About MiraVie Skincare

MiraVie Skincare makes a whole lot of claims, so your interest is piqued. But are these claims legitimate, or are they too good to be true?

Here at HighYa, we’ll give you the real story behind MiraVie Skincare—and dozens of products just like it.

MiraVie Skincare: Where’s the Evidence?

MiraVie Skincare, an online-only anti-aging formula, claims to help repair free radical damage, smooth skin, maintain suppleness and elasticity, and eliminate accumulated debris, for brighter, healthier looking skin. It’s even claimed to reverse the aging process at the cellular level!

MiraVie Skincare works using a blend of patented ingredients, including Biosphere, QuSome delivery, Biofil spheres, a face-firming peptide, and essential vitamins and antioxidants. When used daily, these are claimed to cause an 84% decrease in fine lines and wrinkles, a 95% increase in collagen production, and a 73% decrease in the appearance of dark circles.

With these outstanding clinical results as evidence, it’s a wonder you’ve never heard of MiraVie Skincare! As it turns out, this might be for the best. Let’s find out why.

Is MiraVie Skincare “Clinically Proven Skincare Technology?”

The short answer? Probably not.

If you were the manufacturer and your product had been clinically shown to provide these amazing results, wouldn’t you want to supply proof? After all, this would give your product a ton of legitimacy and help you sell more of it.

So, why doesn’t MiraVie Skincare’s manufacturer provide this proof? In our opinion, it’s because these claims are either grossly exaggerated or completely made up.

How do we know? The HighYa team has a lot of experience reviewing essentially identical products to MiraVie Skincare. And needless to say, we’re not impressed by their tactics.

Learning To Identify Patterns in Anti-Aging Products

Online-only anti-aging products are a dime a dozen these days, and most use the same underhanded tactics to take your money. This includes:

  • Free trials that are difficult to cancel,
  • High prices that are far out of line with any benefits you can expect to achieve,
  • Monthly autoship programs that keep you buying more, and
  • Intentionally bad customer service.

We’ll talk details below, but in the mean time, we’d recommend reading Exposing the Widespread Scam of Anti-Aging Products & Free Trials and The Big Skin Cream Con to get you up to speed.

Do these scammy anti-aging products stop there? Nope. Many even use the exact same website template; they just change the picture of the product!

We’ve found the exact same MiraVie Skincare site template used for dozens of other anti-aging products, including Dermaliere, Dermallure, Jivam Skincare, Vitalie Skin Care, and dozens more. We even think these products are made by the same 1 or 2 companies, who just change names when customers catch on to the scam.

Speaking of which, what’s the customer feedback for these types of products?

What Are Customers Saying about Similar Products?

Customers seem to be saying a lot about these products, although none of it is good.

Mostly, consumers complain of difficulty cancelling free trials and autoship enrollments, customer service that seems uninterested in helping solve your problem, and products that don’t work (there are even a few complaints of severe allergic reactions).

Is there an occasional positive review? Sure, but it’s important to learn how to differentiate between fake ones and real ones.

The lowdown? You can probably expect to experience much of the same with MiraVie Skincare.

We’ve talked a lot about free trials and autoship programs up to this point. Now, let’s discuss their details.

A Common Anti-Aging Free Trial Scam

Like all of the products we’ve discussed so far, MiraVie Skincare is only available through a free trial. Just pay $4.95 to cover the cost of S&H and you’ll receive a full 30-day supply.

What you probably missed in the fine print (or in the Terms & Conditions) is that after your trial expires, you’ll be charged $89.90!

Then, you’ll be enrolled in an autoship program that will keep sending you a new bottle of MiraVie Skincare once per month, and will charge your card $89.90 each time!

Sure, MiraVie Skincare’s manufacturer claims to offer a 30-day refund policy, less S&H charges, but the reality is that you’ll likely experience poor customer service if you request one. You’ll also probably receive pushback if you try to cancel you autoship enrollment.

In any case, MiraVie’s customer service can be reached at 888-537-5319.

Arbitration Isn’t in Your Favor

Pro tip: All orders through the MiraVie Skincare website are subject to an arbitration agreement. Without getting too technical, this basically means your legal rights are severely limited. And any rights you do retain are strongly in favor of the company.

Want to become part of a trial by jury or class action lawsuit? You’ll completely waive these rights with MiraVie’s arbitration agreement.

The Bottom Line about MiraVie Skincare

When it comes to online-only anti-aging products like MiraVie Skincare, we don’t pull any punches. Why? Because we’re focused on helping you avoid scams and keep more of your money.

The verdict? Considering the fact that MiraVie Skincare is basically identical to dozens of other anti-aging products—right down to the claims and website design—as well as the fact that it’s only offered through a free trial and autoship program, we’d recommend avoiding it altogether.

Total B.S. You will be sorry!

    • Geneva, IL,
    • May 11, 2016

If they had a ZERO rating, I give them that! This product is total BS. No different then putting CISCO on your face. Besides, they say it's a free trial, but give you 14 days from the time you order, not from when you actually receive it. When you agree to their Terms & Conditions it allows them to continue to send this JUNK @ $89.95 every month. Along with the same charge for your FREE TRIAL, if you DO NOT CANCEL within the first 14 days which do NOT even give you a chance to see if this CRAP works or not, you will be charged the full price. Save yourself the aggravation and don't do it.

I got my credit card company involved and they are making a claim to get my money returned, but they said with the way this company words their terms & conditions, it's hard to win. So, out of the $190.00 that was charged to my Credit card, they refunded only $47.00 and it was a struggle to even get that. They also have a "F" rating at the BBB.

    Total Scam

    • Las Vegas, NV,
    • Apr 25, 2016

I ordered the product in good faith, and found it to be no better than any much lower priced drugstore product. When I received an "autoship" replacement of the skincare and eye serum on 3/20, I called the 1-888 phone number to inform them that I found the product inferior, to have them unsubscribe me, that I would be returning the shipment I just received, and I would like a refund of the $90+ I was charged (SO not worth $90). I was told "too bad, don't bother to send them back because we do not do refunds". It was really rude and arrogant, but I was quickly sent the notice of cancellation.

Imagine my surprise when another package arrived on 4/20. I called and was told I only called to cancel the skin care product, not the eye serum product, which has a SEPARATE 1-888 number that I needed to call to cancel that product! Of course I was never informed of that in my 3/20 phone call to them. Once again I was told, and I quote, "too bad, don't bother to send it back because we do not do refunds". Total scam.

    Total Scam - Horrible People

The company offers a trial program at a low cost and in the fine print of the terms and conditions and claims the right to continual shipments at highly elevated prices (read nearly $100 per shipment). They state that the customer must go in and cancel the "trial" program to end the shipments. The problem is that many customers do not realize the scam until several hundred dollars have been billed to them and the company will not consider a refund. This is illegal in many stats and is ripe for a class action lawsuit.

    Worst customer service ever.

When I ordered the MiraVie eye & face serum, vitamin C face cream was added to my order. I noticed this addition in the order confirmation that I was sent just minutes after ordering the sample MiraVie serum. I immediately called the customer service number given and expressed my concern that I did not order the vitamin C face cream but it was on my order confirmation and I was charged for it. The customer service rep informed me that she could not remove this charge and that the products work together. Furious and frustrated I hung up.

After using the product, I see no difference in my skin. That is why I only wanted the sample size serums to try.

Two weeks later I noticed a 85 & 89 dollar charges to my bank account. I called customer service immediately. Informed them that I was unhappy with the products and to stop the charges. I was told that the charges could not be removed and basically sorry about your luck.

This company seems to have free reign over your bank account. They can and will charge you and never refund you when you are not happy with their products. I did receive a cancelation email but no refund, go figure. SCAM!

    Beware Of Scam

    • Baltimore, MD,
    • Mar 17, 2016

I ordered this cream as a trial. I did not want the product and called to cancel, only to find out that they count the day you order as part of the 14 day trial period, which is totally ridiculous. I was charged $89.95 for a product that DID NOT WORK. They would not consider reimbursing me the charge or even a part thereof. Please do not fall for this scam and for a product that doesn't work. I used the product and NOTHING. Buyer beware.

    Unhappy

When I received the first trial of the product, they charged my $85 per item. It was suppose to be free. Anyway, I did not like it and it did not work. I needed more to see if it works. I would order more but now I won't since they charged me a lot of money. I hope my account gets canceled and I get refunded. This has caused me an overcharge of $35 at my bank last month.

    Horrible

I ordered a sample and unbeknownst to me they charged me $90 14 days later for bottle, and I haven't even used the other one yet. And when I called to get my money back they insisted to tell me it was my fault for not reading the fine print. I said I wanted my money back, I never wanted their additional product, only what I bought. When I got pissed they gave me only a 35% rebate. I explained loudly I would never recommend crap from this company. These people are a scam.

    Bad customer service

Went online to order this skin product. They added more products to my order. I called in to cancel. Received two confirmation emails about canceling. They still charged my account. I called in and they gave me the run around. End result - no money back and they said if I returned the products they would charge my account again and a restocking fee of 10.00. This is bad customer service - I immediately canceled my order but they sent it out anyway, charging my card for products I did not order.

    Scammed by MiraVie

I ordered a 14 day free trial on February 5, and on February 18, I canceled the order. Then on February 19, I noticed an $89.95 and a $84.95 charge pending at my bank. I contacted the company, and they said I didn't cancel until the 19th. Their customer service was rude, and did not try to help me at all. I wouldn't advise anyone to deal with these people, and I didn't notice any difference.

    Scam

So wish I had read reviews off other sites first. Just spent over one and half hours on phone with MiraVie company who has an alias Eyeintensify and Skin Solace. They're two separate companies so they say and so is their billing. I also never saw the auto-plan which they say is there and refused refund to credit card. They also said that I wouldn't win any disputes either and also did the collection threat on me! Luckily I used a Chase Credit Card and they had blocked the eye company but approved the skin company. They're refunding my account and blocking these companies from any other charges. What a mess we women make. Good Luck!

Buyer BEWARE of false advertising, and co-called small print terms

I would like to join the voices that used this product, and say that this company is HORRIBLE. I wish I would have done a search on them, before ordering what I thought was a free trial, then being automatically enrolled for multiple products, billed full price for the free trial and billed full price for another shipment. No invoices were included in the shipments. On top of that, I broke out under my eyes, and had red, burning and hardening skin after three days of use, and it took two weeks to heal. When I called about the second shipment, I was told I could receive a 75% refund for it, but will still be charged full price for the supposed FREE trial.

Do not do business with this company. They said they could not take returns, even of the unopened and unused shipment. I had to call two separate numbers regarding the cream and the serum. I did not receive any information (neither via email, nor with the shipments) about the Terms and Conditions, telling me that I would be charged full price for the free trial, and automatically enrolled in a monthly shipment program. They are hugely overpriced, Terms and Conditions are not evident, and I had a horrible experience with (and a bad reaction to) this product.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend
