Since originally airing in August 2009, ABC’s Shark Tank has become one of the most popular primetime shows on television, bringing in more than 7 million viewers per episode. Here, we get a front row seat as entrepreneurs pitch their business ideas to each of the Sharks in hopes of convincing one (or more) to invest, including Barbara Corcoran, Robert Herjavec, Daymond John, Kevin O’Leary, Mark Cuban, and Lori Greiner.
After all, having the “As Seen on Shark Tank” label placed next to your product can change the course of your business, and possibly your life.
However, what you see on camera is often only a small part of the story. This is because, even after a Shark has agreed to invest in a business, the product is often be subjected to testing, and the individual and business’s financials are also scrutinized. If everything checks out, only then will the deal be finalized.
Despite the hundreds of pitches made to the Sharks over the years, the reality is that, even if an entrepreneur earns the “As Seen on ABC’s Shark Tank” designation, some products become successes (such as FiberFix and Cerebral Success), some provide groundbreaking innovations (such as LuminAID and Lumio), while others seemingly fade into the shadows of the marketplace (such as Kevo and Breathometer).
However successful some of these products end up being though, you can always be sure to read in-depth reviews about some of the most popular Shark Tank products right here on HighYa!
