About Swipe New
Swipe New is a relatively new “As Seen on TV” grooming product that claims to help keep your razor blades working like new up to 4X longer. In addition, by reducing how often you have to replace your blades, the company claims that you can save up to $170 per year.
Similar to Yes! by Finishing Touch, HD Night Vision Wraparounds, and the Yoshi Grill & Bake, Swipe New is manufactured by Idea Village, who holds a D rating with the Better Business Bureau. Most of these complaints appear to reference problems with products, as well as advertising issues. Regarding Swipe New specifically, we were unable to locate any online reviews during our research, despite the fact that the product’s URL was first registered in May 2013.
How Swipe New Works
Whether you’re a man or woman, or using top-of-the-line or disposable razors, Swipe New claims that after you’re finished shaving, simply swipe your blade to help it last up to 4X longer. In fact, the company even claims that Swipe New is “clinically proven to protect and preserve your blades so they stay working like new.” On top of this, Swipe New is claimed to contain Aloe Vera, and Vitamins A, D & E, which will moisturize your skin long after you’re finished shaving.
Swipe New Pricing & Refund Policy
Swipe New is available only through the manufacturer, and is priced at $10 plus $6.99 shipping and handling. As with most “As Seen on TV” products, you’ll also receive a second Swipe New product free with your order.
Swipe New comes with a 30-day money back guarantee, less shipping and handling charges. If you’re dissatisfied for any reason during this time, simply call customer service at 855-721-3337 or email@example.com to initiate the process. However, keep in mind that you’ll be responsible for return shipping back to the manufacturer.
Bottom Line: Is Swipe New a Scam?
First, keep in mind that Swipe New is an “As Seen on TV” product, which tend to have lower customer satisfaction ratings than similar mainstream products. However, even though the product’s URL has been online since May 2013, we were unable to locate any online customer reviews during our research.
Next, though Swipe New comes with a 30-day money back guarantee, this does not include the original $6.99 S&H charge, and you’ll also be responsible for shipping charges back to the manufacturer. As a result, you may end up spending more in shipping charges than on the product itself. This is a common moneymaking tactic for “As Seen on TV” products, which you can read more about here.
In addition, other than Aloe Vera, and Vitamins A, D & E, no ingredients are listed for Swipe New. On top of this, other than claiming that Swipe New works similar to car wax to protect your blades, no additional information is provided as to how the product actually works.
Finally, though the Swipe New website claims that it has been “clinically proven to protect and preserve your blades so they stay working like new,” there are no links on the product’s website that would support this claim.
Bottom line: With the limited amount of information available on the product’s website, including the lack of links to clinical trials supporting its efficacy, we would recommend choosing a different avenue if you’re looking to save money on razor blades. One such option may be Dollar Shave Club.

The best blade I've ever used.
I'm 83, and shave every day. An old habit. I've never had a blade last over a month. I'm not sure how long it would really last. I feel guilty in using it longer, so, even though I still get a good shave after a month, I change to a new one. Could be because this is about 5 times longer than any other blades in my past. The best blade ever.
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
