanted to get off the phone with them.

They told me they could not cancel the order even though it had not shipped yet, I had just placed it a few hours prior. After several minutes with a woman who was getting rude she finally said I would receive a refund in 3-5 business days. Somehow I doubt that is going to happen and I will need to get my bank involved.

    They're crooks

    • Los Angeles,
    • Dec 12, 2015

They are crooks. They offered to buy 2 bottles and get 3 free for $29 and then they charged me over $200 on my card. So I called them and tried to cancel it and I couldn't figure out how to. So called my card company about 4 hours later and they cancelled it for me. I still ended up receiving 10 bottles of the stuff but I got it completely free and I'm about to try it. But I would like to say do not order it unless you're just trying to be scammed, because they're terrible people and will overcharge you. And it sounds like the stuff doesn't work anyway.

    Do Not Purchase!

    • Saginaw, Mi,
    • Dec 7, 2015

I went online and ordered this product because it had a CNN logo. I do not believe CNN really endorsed this product. I ordered three bottles at $29.99 to get two free. That would be $89.97 for five. Bottles. I was charged on my receipt $229.98! I called the number on receipt to get a smart mouth lady who after quite the run around and trying to change the price where I would except it, I finally did get the charges reversed. I called the credit card company and the charges had been reversed. This is the only positive thing I would say about this company. Stay Clear!

    Cancel my order immediately

    • Maui, Hawaii,
    • Nov 5, 2015

I ordered Intellux about 20 minutes ago off the ad on Facebook. I now know I got scammed! They are trying to charge me almost double what I thought it was supposed to be. I have filed a fraud report with the credit card company already. I knew as soon as I got the message “Your order has been confirmed”, without a price or confirmation number that something was fishy. Once I searched everywhere, I finally found that the ingredients in this fake product will cause me serious health concerns.

They better cancel my order and refund me what they have charged me otherwise they will face charges for deceptive advertising. their website at www.tryintellux.com is also a not real.

      Brenda

I have also found that they do not confirm your pricing. You think you're purchasing one bottle at 29.99 and they are charging you for 5 bottles at $29.99 each, and do not provide a total price at the end of your check out so you are not aware that you are being charged over $140.00. Also, they mysteriously added two bottles of some of supplement without your knowledge and charge you another $40.00. Even if you're lucky enough to check your account and catch this, call them before they shipped the product, they will still ship the product and tell you return it with a $9.50 restocking fee. They will not tell you they are charging you $9.50 restocking fee for each of the five bottles and the other two bottles you did not order.

The best thing to do is to contact your bank about the charges and have them disputed, and they will reissue you a new card. When you get the product send them back with a return receipt.

Oh, and I forgot to mention they will offer your several discounts to keep the product before saying let them send it out and then you return it.

I think that considering the check out process they have that does not allow you to see how much they are charging you, and the fact that they will send you a product even after you have requested them not to, plus charge you $9.50 per bottle for restocking fee without informing you, says a lot about the company.

I chose to contact my bank, dispute the charges and return the product via certified mail. A little too sketching for me.

As I have noticed now from other reviews, all I can say is "ditto".

As advice to the other person who could not get them to respond appropriately, cancel through your Credit Card Company immediately! Best of luck.
