About Lipsation

If you’re going for that celebrity chic or supermodel sexy look, Lipsation is a new lip enhancer that’s claimed to instantly make your lips appear fuller, more kissable, alluring, and irresistible, without Botox or surgery. In fact, Lipsation is even claimed to be an “advanced lip makeover.”

In order to provide you with “super pouty” smackers, Lipsation’s unique formula is claimed to feature hyaluronic acid that:

  1. Stimulates collagen production.
  2. Holds moisture to reduce the appearance of lines, while reducing the breakdown of existing collagen.

After applying Lipsation, the manufacturer claims you’ll experience a tingling sensation as the lip-plumping ingredients take effect, which will provide you with all-day sexiness. With continued use, you should experience full benefits after 30 days.

But is this realistically what you can expect with Lipsation, and will it provide a decent amount of bang for your buck? Consider the following:

How Do Lip Plumpers Like Lipsation Work?

At their most basic, lip plumpers increase fullness by working as vasodilators, which is just a fancy word for opening or widening blood vessels. And because the size of your lip’s blood vessels is bigger, more blood is allowed to enter your lip area, which ultimately creates the telltale plumping.

However, unlike lip plumping procedures from a cosmetic surgeon, the effects caused by lip plumpers will only last for a short period of time. While this can vary depending on the ingredients used and their strength, at best, you’ll only achieve plumping that lasts for 24 hours (or less).

Are Lipsation’s Ingredients Effective For Lip Plumping?

There are a number of ingredients that can increase blood flow and plump lips, such as cinnamon, menthol, and hot pepper, which actually work by irritating the skin and causing inflammation. This is typically what’s going on when you feel that unique tingling sensation after applying most lip plumpers.

Other common lip plumper ingredients include hyaluronic acid (as in Lipsation), or even l-arginine nitric oxide synthase technology found in prescription medications such as Viagra.

Unfortunately, other than hyaluronic acid, we’re not informed about any of the ingredients contained in Lipsation. But is this effective for giving your super pouty, super sexy lips?

Hyaluronic acid is known as a hydrophilic substance, which just means that it has a unique ability to draw water and hold it place. In the instance of Lipsation, this means that the excess hydration temporarily plumps your lips, until your body absorbs the hyaluronic acid and your lips return to their normal size. In other words, any results you achieve will be temporary.

So in theory, this means that the hyaluronic acid contained in Lipsation could feasibly plump your lips, although we’re not informed how much of this ingredient is contained in Lipsation, or whether it’s enough to provide any benefits.

Does Lipsation Cause Any Side Effects?

Although there aren’t any side effects listed on the Lipsation website, just like with any other makeup or skincare product, you may or may not experience any side effects from the lip plumper depending on your skin type, sensitivity levels, and much more. Because of this, if you have any concerns relating to lip plumping side effects, you’ll want to speak with your physician prior to placing your order.

All things being equal though, according to TheDermReview, “The biggest risk of suffering side effects comes with repeated application over a period of twelve to 24 hours. If the product is applied repeatedly to achieve maximum plumpness, the lips may become quite irritated. When this happens, the after-effects of a cosmetic lip plumper can be damaging.” In addition, “People who are prone to allergies may have a strong reaction to the ingredients in a lip plumper, which may cause pain, stinging, and even a rash around the mouth.”

The Lipsation Celebrity Connection

You probably noticed that the Lipsation website indicates that the product is used by celebrities, and even that the lip plumper is a sort of “celebrity secret.”

However, there were no third-party websites that verified a legitimate connection between Lipsation and celebrities or Hollywood personalities. In short, this might just be marketing hype that has no basis in reality.

In addition, there is a graphic on the Lipsation website indicating that the product has been featured on popular networks. Again, there is no third-party confirmation of this online.

Plump Your Lips Elsewhere

Finally, remember that there are hundreds of lip plumping products out there for you to try, many of which are priced much lower than Lipsation. In fact, you can see for yourself just how many of these products are available by typing “lip plumpers” into your favorite search engine.

In fact, there are numerous online recipes for DIY lip plumpers that you can make in the comfort of your own home for a minimal amount of money.

Are Women Experiencing Fuller, Sexier Lips with Lipsation?

Lipsation is only promoted through a network of independent affiliates who earn commissions from each sale of the product they refer, and who will often post fake online review sites that just have one objective: mislead you.

However, when searching for online Lipsation customer reviews, we learned through Trademarkia that the product is manufactured by Vitaquest International, based out of Caldwell, NJ. Here, 2 customers provided their feedback about Lipsation, and only complained about the company’s free trial (more about this next).

Lipsation Pricing & Refund Policy

Lipsation is available through 4 different purchasing options:

  • 14-Day Trial: $8 S&H*
  • 1-Month Supply: $69
  • 3-Month Supply: $109
  • 5-Month Supply: $165

*If you choose the trial option, you’ll be sent a full 60-day supply of Lipsation. And after your trial has expired, you’ll be billed $89 per vial ($178 total). Unlike many of the other trial-based anti-aging products we’ve reviewed here at HighYa, it doesn’t appear that you’ll be enrolled in any kind of autoship program, regardless on the Lipsation option you choose.

Important note: As we’ve mentioned many times in the past, it’s our opinion that products sold only through free trials should generally be avoided, as it’s almost certain that you’ll be charged full price, regardless of what actions you take in the interim.

Outside of the trial, Lipsation comes with a 30-day refund policy, although this only applies to damaged or defective products. And according to Lipsation’s Terms & Conditions, it can take them up to 60 days to process your refund after they’ve received the product.

Interestingly, you’ll just have to send you Lipsation back to the manufacturer and wait for a refund, as there is no contact method for the company, whether by phone, email, or online form.

Can Lipsation Give Your Fuller, Sexier Lips?

Chopping to the Point: Look, you want fuller lips. Heck, when it comes down to it, all of us probably do too.

But considering the fact that we’re not informed which ingredients the lip plumper contains, the company’s less-than-stellar marketing techniques, as well as the product’s very high price, it’s our opinion that Lipsation’s cost is far out of line with any benefits you can expect to achieve from using it.

A total scam. They took £99 out of my account. There is no way of contacting them, I thought I was getting a sample because I answered a survey. I am furious and it is just before Christmas as well.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

    This company is a scam.

    • Liverpool, England,
    • Aug 12, 2015

This company is a scam because it states the lip gloss is £4 GBP for a 14 day free trial. What it doesn't state is that after you enter your bank details, they will take £144 GBP without permission from your bank account and they do not give any details on how to contact the company. I am furious.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

    Scam.

    • Aug 9, 2015

I was furious when I applied to get a £4 lip gloss only to find £144 come out. The bank can not do anything, but have told me they have stopped further charges. The product has come with no receipt/return form. I just want to send it back and get a refund. Do not buy.

    Do not order

    • England,
    • Aug 8, 2015

I got conned out of £100. They said I could have a 'free' trial and only pay postage which was £4, which I thought was reasonable. Now I've noticed that money have come out of my bank a month later, without my consent. I needed to ring my bank but there is nothing they can do since it's in the small print. I now have to make sure no more transactions are made from my account. And to top it off the Lipsation doesn't even work.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Very unhappy customer to say the least

    • Ireland ,
    • Jun 8, 2015

Firstly placed the order for the trial for €4.00 using my debit card. Was actually charged €8.00 . Then received emails from them stating I didn't complete my order for Rejuva Lash when I only placed order with Lipsation. Weeks went by, no order received. Emailed the customer service rep, nothing back so I left it as. I said it's only €8.00. Month later, Friday April the 3rd €99.00 taken from my account without my permission and the bank is linking it back to Lipsation, Pouty Lips name appears on the statement. This is a scam and I would seriously advise people against ordering.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

They did that to me as well. I tried to buy the Revitalash and it was $33, when I signed up but they took $182 off me but the fraud department people found out before as they rang me up. Don't do this online!

Vitaquest International is not connected with Lipsation in any way. We had applied for a trademark years ago for a proposed dietary supplement, but we abandoned the trademark application in 2003. We have no knowledge of the currently marketed product or its marketers.

I filled out a survey that offered me 50 dollars and free ten days of product. Asked me for my credit card number. I check my account and there were two charges for $150.66. The bank said the money was gone. These people are real criminals.
