About Research Verified Raspberry Ketones

The Raspberry Ketone nutritional supplement by Research Verified is claimed to help you shed fat by increasing adiponectin levels within your body, which is a naturally occurring hormone that breaks down fat. According to the company, they offer “the best products based on verified research,” and their Raspberry Ketone is no different.

As we mentioned in our original Research Verified review, the company is not listed with the Better Business Bureau, but claims to hold an A+ rating with QualityTrusted.org. However, based on our research, QualityTrusted and Research Verified have all the appearances of being the same company.

We also noted that one of the most common customer complaints relating to Research Verified was that is was very difficult to get in touch with a live company representative. However, since writing this review, a representative of the company reached out to let us know that their service department is now fully staffed and ready to take your calls when needed.

On top of this, more than 27 customer reviews have appeared for Research Verified Raspberry Ketone on Amazon.com since our original writing, resulting in a 5-star average rating. The most common compliment appears to revolve around experiencing positive results (we’ll talk more about this in the final section).

How Research Verified Raspberry Ketone Works

According to Research Verified, “most Raspberry Ketone supplements do not live up to their claims,” as they contain incorrect dosage and potency, and “do not come from the same source proven effective in clinical studies.” Because of this, the company claims to manufacture products that are the best available, and that are based on “actual science.”

Similar to Whole Body Research Raspberry Ketones, Research Verified Raspberry Ketones are claimed to be made from ketones extracted from real raspberries, and to be made without “fillers, binders or any other extra ingredients.” With this in mind, this supplement is claimed to work by increasing your body’s production of adiponectin, a hormone responsible for breaking down glucose and fatty acids.

According to the Research Verified website, their Raspberry Ketone supplement is manufactured in an FDA registered, cGMP certified facility, and is third party tested for purity. Also, according to the product’s label, the only ingredient is raspberry ketone, which is contained in 100% vegetarian capsules. In order to begin experiencing the claimed benefits, the company states that you’ll just need to take two capsules daily.

The Bottom Line

As we mentioned in our original Research Verified review, there are some things you should keep in mind, whether you’re purchasing Raspberry Ketone or one of the company’s other supplements:

First, although the company does a good job of linking to clinical studies, keep in mind that the 2004 Japanese study referenced on the Raspberry Ketone page was conducted on mice and rats, not on humans. In fact, as we outline in our article What’s the Deal with Raspberry Ketone?, “While we can’t say that raspberry ketone doesn’t work as a weight loss supplement, there isn’t enough clinical evidence available to support those who do.”

In addition, their product descriptions are often very vague, and include much of the same information found elsewhere on the site. In fact, on Research Verified’s Raspberry Ketone section, there is even repeat information within the same page. On top of this, even though Research Verified claims to “explain in detail the research we carried out and why each product we chose is the best in its industry,” other than marketing hype, none of this information is listed.

Furthermore, although Research Verified’s Raspberry Ketone supplement has a wholly positive customer reputation on Amazon.com, this flies in direct opposition to what the vast majority of consumers are saying about raspberry ketone supplements from other manufacturers. Based on our experience reviewing hundreds of nutritional supplements, it’s our opinion that this means one of two things:

  • Either Research Verified Raspberry Ketone defies science and actually provides real-world weight loss results, or
  • Some of these reviews are mistruths.

Finally, Research Verified is not rated with the Better Business Bureau, but claims to hold an A+ rating from QualityTrusted.org. However, by all appearances, Research Verified and Quality Trusted seem to be the same company.

So what does all of this mean? With the plethora of raspberry ketone manufacturers available on the market, you’ll likely be able to find one at a retailer near you, often for less money than Research Verified Raspberry Ketone. Regardless of where you purchase your raspberry ketone supplement or how much you pay for it though, remember that there is essentially zero clinical evidence showing that it can reliably provide you with any weight loss benefits, which is supported by thousands of online customer reviews claiming that raspberry ketone failed to work at all.
