Poor Customer Service

By Aaron, Seattle, WA, Verified Reviewer

The Black Tux has a nice website and a good business model. Unfortunately my experience was not pleasant, and it's in the area of customer service, something they have 100% control over. First you'll visit the website. Once you're online and your event is chosen, you'll input your measurements. Proper fit is key for a good look. In my case it's a 40R jacket with a 32/32 slack--a pretty standard eight inch drop.

Here's what they don't tell you, as confirmed over the phone: As part of the "process" Black Tux will revise your measurements if they feel they have a better fit. They may reach out to you, but absent a quick reply they'll mail you what their recommendation is instead of your order. In my case off a 32/32 order I received a 34/30 slack. Black Tux will claim it's based on their fit experts and the type of suit/tux they supply. In the case of the waist there *may* be variation, but length is a pretty universal measurement. Not surprisingly the suit fit exactly like a 34/30; too big in the waist and too short in the leg.

Phoning up the company on a Wednesday I received the same agent who actually revised the fit. He explained what I mentioned above, that they alter what's sent based on what their fit experts see for your body measurements. I told him that my original selection (32/32) was the right fit and found it was not available (perhaps why it wasn't sent originally). A 32/30 could be sent, but in order to get there three days later (Saturday) it would need to be shipped via the overnight service. In short, I would need to pay $21 for the shipping a suit that was closer (but not quite) my actual order. He said he was happy to trade poor review(s) for the $21. Fair enough.

If you're doing $500 - $1000 worth of business with a company, you deserve quality customer service, and you deserve something that fits right or at least what you ordered. Great website, sure. Great suit, maybe, if you like wearing someone else's size.

Poor fit

By Alan Turbin , Los Angeles

Three of us ordered from the Black tux and none of their pants/jackets or shirts were right. We spoke with customer service over the phone and after a lengthy conversation I figured out their problem, they have no "odd sizes" or 1/2 sizes. I normally wear a 15 1/2" shirt, they only have 15 or 16, so they could only give me a 16 which I would swim in or a 15 with a collar extender, yikes - so much for a custom fit. Same with their jackets, nothing is customized, all off the shelf sizes based on measurements you send in.

Incredibly pleased

By Debbie Wilson, Plantation, FL, Verified Reviewer

We used The Black Tux for our son's senior prom and could not believe the experience. Their website is user friendly, the tux, shoes and accessories were beautiful (they even sent a brand new pair of socks for my son to keep) and it all arrived when the company said it would. It came on hangers in a black garment bag along with a prepaid shipping label for the return as well as a piece of tape to seal the box!

We wanted to keep it an extra week as my son was invited to a prom at another school so I called the company and they gave us an extension for a small fee. The customer service rep was so nice!

I highly recommend The Black Tux and would definitely use them again!

Rentals not timely

By Kristen Brooks, Charleston, SC, Verified Reviewer

I had a poor experience with The Black Tux and for a bride and groom it was a lot of added stress right before the Big Day. The online order experience was excellent and the suits were good quality. But 3 days before the event we had still not received my husband's suit, when their policy is to send it out 10 days ahead so that the groom receives it 7 days in advance and is able to send it back if there is a fit issue.

Some of his groomsmen had received theirs at that point and they all needed to send back at least one piece of the suit, which made us very nervous. Other groomsmen had not yet received theirs either.

When I tried to contact The Black Tux, I had a very difficult time. They do not pick up their phone calls, and you are welcomed to be called back by their customer service. However, when they call back and you pick up, there is a voice recording saying "Sorry, we seem to have missed you. Please try us again", or something to that effect. This happened more than three times.

I finally got someone on the phone and was told I'd be called back the next day once it was shipped out, after they blamed the issue on FedEx. (However, if it was FedEx's shipping issue, I would have at least received a preliminary notification that it was scanned. And secondly, if it was a FedEx issue, you think someone at The Black Tux would have reached out to let us know about it.)

Anyway, the next day I did not receive a call back, so I again went through the call/hold/auto-recording chase. When I got someone on the phone I demanded a FedEx tracking number for the suit, and that I was not hanging up until it was addressed.

I would not recommend this company, especially when trying to outfit a bridal party, as it caused a massive amount of stress and time wasted to multiple people. Lastly, their shoes for rent are horribly cheap looking in person - a total disappointment.

Wrong suit

By Greg, Atlanta, GA, Verified Reviewer

We placed an order for suits for my son's wedding based on the picture represented on The Black Tux website. We called in and spoke to the representative who assured us that the navy suit was, in fact, the color represented in the photo. So, we placed our order.

When we received the suits, they were almost black and not the lighter navy blue with gray tones shown in the photo. I immediately called The Black Tux and was told that there is nothing they can do about the misrepresentation in the photo or what the representative originally told us.

They basically bait and switch, and then less than two weeks before the wedding can only offer a refund rather than appropriately correct the problem. It's very clear that trying to do this online is not appropriate. They have left a disappointed wedding party stranded.

Very Disappointed!

By Wayne Johnson, Florida, Verified Reviewer

First, the suit arrived very wrinkled up. I figured no big deal. I will have it pressed. Once I tried on the suit I realized the vest was too small. I called their support line. I was told although they do carry the larger size, but currently, there are not available. Their only option was to refund me the rental cost of the vest.

Really?! What about the father of the groom being the only person that is partially dressed? I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told she is the one who authorized the refund of the vest rental amount.

I can't tell you how dissatisfied I am with their lack of concern.

Awful

By Mary K Romanelli, Illinois, Verified Reviewer

I bet this won't be viewed on the website! Awful quality. My son's shirt was threadbare and ripped when buttoned. My husband's tie was awful, and they sent a replacement that was even worse and smelled like a firepit/smoke. Yuck.

Great company

By Sherry Ellsworth, Longview, TX, Verified Reviewer

Great company to work with; very friendly and I would highly recommend. We actually ordered three tuxes from them for our son's wedding, one of which was the velvet jacket that our son wore. He received several comments and was asked where he rented from! Thank you for making his day special! We will be going with The Black Tux in the future!

Poor quality, worse customer focus

By Matt Tretter, Pennsylvania, Verified Reviewer

I rented a tux from The Black Tux for a work-related gala with several important colleagues much more senior than me. Needless to say, I was striving for a great impression and had heard good things about The Black Tux from friends.

While the online shopping, measuring, and ordering experience was very easy and intuitive, I was entirely disappointed by the quality of the tux once it arrived. It looked very cheap, and as a result, I decided not to wear it and rent another tux from a different rental company. I chose not to find an alternative through The Black Tux given that their other options would be of similarly poor quality.

After the date of my event, I notified The Black Tux of my issue with the quality of their product in hopes of getting a refund since I had to rent another tux to compensate for their poor quality. Unfortunately, their customer service was absolutely terrible. They indicated that because the event date was past, they can't (read: won't) refund me for the rental, implied that I was lying about not being able to wear the tux, and accused me of costing them two weeks of revenue since I kept their tux until my rental date despite not wearing it to the event. All this after I offered to send them a copy of my receipt from the other rental company and a dated photograph of me wearing the other tux at the event.

I was and remain disappointed at their lack of accountability and customer focus and their apparent culture of putting profits over people. For a company that happily accepts praise as "the Warby Parker of men's formalwear," I would have expected so much more of their customer centricity and product quality.

They will ruin your wedding

By Justin C, Los Angeles, CA, Verified Reviewer

They fraudulently charged me $700 after their package got lost in the mail. Their business model is about renting tuxedos through the mail, yet they blame the customer for items lost in the mail. Complete fraud.

The bigger issue is Al, from their customer service team; a horrible employee and does not deserve a job.

I can't control how items are returned to them or if they are lost in the mail. This company immediately blames THEIR CUSTOMERS when issues arise. Stay away!

Do not rent from The Black Tux!

By Emily C., Seattle, WA, Verified Reviewer

If you have any other option, DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT rent from The Black Tux. I'm still in the middle of a very frustrating situation leading up to my wedding (which is less than ONE WEEK AWAY) due to their incompetent customer service.

My brother received his suit three weeks ago, and it was too large. He went through that online process telling them he wanted a size smaller. Fast forward another week, and the new suit gets here, it is now TWO SIZES TOO BIG. What the heck? My brother has done nothing wrong, and they sent him the wrong size suit. I call customer service, and they confirm it is their mistake and they will fix it. Great! Except that they decide they will only give me free two-day shipping which, due to the Memorial Day holiday, will have the suit arriving the DAY BEFORE THE WEDDING.

This is incredibly stressful. They've already made one huge mistake and what if they make another (which at this point is totally possible given their history) and my brother has no good suit to wear the day of the wedding? I ask for next-day shipping on them. They say they'll charge me $20 for it because "it's coming from another warehouse location and due to the holiday etc. etc." They say that if the suit that arrives on Friday (the day before the wedding) is still the wrong size, they'll give me "priority" next day shipping so the suit will arrive on the morning of the wedding day.

How does this make any sense? Why would you wait to give me next-day shipping at the last minute when you could just give it to me NOW and save your customers the headache and stress? You really think someone planning a big event needs this added on to their stress level? Absolutely incompetent that they were not willing to eat the $20 cost of next-day shipping due to THEIR OWN MISTAKE.

If you have any ability to go with a different suit rental company, DO IT. I would never use these guys again. They made a huge mistake on their end and now want to charge ME to fix it. Completely ridiculous. Do NOT rent from these guys!

$1000 late return charge

By Chris S., New York, Verified Reviewer

I rented a suit for my friend's wedding through Black Tux. Little did I realize that they have a ridiculous return policy of three days, after which they automatically charge you for the full price of the suit. The wedding was on Saturday, I traveled home on Sunday, and I was working Monday and Tuesday and so didn't have time to return it (you need to physically bring it to a FedEx store). I received an email on Tuesday that said: "we assume you decided to keep the suit, so if we don't hear back from you in 24 hours we will charge you $940 for the suit!" (As if this janky suit was worth anywhere near that much!)

I immediately replied to tell them I did not want to keep the suit I was just a couple of days late on the return. They charged the $940 out of my account anyway and told me that they would refund it (minus a late fee) when they received the suit. It was the end of the month, so I ended up having to borrow money to pay my rent because of this. Even when I emailed them with the FexEx confirmation that the suit had been delivered, it took them more than a week to "process" the refund. They kept more than $100 as a late return fee, almost the price of the whole rental.

I would highly discourage anyone from using this service. Particularly making your groomsmen use this since they will have no idea and could get completely screwed over, as I did.

Not to be trusted for your tuxedo needs

By David B., Massachusetts, Verified Reviewer

I rented five tuxedos, totaling over $900, for my wedding. Several groomsmen were traveling from out of state or country, so they shipped their tuxedos to my address. The Black Tux mistakenly sent two tuxes of my size. I was, therefore, one tuxedo short for my groomsmen, with the missing tux being for one groomsman who is significantly larger than me. There was no way for him to fit in a slim fit tux my size. This was not a small mistake. My groomsman has 100 lbs on me. He was fit by a professional tailor and input his measurements correctly into The Black Tux site. We called The Black Tux, but they said they could not help with short notice, even though the mistake was theirs by their own admission.

We scrambled to rent a tuxedo right before the wedding. Fortunately, we eventually found one. However, we could not find a perfect match for our Black Tux tuxedos. The replacement was more expensive than The Black Tux tuxedo. So now I spent more than $1100 on tuxedos for my wedding, and we didn't even match thanks to The Black Ttux.

After the wedding, I finally got in touch with a manager at The Black Tux after several failed attempts. I asked The Black Tux to refund the extra cost of the more expensive replacement tux ($200 vs. $132 at the black tux). The Black Tux refused. Clyde and Kevin at The Black Tux customer support admitted fault, but were unwilling to make this problem caused by The Black Tux right.

In an attempt to appease me, Clyde and Kevin did offer me a promo code, as if I would ever use this company again. I would not recommend using The Black Tux to anyone for any reason. Their employees are clearly incompetent on several levels. They do not care about their customers. They will not correct their own mistakes. If you need a nice tuxedo for an important event, I would strongly suggest looking somewhere else.

Disastrous experience

By Marc T., Boston, MA, Verified Reviewer

Ordered a tux May 5th. Charged May 5th. The website said I would get a tux on May 18th. Didn’t arrive. Called May 20th. Where is my tux? Apologies, they said, you will get it mid-week. Called May 21st. Just double-checking that I will get tux mid-week. If I don’t, it will be hard to get replacements if items don’t fit. Was told my tux is out of stock. I could not believe it. They asked if I would like a different color - different than black. I said no and complained that this is ridiculous. When were they going to tell me there was a problem? I spoke with a supervisor and she promised she would call back with a solution in two hours. Six hours later, I have not heard from her. I called and was told she’s in a meeting. It must be a very important meeting. I hope they are all trying to figure out how to get me my tux. Extremely disappointed. Running to a local shop to get emergency tux fitting today. I will never use The Black Tux again. I will never recommend them. They should save all those who plan to use them in the future and shut down. What a disgrace.

Design flaws galore

By Nick S., New York, Verified Reviewer

The main compliant I have is that you put in your event on the website, then you schedule your appointment. Yet it will - as was the case with me - let you schedule an appointment without enough time for them to get you a tux. The SoHo store is also a bit tatty. Bathroom was nasty. Generally felt like they’d thrown it all together haphazardly.

Very bad experience on the consumer end!

By Haakon W., Santa Cruz, CA, Verified Reviewer

This company is not forthright about their policies!

I wore my tuxedo to the wedding, no problem. The wedding was on a Friday. I knew I had three days to return it, but mistakenly thought that meant three business days. I received no notifications from The Black Tux after the wedding, nor today, the day I was supposed to have the tux in the mail back to them. Yet there it is on my account on their website, "Return by September 2nd". I was never explicitly told or notified of this date, and had to dig in my account to find it. It's almost like they want to charge you the $425 late fee for the jacket, the $40 late fee for the tux...etc.

To "solve" my problem, I paid them a $60 "reservation extension fee". This company sucks, would not use again.

Never doing business with The Black Tux again!

By Daniel S., Miami, FL, Verified Reviewer

You are the only company that I have had to deal with during these horrible times of the CORONAVIRUS that has not helped their customers. YOU DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR CUSTOMERS, every other company (airline, hotel and car rental) returned the money, you kept it (I know you are giving a credit - not good, because the event was canceled!), even though your agent said over the phone that you were going to give us a refund and that I did not use the suit, you are bad.

I know there is nothing I can do, it is YOUR POLICY (but policies can make exceptions, especially during times like these). The way I see it, Karma will get you back.

Again, NEVER DOING BUSINESS WITH YOU AGAIN and I am letting everyone know about you and the way you do business.

And please, do not post a "smart" reply to this review saying that you understand and will do everything in your power to make this better, because you are not. You didn’t even want to get on the phone with me when I requested a phone call after "hiding" behind five or six emails. You are bad.

Returned unworn and they refuse to process my refund

By Joshua D., Dayton, OH, Verified Reviewer

I purchased a navy suit jacket, pants, white shirt, and navy vest for my wedding. After COVID delays, I purchased a second suit after being told by The Black Tux that they did have the suit jacket in my size and I would have to rent. I said no, thank you, I'll take a full refund. Magically, they happened to find my size immediately and said they would be sending everything I wanted brand new and unworn (I'm willing to bet they just grabbed a rental and pawned it off as brand new). I received a water-damaged package containing a suit jacket, pants, vest, and shirt and immediately returned it. They're telling me they received my vest and nothing else. It was all returned in the same box. How does this make sense? I disputed the credit card charge and just got re-billed for the purchase. Terrible experience. The Black Tux has stolen $617.48 from me and I have absolutely nothing to show for it. I would not recommend this service to anyone after this nightmare first-time experience. Absolutely do not use The Black Tux

By Sarah J., Raleigh, NC, Verified Reviewer

Eleven days before my wedding we received an email that they did not have our color ties in stock. They gave me options for other colors, but none of them went with the theme of the wedding. It took me 3 hours while on vacation to get ahold of someone to get a refund. Eight days before my wedding groomsman started receiving emails that they didn't have their correct sizes in stock. We were supposed to have the suits to all the men 2 weeks before the wedding so why did they just figure out they didn't have the correct sizes 8 days beforehand? They didn't have anything for my dad and he had to go out and buy a suit and have it rush tailored 4 days before the wedding. The Black Tux was IMPOSSIBLE to get a hold of and was extremely hard to deal with. They blamed everything on COVID, but why was I just getting communication that there were issued 8 days before the wedding? They should have communicated that they were having stocking issues from the beginning. We were 4 months into COVID at this point and I'm pretty sure they knew they didn't have the correct tie colors or suit sizes far before 8 days before the wedding (especially since they guarantee you that you will have the suits 2 weeks beforehand).

In the end, my father had to buy a suit from a different store and 3 of our groomsmen wore suits that were way too big/small for them. They didn't offer any sort of financial reimbursement. They are HORRIBLE, do not use them. AWFUL customer service and communication.

Did not fulfill order at late notice

They let me know 2 weeks before the wedding that they wouldn't have my size available. Would only offer 20% off for items of wildly different sizes. Wouldn't have cared if I was a groomsman, but since it's my wedding really was looking for a suit that actually fits. They gave a lame-duck excuse about COVID, but it's clear they just rented their inventory and didn't feel like buying additional units to meet demand. Do not use The Black Tux no matter what

By Seth S., Easthampton, MA, Verified Reviewer

My experience with The Black Tux was by far the worst customer experience I have ever had. Only 1 of my 6 groomsmen orders didn't have issues of some kind. For 3 of us, they didn't have the size we ordered in stock so we had to wear ill-fitting tuxes that either just didn't fit correctly or one couldn't even button the neck of his shirt because it was either one size too small or 3 sizes too big. We also got our wrong sizes only a few days prior to the wedding. So leading up to the wedding week, I didn't know if we could even wear our tuxes.

Not only did they not have the correct sizes that they had a full year in advance, but the customer service was also terrible. I had to argue and yell with them to get anything done and all they kept saying was that the solutions I offered were against policy. Well, guess what? It should be against policy to not meet your terms of service. They also were not at all proactive in fixing the problem. The only reason I found out we were going to have an issue is that I called the 2 weeks before my wedding to see why my other groomsmen or I hadn't received a shipping email. That is when I was told, I may or may not receive a tux in time.

To make it worse, the supervisor I was dealing with felt it was completely ok to lie to me throughout the process. For example, your groomsmen's wrong size tux will get overnighted tomorrow (Friday). Groomsmen didn't get it by Monday. So I called and it wasn't even packaged to be shipped.

On top of all these problems, the tux quality isn't great, and the shoes look like absolute trash. When I went to the store to get fitted, the shoes were in terrible shape. I asked then to make sure that the shoes they send were in better shape and was told yes. Guess what? That was also a lie. I was in the hospital the week before my wedding for 3 days and this was still the most stressful. Run away from The Black Tux as fast as you can.

Out of stock notification less than 2 weeks from wedding

By Joshua C., Rochester, NY, Verified Reviewer

Booked myself and four groomsmen for a wedding this June, had everything sorted back in January, even did a home try-on without issue. Received an email at the end of May confirming that my suit was preparing to ship. Two weeks before the wedding I get an email stating they didn't have my pants size in a light blue tuxedo and asked if I wanted to change styles or my size (?). I told them I didn't because it's a tuxedo and I couldn't just change the size as that's not a thing. They proceeded to tell me that they never had this size, yet they had confirmed the order "automatically". They then offered to change to black pants and then IN THE SAME EMAIL PARAGRAPH said they didn't have any in stock so I should just "wear whatever pants you have and it'll work".

I asked for a refund and confirmation that the rest of my party was all set, got told "the rest of your party was in the size range so should be good, if there are any problems we'd have let them know". Then my best man gets an email saying they're out of everything and asking HIM if he wants to change his tuxedo to something different (when obviously he's not the one who assigned everyone's look). Only one person has had a shipping confirmation (when they were supposed to have it in hand 2 weeks out), everyone else says "pending". Now we're less than two weeks out scrambling to find matching suits for everyone. The Black Tux has not been helpful in any way and seems to act like none of this is a big deal and we should be happy getting anything at all. Nothing was said for the four months leading up to this.

I encourage everyone to look up other review sites before using this company, you'll see how they used to come highly recommended and now are just receiving one stars for the same reasons described above.

Navy blue suit nightmare

By Will B., Oak Forest, IL, Verified Reviewer

My experience with The Black Tux started well but was a nightmare and very stressful, especially as we got close to our wedding day. I was renting a navy blue suit for my wedding. I expected a few challenges due to Covid, but that's why I started the suit rental process early for my June 20, 2021 wedding. I needed a navy blue suit for myself, my best man, and my groomsman. I was looking to schedule an appointment at the beginning of March, but the first appointment that worked with my schedule was on 4/2/2021. I went to my fitting, and the woman working with us said that we had plenty of time, recommending that we submit our order about 3-4 weeks before the event. One disappointment was that we could not try on on the suits, rather we could only try on a black tux. We didn't want to risk not getting our suits and paid for them on 4/11/2021.

We wanted navy blue suits instead of tuxedos because we had a daytime wedding, and the bridesmaids were wearing light blue dresses. My best man and I went for our fitting at the Chicago Showroom by my other groomsman who lives in North Carolina. We decided to use The Black Tux because everyone was able to visit a location to get fitted. My first issue with The Black Tux was that my groomsman in North Carolina needed wide shoes which were not available. Neither one of us could make the edits online, I tried calling and after waiting on hold for over an hour, I hung up. I then called later in the day and waited 2 hours before someone answered the phone to modify the order. It would be much more convenient to allow customers to modify parts of their order online. Everything was all set, so we could focus on everything else for the wedding, or so we thought.

I received an email on 5/24/2021 saying that my order was being prepared. They said that I should receive my order 14 days before my event (June 6th), so that I can try on my suit to make sure everything fits correctly. They sent me an email on June 8th at 6:07 pm that my suit was not available. They did not have the courtesy to call and when I called a few minutes later, their customer service call center was closed. My groomsman who lives in North Carolina also got the same email.

Their suggestion was to get a suit in another size or a different style. Isn't the purpose of a fitting to get a suit that is the correct size? Also, I wanted a navy blue suit, they did not have any other styles that were somewhat close to what I wanted. If they didn't have the inventory, couldn't they have told me when I placed my order or possibly ordered a new suit from their manufacturer?

I started calling the next morning (June 9th) as soon as they opened, at 8 am. In case there were any connection issues, I called from my cell phone and home phone. After about 2 hours both lines were answered and immediately disconnected. I ended up leaving work so that I could go to the Chicago Showroom. I met with the showroom manager and I explained the situation. He told me that 50 wedding parties had their entire orders canceled due to inventory issues but that did not count our wedding party (although 66% of our order could not be fulfilled) because my best man's suit was being shipped (but late). He was also getting married the same day as my wife and me, when I asked him if he got his suit from The Black Tux and he said no, he went somewhere else.

I was working with this manager for over 3 hours. He was trying to find anything that could potentially be altered to fit. He kept checking with the warehouses but they essentially had no inventory. He was able to get a suit that was too large and the warehouse was supposed to get it sent overnight, with delivery by 10 am on Friday, June 11th. This time was important so that we could get to the tailor to drop off the suit before we were going out of town for final wedding tasks.

I then checked with Jos A Bank and The Men's Warehouse. They did not have any available navy blue suits in their inventory but I could not be upset with them because it was last minute. When I could not rent anywhere, we were looking to purchase. The stores said they would have to order the navy blue suits but the tailors were also behind schedule. We found navy blue suits at Von Maur that were available between 2 different locations. The tailor at Von Maur said their normal time frame would be the following Friday, which would have been in time for the wedding but we were leaving on Wednesday to go back to Des Moines for the wedding and pre-events.

The Black Tux was a last resort and luckily Von Maur came through. The tailor was able to get our navy blue suits by Tuesday just in time for us to leave. The Black Tux agreed to give a full refund on 7/7/2021. Other than the wedding, I did not have a need to buy the suit, thus I was renting, expecting to pay about $150 per person. The suits that we were able to get ended up costing $760 per person after tax. This was a lot more money than we anticipated spending, not to mention all of the stress and time that I had to waste dealing with The Black Tux.

I trusted the positive reviews on some websites but I should have looked deeper. The Black Tux has an F with the Better Business Bureau. I filed a complaint with the BBB to try to get a resolution from The Black Tux, but they never responded to the BBB either.

Whatever you do, do not trust your special events to The Black Tux! Do additional research, I'm confident that you will find other reviews with other bad experiences.

Worst service imaginable

Stay as far away from this company as possible. Their employee was an hour late to our original consultation. They took 5 weeks to respond to an email and have already pushed back delivery date for our orders. We realized our mistake and asked for a refund a month before the wedding. Nope. They will only issue account credit, which of course we will never use. So, in short, they take your money and run. If you want to eliminate stress from your wedding, do not use this company.

Horrible customer service

By Patti F., Greenville, SC, Verified Reviewer

My husband was in a wedding in Hawaii the week after Thanksgiving. Due to COVID restrictions, we didn't find out until a week before the wedding that he would actually be able to attend. We ordered his tux as soon as we found out (on 11/24) and were assured his tux would be delivered on 11/26. It wasn't delivered until 12/1 with the wedding being on 12/2. My parents had to overnight ship it to Hawaii. We had to pay a holding fee at UPS in Hawaii and then pay to check it on the plane back since the box wouldn't fit in our suitcase.

When we contacted the company about this they said they were unable to give us our money back due to it being ordered around a major holiday. I understand it being right before Thanksgiving that we ordered it, but we did it as soon as we could and we were guaranteed multiple different times that it would arrive by a certain date when it didn't (first on 11/26, then on 11/30).

I am beyond frustrated at the lack of customer support offered by this company. So, now we have paid almost $600 for this suit, including all of the shipping to get it to us and then home, when all of that could have been prevented. Not to mention, none of the items fit my husband well. We will not be using them again and will definitely not recommend them to anyone getting married.
