About Sprinkler 360

Sprinkler 360 is a new sprinkler that claims to feature a power pivot head that provides 360-degree rotation, 5 water velocity settings, and multiple spray patterns to shower the area you want, without wasting water.

As a result, Sprinkler 360 is claimed to water wide or narrow areas, and to provide the ability to water up to 40 feet in any direction. This means you’ll be able to water just your flowerpots, a small garden, or your whole yard all at once. And when you’re finished, the optional EZ Timer is claimed to shut the water off automatically, so you don’t have to worry about wasting water.

According to the manufacturer, Sprinkler 360 works over 3 steps:

  1. Adjust the spray’s velocity, range of motion, and pattern.
  2. Place where you need to water.
  3. Turn on the water.

Sure, Sprinkler 360 may sound “revolutionary” and easy to use, but is this actually the case? Consider the following:

A Word About Water Usage

First, although Sprinkler 360 claims to help you save water by applying it exactly where you want, keep in mind that the time of day you water your lawn, as well as how often you water it, are two of the biggest methods of reducing water waste.

In other words, if the ground is dry and you apply too much too soon, most of the water will puddle and flow to other areas, potentially wasting the same amount of water as if you were applying it to the wrong area. In addition, if you water your lawn in the afternoon, you could lose 20% to 30% more than if you water after nightfall.

On top of this, there are dozens of other methods you can use to reduce your lawn’s water consumption over the long term, including mulching around trees and plants, dressing plants with organic matter, and more.

Will Sprinkler 360 Water Your Whole Lawn?

Next, although 40 feet of spraying power may sound like a lot, this largely depends on the size of your yard.

To put this in perspective, assuming Sprinkler 360 sprays exactly 40 feet in all directions, this means it has a total coverage potential of 1,600 square feet. On the other hand, the average lawn size in the US is about 8,700 square feet.

As such, unless you have an especially small yard, you’re going to have to move Sprinkler 360 several times in order to water your whole lawn. And there will probably be some significant overlap, which means you still could potentially be “wasting” water.

How Easy is Sprinkler 360 to Use?

Also, according to the manufacturer, you’ll have to set Sprinkler 360’s velocity, range of motion, and pattern before you put it in place and turn it on.

This means that unless you position it perfectly the first time, you’ll either:

  • Have to turn the water off, walk back over the Sprinkler 360, readjust the head, turn the water back on and hope you got it right, or
  • Adjust Sprinkler 360’s head with the water on, which can waste water and get you soaked in the process.

In fact, although it has a different design, this was one of the primary complaints for the Spyder Sprinkler / Noodlehead Sprinkler, which makes many of the same claims as Sprinkler 360.

Granted, you may not experience the same, but it’s certainly something to keep in mind.

Pick a Sprinkler, Any Sprinkler

Finally, keep in mind that you have dozens (perhaps even hundreds) of pattern sprinklers from which to choose, some of which are programmable and cost less than Sprinkler 360, especially when you factor in the non-refundable S&H charges (more about this next).

In fact, pattern sprinklers are so ubiquitous that you’ll almost certainly be able to find options at your local hardware or home improvement store.

Sprinkler 360 Pricing & Refund Policy

Sprinkler 360 is priced at $19.95 plus $8.95 S&H, and you’ll be able to purchase the EZ Timer for additional $4.95 S&H.

Sprinkler 360 comes with a 30-day refund policy, less S&H charges. This means if you decide to purchase the EZ Timer and ultimately return your Sprinkler 360, you could lose as much in S&H charges as you’ll receive as a refund.

With this said, in order to request a refund, you’ll need to contact customer service at 855-721-3334.

Should Sprinkler 360 be Your Next Sprinkler?

Chopping to the Point: Although we have to admit that Sprinkler 360’s design is unique, and that there doesn’t appear to be anything similar elsewhere on the market, this doesn’t necessarily mean that it will water your lawn any better.

Considering this, as well as Sprinkler 360’s “As Seen on TV” status and its steep, non-refundable S&H charges, we might recommend exploring local options before placing your order.

    Fraud

The sprinkler is just OK. Does not turn 360 automatically.

They still are advertising free timer with purchase of another.

Called them, they said they don't make the timer anymore. I think they owe me $20 for the free timer I didn't get.

Would not do business with them again.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

  • Sprinkler 360 w/free timer

    • Texas,
    • Aug 1, 2016

The pitch was buy one Sprinkler 360 with a free timer and get a second sprinkler 360 with a timer for a few dollars for shipping second unit. Sprinklers arrived with no timers. Told by company that timers not available and, therefore, would not be sent. No effort to address problem. At the same time, the web site still advertising free timer with Sprinkler as well as BOGO free. Calls to "corporate office" received various runarounds such as, “We only handle customer service and have not control over web site, I don't know why they are still advertising that, and I am just filling in at this desk and can't help you. You can call back on Monday.”

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

    Frustrated and embarrassed in Chesapeake.

    • Chesapeake Va,
    • Sep 28, 2015

I believe I have been scammed by this company. I have been waiting for at least 4 months for the sprinkler I ordered. I tried to call the number I ordered it from and have gotten a cruise line. I want my money back. I can't believe I fell for this ad. My rating for them is ZERO. If I could go below that rating I would.

    Never received the product

    • Idaho City, ID,
    • Aug 27, 2015

If I would have ever received the product, I would be able to give it a review. I ordered the product in April, received one postcard stating when it would be shipped and it is almost the end of August and am still waiting. Soon it will be too late to even think about watering.
