About Testamatol

Reverse the aging process. Increase energy and stamina. Improve appearance. Testamatol is a nutritional supplement that claims to do it all.

But how? By using a proprietary blend of 3 different types of l-arginine (including alpha ketoglutarate and monohydrochloride) and l-citrulline.

These ingredients are scientifically proven to stimulate HGH production, which can:

  • Increase testosterone levels and lean muscle mass,
  • Enhance alertness and libido,
  • Decrease fat production and unhealthy cravings, and can even
  • Enhance your athletic ability!

And because some of Testamatol’s ingredients also act as a precursor to nitric oxide, the supplement can improve blood flow to all areas of your body. This can give you better, ahem, “performance.”

Are you thinking, “Dude, why wouldn’t I take Testamatol?” Not so fast hombre, because there are a lot of red flags when it comes to this supplement. The first of which is how it’s sold.

The Dirty Details of Testamatol’s Free Trial

Come across a product sold only through a “free” trial? Turn and run. Here’s why:

With Testamatol (and nearly every other product sold through a free trial), you’ll begin the process by paying $4.95 to cover S&H. In return, you’ll receive a full 30-day supply of the supplement.

After it ends, you’ll pay $89.99! Not only this, but you’ll continue receiving a new bottle of Testamatol every 30 days, and will be billed $89.99 each time.

At first, you might think this sounds harmless. But here’s where they really get you.

Why it’s Always Important to Read the Terms & Conditions

Per Testamatol’s Terms, it will take 2-5 business days to receive your order, which could leave you with just a few days before having to cancel your trial. And even if you receive your order sooner, call the company, and attempt to cancel, you might experience a lot of pushback from rude customer service personnel.

How do we know all of this? First, from experience reviewing dozens of these popular testosterone supplements (more about this next), like Spartagen XT, Alpha Limit, and Beyond Human Testosterone, which come with almost wholly negative reviews.

Second, because of business practices like this: According to the Testamatol Terms, “This exclusive offer is being made available to those persons willing to evaluate the product and determine its effectiveness in weight loss. Customer agrees to try the product and evaluate its performance before requesting a refund or cancellation.”

The catch is that, according to this same document, only products in their original, unopened package are eligible for returns. So if you think about it, it could technically be impossible to return your Testamatol order, regardless of what you do.

Pro tip: Based on the company’s essentially identical Terms and refund policy, Testamatol appears to be from the same manufacturer as Vigoraflo.

That’s what we think about Testamatol’s business practices. Now, let’s talk about what we know about the supplement and the science behind it.

What is Human Growth Hormone (HGH)? How about Testosterone?

As its name implies, human growth hormone is a growth produced in the pituitary gland that helps us grow as children, while providing a variety of other benefits throughout our life.

Testosterone is also another key hormone in our life, although its primary responsibility is related to the “development of male sexual characteristics,” but can also promote lean muscle mass, increase sexual desire, and improve athletic performance. Clearly, there are some overlaps in between HGH and testosterone.

The problem is that beginning sometime around middle age, our production of both testosterone and HGH reaches levels that cause negative side effects to manifest, like an increase in body fat and fatigue, decrease in sexual desire, depression, mood swings, reduced muscle mass, and more.

In severe cases, this can be treated by testosterone replacement therapy or HGH injections. Obviously, these are handled only by physicians, so you’ll need to speak with yours to find out the best treatment plan based on your diagnosis.

In the mean time, will Testamatol’s ingredients work just as well?

How Effective Are Testamatol’s Ingredients?

There are basically only 2 ingredients in Testamatol; l-arginine and l-citrulline.

Like the Testamatol website mentions, l-arginine is converted inside the body into nitric oxide, which acts to expand blood vessels, improve blood flow, and stimulate the release of growth hormone. As such, it’s listed as possibly effective for treating circulation-related problems, such as chest pain, erectile dysfunction, high blood pressure, and more.

However, there isn’t any clinical evidence showing that alpha ketoglutarate or monohydrochloride versions of l-arginine work any better than the standard.

L-citrulline, on the other hand, acts as a precursor to l-arginine (it turns into l-arginine inside your body) and there isn’t enough clinical evidence showing it provides any benefits to the human body.

Here’s (yet another) catch though: In order to get any benefits from l-arginine, you’d need to take three daily doses ranging between 5mg and 20mg per day.

How much is contained in Testamatol? The manufacturer didn’t think it was important to include a label with the totals for each ingredient, so we simply don’t know—but even if Testamatol did contain enough l-arginine to provide some of the above benefits, it still wouldn’t “reverse the aging process” in any way.

How about Testamatol’s side effects?

Will You Experience Any Side Effects with Testamatol?

Probably not. However, WebMD claims that some l-arginine users might experience “abdominal pain, bloating, diarrhea, gout, blood abnormalities, allergies, airway inflammation, worsening of asthma, and low blood pressure.”

Let’s bring everything together, assess the situation, and see where we are.

The Bottom Line about Testamatol

You might’ve picked up on some negativity in this review, but the reality is that we’ve seen these exact same claims—from companies with identical business models, who make products with the exact same ingredients—dozens of times.

And the outcome is rarely good, much of which we covered in our article Do Testosterone Boosters Really Work?

Whether it’s ingredients that don’t work as advertised (or at all), extremely high prices, or frustrating customer service experiences, trial-based supplements like these almost never live up to the hype. And we believe you’ll experience much of the same with Testamatol.

The good news is that if you’re experiencing symptoms of low testosterone and/or HGH, finding some relief could be as easy as scheduling an appointment with your doctor. This way, you can make sure any treatments are effective, safe, and provide a solid value for your hard-earned money.

    Testamatol and Vigoraflo

    • Jan 4, 2016

I agree with the first review. They get you on the intro bottle and quickly charge you $89.95 in 14 days. My credit card did not accept the charge so they tried two more times and even changed the amount to see if it would take, but it did not. Not sure if it was the Testamatol that hurt my joints and made them stiff or if it was the Vigoraflo that makes me sleep like I took Tylenol PM and I could not get going after my sleep. I would not recommend this product and still trying to get my money back from the Customer Service Rep that I could not understand. Good luck.

    This business is a scam!

    • El Paso, TX,
    • Jan 1, 2016

Warning about this free trial. After ordering a free trial, which was supposedly only $4.95 and $5.95 for shipping and handling, I was charged an extra $4.95. However, it doesn't end here. I was also charged $89.99 for something that was supposed to be free. What kind of a fraudulent business is this? You all are thieves. Watch out people. It's all a hook. Don't order the free trial.

    Deception Beware

    • Salt Lake City, UT,
    • Dec 1, 2015

This will probably NOT be published, however you need to know that although it says FREE SAMPLE, you will be charged $89.99 for this product. When I saw I was charged full price for a supplement that has not been proven and a company that has to use deceptive ads to sell their product, BEWARE, I think you know why they do it. This is no different than any of the 1,000's of supposed testosterone boosters that has been sold over the last decade. The difference is these guys use kinky advertising. Don't waste your time or money.
