About Neuro3x

Neuro3x claims to be an all-natural supplement that can improve your memory and recall, increase your mental clarity, and improve your brain health. Using its powerful focus factors, Neuro3x also claims to be a brain boosting formula that clears your mind for intense focus, naturally enhances neurotransmitters in your brain, and helps you store newly learned information more efficiently.

How Does Neuro3x Claim to Work?

How would you like to increase focus and concentration by 200%? Well, according to Neuro3x, this nootropic nutritional supplement claims to do just that by protecting neurons, improving signal transmission, and supporting brain function by increasing the synthesis and secretion of acetylcholine within your body.

In order to accomplish this, Neuro3x claims to include a scientifically proven ingredients profile that provides an abundance of biological neurotransmitter precursors. In other words, Neuro3x’s ingredients are claimed to stimulate the growth of new brain cells and to help form new neural connections, which is a process known as neurogenesis.

These ingredients include (note: there is no label or ingredients list provided on the Neuro3x website, so these are taken from a third-party site):

  • St. Johns Wort
  • Glutamine
  • Phosphatidylserine complex
  • Bacopa Monnier
  • Acetyl L-Carnitine
  • DMAE Bitartrate
  • Gingko Biloba
  • Vinpocetine

According to the Neuro3x website, the supplement contains only the finest natural ingredients that are tested for potency and purity, and are claimed to be water soluble so that they enter the brain soon after being ingested.

In order to begin using Neuro3x, the manufacturer claims that you should take 1 capsule approximately 30 minutes prior to breakfast, with 8oz of water. However, they recommended not exceeding 2 capsules per day.

What Are Other Consumers Saying About Neuro3x?

Almost all online feedback for Neuro3x is related to affiliate reviews, so finding legitimate customer reviews took some digging around.

However, SupplementCritique did a fairly in-depth writeup about Neuro3x, where they claimed that the company previously advertised the supplement has the potential to increase your IQ by 77%, and that they used fake news articles and fake celebrity endorsements from Will Smith and Tony Robbins to promote it. In fact, it’s claimed that the manufacturer even faked a tweet, which was supposedly sent from the makers of the movie Limitless, thanking Neuro3x for the inspiration for the movie. However, absolutely none of it is true.

In addition, this same article claims that Neuro3x is the same company behind Brain Storm Elite, which they came right out and called a scam.

With this said, the only legitimate online reviews for Neuro3x came from the comments attached to the above article, and while some users claimed to have experienced a small boost in concentration with continued use, the boost was not as intense, and occurred over a much longer period of time, than the company claims on their website.

More often than not though, it appears that most customers experienced no results from taking Neuro3x, and several mentioned they had difficulty during the ordering or refund processes.

Can Neuro3x Improve Brain Function & Health?

We’ve written a whole lot about brain health supplements in the past, and for the most part, from both a clinical perspective as well as through customer reviews, it appears they often don’t work as advertised. But is this necessarily the case with Neuro3x? Consider the following:

What Are Neurotransmitter Precursors?

Without going too in depth, neurotransmitter precursors reference the chemical building blocks of neurotransmitters, but do not reference neurotransmitters themselves. Think of it this way: If you have all the materials you need to build a house laying around in your yard (e.g. wood, brick, wiring and pipes, roofing shingles, etc.), these raw materials have the potential of becoming a house, but are not a house in their current form.

This is important, because while Neuro3x (or any other nootropic) may provide the basic building blocks for neurotransmitters, until your body builds them, they’re just chemicals floating around within your body. And according to Wikipedia, “While intake of neurotransmitter precursors does increase neurotransmitter synthesis, evidence is mixed as to whether neurotransmitter release and postsynaptic receptor firing is increased. Even with increased neurotransmitter release, it is unclear whether this will result in a long-term increase in neurotransmitter signal strength, since the nervous system can adapt to changes such as increased neurotransmitter synthesis and may therefore maintain constant firing.”

In other words, even if these chemicals are present, and even if they can help increase production of neurotransmitters, it doesn’t necessarily mean that it will provide you with any benefits.

Do Neuro3x’s Ingredients Work?

With this said, while it’s disconcerting that the Neuro3x website doesn’t provide a product label or a full list of ingredients, it’s also important to note that clinical evidence supporting the efficacy of these ingredients is limited.

As we detailed in our The Truth About Memory Supplements article, while some of the ingredients contained in brain supplements have been shown to provide some benefits (generally for age-related memory diseases such as Alzheimer’s), there is insufficient evidence showing they can reliably improve brain health or function in otherwise healthy individuals.

Bottom Line

Considering Neuro3x manufacturer’s less-than-stellar marketing tactics, the lack of clinical evidence showing their ingredients can improve brain function, and the supplement’s somewhat lackluster online customer reputation, we might recommend speaking with your physician about more tried and true methods of boosting your brainpower.
