About Master Prostate Formula
Master Prostate Formula is an all-natural men’s nutritional supplement that’s claimed to contain all the nutrients necessary to help promote healthy prostate function, urinary function, and vitality, while also helping you to finally get a good night’s sleep.
Master Prostate is claimed to accomplish this using a “scientifically researched combination of 12 powerful ingredients,” including:
- Vitamin E 6IU
- Vitamin B6 30mg
- Zinc 30mg
- Selenium 108mcg
- Beta Sitosterol 500mg
- Saw Palmetto Extract 680mg
- Free Fatty Acids 288mg
- Pygeum Africanum Extract 120mg
- Proprietary Blend 1,490mg: L-Alanine, L-Glycine, L-Glutamic Acid, Stinging Nettle, Asian Ginseng, Pygeum Africanum Powder, Pumpkin Seed Powder, PABA, Lycopene Complex, Bioperine Black Pepper Fruit Extract.
To begin using Master Prostate Formula, the manufacturer recommends taking 2 tablets in the morning and another 2 in the evening, and claims that you should experience results within 2 to 4 weeks. According to the Master Prostate website, the supplement causes no known side effects.
Most men will experience issues with their prostate at some point in their lives, and it appears to be your turn. But can Master Prostate help relieve some of the symptoms, or will you just be enlarging the company’s bank account with no benefits to show for it? Consider the following:
Can Master Prostate’s Ingredients Improve Your Prostate Health?
When it comes down to it, there is insufficient clinical evidence showing that vitamin E, vitamin B6, zinc, selenium, l-alanine, l-glycine, glutamic acid, stinging nettle, Asian ginseng, PABA, or lycopene can provide any kind of prostate-related benefits. Granted, this doesn’t mean you won’t experience some benefits from using these ingredients; just none related to prostate health or BPH, and almost certainly not as pronounced as the manufacturer might make it seem.
On the other hand, beta sitosterol has been shown to be helpful for improving urination in men with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), but has not been shown to shrink the prostate.
Saw palmetto is listed as “possibly ineffective” for relieving symptoms of an enlarged prostate, with WebMD noting that “There is conflicting and contradictory research about the benefits of saw palmetto for prostate symptoms. Some research has shown that saw palmetto might modestly improve symptoms such as going to the bathroom at night in some men with BPH. However, higher quality and more reliable research seems to indicate that saw palmetto has little or no benefit for reducing these symptoms. Any benefit is modest at best.”
Finally, Bioperine is a black pepper extract that is claimed to help with the absorption of Master Prostate Formula’s other ingredients, but does not provide any benefits in and of itself.
Are There Other Methods of Improving Your Prostate Health?
According to the Master Prostate website, there are many other actions you can take to improve your prostate health, including “limiting your exposure to toxins, reducing stress, and maintaining a healthy, low-fat diet.” Specifically, Healthline recommends avoiding red meat and processed meats, dairy and calcium, alcohol, and saturated fats.
Obviously, if you’re experiencing ongoing problems with your prostate, the first person you should speak with is your physician.
What Are Men Saying About Master Prostate Formula?
There weren’t any Master Prostate Formula online customer reviews available at the time of our research, although we did run across numerous affiliate websites intended to look like real customer reviews, but which are actually fake. In short, these are intended to make you think you’re reading a legitimate review, when they’re actually just more marketing hype.
Master Prostate is manufactured by Great American Products, Inc. based out of Destin, FL, who holds an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau, with just 9 closed complaints over the past 3 years (as of 2/22/15). Most of these appeared to reference difficulty cancelling autoship programs (more about this next).
Master Prostate Formula Pricing & Refund Policy
Master Prostate is available in 3 purchasing options:
- 1-Month Trial: $6.95**
- Buy 2, Get 1 Free: $79.90 plus $9.95 S&H
- Buy 3, Get 2 Free: $119.85 plus free shipping
**If you choose the trial option, you’ll receive a full one-month supply of Master Prostate Formula. Then, after your trial has expired, you’ll be billed $39.95 for the full price of the product and enrolled in the company’s autoship program. This means you’ll continue receiving a fresh bottle of Master Prostate once every 30 days, and your credit card will be charged $39.95 plus $6.96 S&H each time.
Important note: Based on our professional experience, free trials all but ensure you’ll pay full price, regardless of what you do in the interim, and autoship programs are more about billing your credit card as many times as possible than they are about providing you with any kind of convenience. Because of this, we generally recommend avoiding products sold through these methods.
Regardless of which option you choose, your order is claimed to include the e-book Anti-Aging & You, which includes a chapter about prostate health.
Master Prostate Formula comes with a 30-day refund policy, less S&H charges, even if the bottle is empty.
In order to request a refund or to cancel your autoship enrollment, you’ll need to contact customer service at 800-336-4622 for an RMA (note: an additional phone number 800-336-4622 is listed on the Contact page).
Also, keep in mind that you can also purchase a single bottle of Master Prostate through Amazon.com, apparently without autoship enrollment.
Will Master Prostate Help Relieve Your BPH Symptoms?
Chopping to the point: Unlike many of the other nutritional supplements and prostate health supplements we’ve reviewed here at HighYa, Master Prostate Formula appears to contain several ingredients that are “likely effective” to help with symptoms of an enlarged prostate. However, whether or not these benefits are substantive will depend on your physiology, the size of your prostate, your specific diagnosis, and many other factors.
Because of this, before you go “all in” with Master Prostate Formula and order multiple bottles or sign up for their free trial (which we typically don’t recommend), you might want to purchase a single bottle through a third-party retailer to give it a try.
