About NuBrilliance Elite Pro

The NuBrilliance Elite Pro is a self-proclaimed salon quality “As Seen on TV” microdermabrasion system that uses professional diamond tips to rejuvenate, restore, and renew your skin in minutes, whether from home or while you’re traveling. And by safely and gently exfoliating dead and flaking cells on your skin’s surface, the NuBrilliance Elite Pro is claimed to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, age spots, dull or sun-damaged skin, crow’s feet, acne scars, sagging skin, and more.

When compared to the previous model, NuBrilliance claims that the Elite Pro is new and improved, with a smaller, cordless handheld design and enhanced performance, all at a fraction of the cost. But does this ultimately mean that it will provide you with better results? We’ll find out in just a moment, but first let’s take a look at how the microdermabrasion system claims to work.

How Does the NuBrilliance Elite Pro Claim to Work?

At its core, the NuBrilliance Elite Pro is claimed to feature a dual-action microdermabrasion system that uses a diamond tipped exfoliator to loosen dead skin cells, while the vacuum simultaneously removes them. This is claimed to be a process similar to what you’ll find with professional machines in doctors’ offices and clinics. However, the Elite Pro’s small size and cordless design are claimed to easily fit inside your purse or bag, giving you the ability to rejuvenate your skin wherever you go.

NuBrilliance claims that the Elite Pro’s diamond tips contain no crystals that can potentially harm your skin, and each should last for approximately 10-20 treatments. The company claims that the system is suitable for use on all types of skin, including the face, neck, hands, arms, and legs, although it should not be considered an option for dark under eye circles or wrinkles.

How Should You Use the Elite Pro?

In order to use the Elite Pro, NuBrilliance claims that you should apply the wand directly to the treatment area, and that the diamond tip will painlessly move across your skin to exfoliate the dead layer that rests on top. Then, these dead skin cells are vacuumed away into a filter located inside the tip, which will be disposed of after 1-2 uses. The vacuum action is also claimed to stimulate blood flow and to clean pores, which can increase collagen production and firm and tone your skin.

According to the Elite Pro website, each microdermabrasion session takes about 5-10 minutes, and you should use the system 1-2 times per week for ongoing maintenance. With regular use, the company claims that the Elite Pro can provide you with visible results within 6 weeks and that there are no side effects, other than slight redness in the treated areas.

What Do Other Consumers Have to Say About the Elite Pro?

The NuBrilliance Elite Pro is a relatively new product (URL registered August 2014), so there were no online customer reviews available at the time of our research. However, the previous model appears to have a mixed online reputation, with some customers being very satisfied with its overall performance. However, some of the most common complaints centered around failure to provide results, poor quality construction (e.g. quickly loses suction after just a few uses, tip attachment has a tendency to break, etc.), high price (replacement tips were/are expensive as well), skin reactions (e.g. excessive redness/splotchiness, welts, etc.), and that it’s fairly loud.

Also, consider that the Elite Pro is manufactured by Emson, a division of E. Mishan and Sons, who also makes numerous ASOTV products including XHOSE and Big Boss kitchen appliances. Among HighYa reviews for these products, most are 2 stars or less, with the most common complaints being failure to work/poor quality.

Can the NuBrilliance Elite Pro Really Rejuvenate Your Skin?

While we all might dream about looking like supermodels, at the very least we want to have clean, clear, and vibrant skin. So can the NuBrilliance Elite Pro really help you accomplish this from the comfort of your own home? Consider the following:

“As Seen on TV” Might Not Be What it Seems

First, the Elite Pro is an ASOTV product, which generally have lower customer satisfaction ratings due to complaints of low quality and not performing as well as advertised. As we mentioned above, many consumers had these same complaints regarding the previous NuBrilliance model, and we’ll soon find out whether or not this applies to the Elite Pro.

At-Home vs. Professional Use

Next, although the dual-action feature of the Elite Pro may also be found in machines located at your doctor’s office, this does not mean that it performs as well, or that it contains the same level of power or efficacy. In fact, professional microdermabrasion machines can cost many thousands of dollars, so it’s important to keep your expectations realistic when using the Elite Pro (for an in-depth look, be sure to read this MedicineNet article).

With this said, whether you use the Elite Pro or visit your doctor’s office, any effects you achieve will only be temporary, and will require regular upkeep in order to maintain.

Not Everyone Will Experience the Same Results

As with any other skincare product, not all skin types will react the same or equally as well to the NuBrilliance Elite Pro. Based on hundreds of customer reviews regarding the previous model, the system appears to be fairly good at reducing surface damage such as sun spots and at adding a healthy glow to your skin. However, if you have deeper skin imperfections such as acne scars or deep lines and wrinkles, it may be much less effective.

Also, because of the Elite Pro’s abrasiveness, it might not be ideal for individuals with thin and/or overly dry skin.

Bottom line: Should you Buy Elite Pro?

Although the NuBrilliance Elite Pro is less expensive and more portable than the previous model, there’s nothing to necessarily lead us to believe that it works any better. However, it almost certainly won’t work as well as a professional machine, although it does come with a 60-day money back guarantee if you’re willing to give it a try.
