About Super Back

It’s a bird, it’s a plane... it’s Super Back Hair Remover, an “in shower rinse away back hair removal system” they claim will help men get rid of hair on their back. Super Back is a combination lotion-and-applicator cape that they claim is the easy, fast, and pain-free way to a smooth back.

Super Back Hair Remover is marketed by Spark Innovators, purveyors of beauty and lifestyle items located in Towaco, NJ. There is no BBB accreditation for the company, but they currently have a B rating, with only 1 complaint in the last 3 years.

How Super Back Hair Remover Works

Super Back consists of a hair removal lotion which they tout is made in the USA, hypoallergenic, and quickly works on all skin types. They say its patented formula consists of an “effective hair remover”, “healing aloes”, and “essential oils” that combine to remove hair painlessly and soothe your skin. (They do not list the active ingredients.)

The part (we assume) that makes it “Super” is the rubber cape which you use to apply the cream to your back. Instead of using a dangerous razor or getting a (reluctant) girlfriend to do the deed, they say you simply squeeze the formula on the cape and wear it around your neck in the shower.

After a few minutes (the actual time is not specified) they claim your back will be hair-free. The cape appears to need some manual help to work its magic - the instruction video shows men using it as a way to rub their back, ostensibly assisting in the hair removal process. They claim this is much better than painful waxing and can also  be used on chest or arms (sans cape.)

Super Back Hair Removal comes with:

  • 30 Day Super Back Hair Removal Supply (upgraded to 60 days “free” with extra Shipping & Handling)
  • 1 applicator cape (additional cape included with upgrade)

Super Back Hair Remover Pricing, Shipping, and Returns

Super Back comes in what they say is a 30-Day (8 oz) supply for $19.99 plus $7.99 S & H for a total of $27.98. If you want to “upgrade” to 60-Days (16 oz) for “free” you pay an additional $7.99 S & H for a total of $35.97. They say your purchase is covered by a 30 day guarantee, meaning you can return the product (you pay shipping) within that time and you will get your $19.99 back (but not the S & H.)

Bottom Line: Is Super Back a Scam?

Super Back Hair Remover is very expensive and seems to offer little for your money that you can’t get elsewhere cheaper (try Nair for Men and a wet towel.) Removing back hair is still difficult to do on your own even with a “cape” and we don’t like that they won’t reveal the ingredients. Fly away from this product at top speed.
