About SurvivalSeeds4Patriots

Created by Frank Bates of Power 4 Patriots fame, SurvivalSeeds4Patriots sells “seed vaults” that are claimed to provide you and your family with a nutritious food source during times of distress. SurvivalSeeds4Patriots also claims that each of the seeds contained in their “super effective storage systems” “have been chosen for their truly extraordinary germination rates,” and are non-GMO (genetically modified organisms).

Based in Nashville, TN, Frank Bates claims that he came up with the idea for SurvivalSeeds4Patriots after watching the millions of people who were affected by recent natural disasters, as well as the government’s inability to effectively handle the situations. As such, he claims that food is often the most important resource during a disaster (manmade or otherwise), and the SurvivalSeeds4Patriots seed vault can provide you and your family with a long-lasting food source.

What is Included in a SurvivalSeeds4Patriots Seed Vault?

Each 7.5” X 4” SurvivalSeeds4Patriots seed vault contains over 5,640 seeds, spanning 21 different varieties. Inside, each seed type is kept airtight using individual foil packets, and is part of the reason why SurvivalSeeds4Patriots claims they will remain viable for up to five years. If they are refrigerated however, their viability could remain for as long as 15 years.

In addition to the SurvivalSeeds4Patriots seed vault, you’ll also receive step-by-step planting instructions, a harvesting guide, as well as four free bonus “books,” including:

  1. The “More Valuable Than Gold” crisis report,
  2. A 36-page manual titled, “The Survival Guide to Canning and Preserving,”
  3. The “Survival Garden Guide,” which helps you to provide an abundant food resource for you and your family during times of crisis, and
  4. “Top 10 Items Sold Out After Crisis,” which outlines the top 10 items you should hoard during a disaster.

It’s important to note here that the above “books” are actually e-books, and are distributed in PDF format. As a result, in order to view them, you’ll need to download a free PDF Reader from Adobe.

SurvivalSeeds4Patriots Pricing & Return Policy

Each SurvivalSeeds4Patriots seed vault costs $67, which the company claims is 70% off of normal pricing. The product comes with a 60-day, 100% money back guarantee, and includes free shipping and handling to all U.S. and Canadian customers. However, if you decide to return your seed vault, you will be responsible for shipping it back to the manufacturer.

On top of this, SurvivalSeeds4Patriots also provides a 300% money back guarantee for customers who plant their seeds, but experience anything less than a successful harvest. As long as you have photo documentation of the process and include them with your refund request, SurvivalSeeds4Patriots claims they will honor it. Shipping and handling will be the customer’s responsibility.

With that said, there have been numerous customer complaints that the 300% guarantee could never be honored, as the growing and harvesting process takes longer than 60 days. Also, regardless of the type of refund you’re looking for, keep in mind that in order for it to be processed, you’ll have to include a copy of your order confirmation (or at least your email address on file), and all products must be in “merchantable” condition.

Bottom Line: Is SurvivalSeeds4Patriots a Scam?

Based on our research, SurvivalSeeds4Patriots appears to provide products similar to what is described in their sales material. However, as with their sister company Power 4 Patriots, the primary selling tactic on the SurvivalSeeds4Patriots website is fear. Very often this results in rash decisions, instead of informed ones. For instance, many customers have noted that with minimal research, these same seed varieties can often be purchased through local suppliers for much less than the advertised price.

From a customer satisfaction standpoint, SurvivalSeeds4Patriots (grouped with Power 4 Patriots) holds an A- rating with the Better Business Bureau, based on 35 closed complaints. Of these complaints, the most frequent appear to be related to product/service problems, and advertising/sales issues. More specifically, a wide variety of customers have reported anywhere from a 15-50% germination rate, as well as unauthorized credit card charges.

While SurvivalSeeds4Patriots does not appear to be a scam, they do appear to use fear tactics to sell products at apparently inflated prices. Also, if you decide to purchase a seed vault, it may be a good idea to closely monitor your credit card activity.

Where's my "Buy 2 and get one Free?

    • Pensacola, FL,
    • Jul 4, 2015

I bought two seed vaults via the promotion, "Buy Two and get a Third Vault Free" I was charged for the two but I only received the two that I paid for. I never did get the free one as advertised. I think that this is a rip off. I've placed my last order with this company.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend
