About NervaCORE

NervaCORE is a premium nootropic supplement that helps your brain process information more efficiently, leading to increased intellectual power, improved mental performance, boosted energy, and reduced mental fatigue. You’ll also experience increased motivation, reduced stress, and improved sociability.

NervaCORE does all of this by increasing neurotransmitters levels in your body using naturally occurring vitamins, amino acids, antioxidants, and other nutrients. After taking just 1-2 capsules, you’ll be able to get the brainpower you need, which will last anywhere from 2 to 6 hours.

Whether you’re looking to stave off declining memory as you age or want to get a leg up at work; and whether you’re a student, athlete, or a regular Joe, you want to know if NervaCORE will deliver on its promises.

To get you started in the right direction, we’ll begin by looking at the role of neurotransmitters in your body.

What Are Neurotransmitters? How Do They Work?

As their name suggests, neurotransmitters are chemicals that send messages (i.e. transmit information) between brain cells, known as neurons.

Some of the most common neurotransmitters include serotonin (regulates mood, appetite, and sleep), dopamine (movement and information flow), glutamate (brain development), and more.

When we’re young, our body produces enough neurotransmitters for optimal function, which means (among many other things) that our brain is strong and our memory is powerful. As we get older, however, our body begins producing less of these key neurotransmitters, which can lead to a condition known as mild cognitive decline (MCI).

While MCI often isn’t a big medical concern, it can certainly be frustrating if it causes you to forget where you placed your keys (for the 10th time today!). But in some instances, MCI can be a precursor to much more severe conditions, like Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.

Given what we’ve learned so far, can NervaCORE’s ingredients boost neurotransmitter levels in your body and improve your brainpower? Let’s take a peek behind the curtain …

How Effective Are NervaCORE’s Ingredients?

Based on its product label, NervaCORE contains the following ingredients:

Niacin may be effective for reducing the risk of acquiring Alzheimer’s disease. But this only applies to niacin obtained through food sources, not through supplementation with products like NervaCORE.

The main thing that l-tyrosine seems to be effective for is improving alertness following a lack of sleep. It may also be effective for improving memory and mental performance, but existing research was only performed under stressful conditions (such as military training).

Phosphatidylserine is listed as “possibly effective” for treating symptoms of both age-related mental decline and Alzheimer’s disease. However, existing research has only been performed on phosphatidylserine derived from cow brains, not from soy or cabbage (which is often the version found in brain supplements, since it’s much less expensive to manufacture).

Acetyl-l-carnitine is also listed as “possibly effective” for treating Alzheimer’s disease, as well as for improving memory in elderly people and those who use alcohol excessively.

Finally, huperzine a could be effective for improving memory in Alzheimer’s patients, as well as for improving memory in older children.

Outside of these, however, there isn’t enough clinical evidence showing that any of NervaCORE’s other ingredients will provide any brain-boosting benefits. And even for those that may offer some benefits, there might not be enough in the supplement to provide any results.

We’ll come back around to this in the next section when we talk about possible NervaCORE side effects.

Will You Experience Any Side Effects from NervaCORE?

Overall, you probably won’t experience any side effects using NervaCORE. And if you do, it likely won’t be anything worse than mild digestive upset.

Keep in mind though that niacin can cause flushing, and phosphatidylserine can lead to insomnia, especially in doses greater than 300mg (remember, we’re not told exactly how much is contained in NervaCORE).

Finally, acetyl-l-carnitine can cause a "fishy" odor of the urine, breath, and sweat.

Important note: According to WebMD, you should take 1,500-2,000mg of acetyl-l-carnitine per day in order to treat age-related memory loss. This is more than NervaCORE’s entire proprietary blend, so even though the ingredient might be effective in some instances, it doesn’t appear that there’s enough in the supplement to provide this.

How Much Does NervaCORE Cost?

One bottle (90 capsules) of NervaCORE is priced at $54.95, but you can save 15% by signing up for the company’s autoship program at checkout. This means you’ll receive a fresh bottle of NervaCORE once per month, and will be charged $46.71 each time.

NervaCORE’s manufacturer offers a 60-day, 110% money back guarantee on purchases—including S&H charges. Plus, you’ll even get to keep the bottle!

In order to request a refund or alter your autoship enrollment, you’ll need to contact customer service at 587-873-4858.

Before wrapping things up, let’s talk about NervaCORE’s manufacturer.

Who Makes NervaCORE? Are They Reputable?

NervaCORE is manufactured by Catalytic Edge Lifestyle, Inc. (CEL Nutrition) based out of Edmonton, AB, Canada. They appear to be a relatively new company (URL registered June 2015) and weren’t listed with the Better Business Bureau at the time of our research.

And there wasn’t much more feedback about NervaCORE, either. In fact, we only found one online review for the supplement on Amazon, where it had a 5-star rating. However, this was the only review posted under the account, which can be one of 7 signals of a fake review.

Note: We’re not stating this is necessarily the case; only that it’s definitely worth keeping in mind.

The good news is that we’ve reviewed dozens of the most popular brain supplements (many of which feature the same ingredients found in NervaCORE), including Neuroflexyn, Geniux, Evo Brain Pill, and many more.

Overall, products like these have an average rating of 2 stars here on HighYa, with common complaints centered around failure to work as advertised, high price, and poor customer service (usually related to problems cancelling automatic shipments or obtaining refunds).

Is this what you can expect with NervaCORE? Let’s wrap everything up and come to a conclusion.

Should You Give NervaCORE a Try?

The HighYa team is intimately familiar with nootropic supplements like NervaCORE, so we think we have a good grip on the situation. As mentioned above, we’ve reviewed dozens of the most popular options, and even wrote an in-depth Memory Supplements Buyer’s Guide.

And as a whole, based on the limited effectiveness of their ingredients (and that most are contained in an unknown proprietary blend), as well as their high prices, we often recommend speaking with your doctor about any memory problems you may be experiencing instead of placing an order. Ultimately, we think this will provide much more bang-for-your-buck.

Compared to these other options though, NervaCORE really breaks the mold with their 110% money back guarantee, including free S&H and that you get to keep the bottle. This is something that’s virtually unheard of within the nutritional supplements industry.

Does this mean that NervaCORE will work better than all the other nootropics we’ve reviewed? Not necessarily. But if you decide to give it a try and are dissatisfied, the company seems to stand behind their product.
