About The Kerry Gaynor Method
Created by hypnotherapist Kerry Gaynor, The Kerry Gaynor Method claims to be a simple, innovative, doctor-recommended smoking cessation program developed over the last 33 years that has helped thousands of patients quit smoking and start living.
In fact, The Kerry Gaynor Method claims to have an 85% success rate, and is endorsed (without payment) by celebrities such as Martin Sheen, Heather Locklear, Kevin Pollack, Aaron Eckhart, and more.
In order to accomplish this, The Kerry Gaynor Method is claimed to use a series of one-hour DVDs that help smokers change the way they think about smoking and addiction, without resorting to nicotine replacement products such as patches, gums, or e-cigarettes.
And once you’ve quit, The Method’s website claims you might experience improved circulation, lower blood pressure, reduced risk of heart attacks, and more.
You know that smoking is bad for your health, and you want to quit. After all, who wants to smell like an ashtray and have their skin age prematurely? But most of all, you want to live your life and enjoy it for as long as possible.
So can you realistically expect the hypnosis used in the Kerry Gaynor Method help you accomplish this? We’ll get to that in a moment. But first, let’s take a look at how The Method claims to work.
What Happens During The Kerry Gaynor Method?
The Kerry Gaynor Method is comprised of three, 1-hour DVDs, the first 40 minutes of which involve therapy sessions used with all of Kerry’s in-person patients, while the final 20 minutes involve a direct hypnotherapy session.
The Method’s website claims that the program lasts a total of 10-14 days, which begins by watching the first session in a calm, uninterrupted atmosphere, and then watching the second session 5-7 days later. At that point, you’ll transition to a non-smoker, and will then watch the third DVD 5-7 days thereafter. Once you’ve completed the third session, The Kerry Gaynor Method website claims that you’ll be guaranteed to be a non-smoker for life.
The Kerry Gaynor Method also includes a supplemental DVD filled with three individual tracks that will support you if you’re having difficulty not smoking, and their companion iOS and Android apps are claimed to feature other support tools such as a smoking calculator, audio sessions, tracking and reminders, and more.
How Does the Kerry Gaynor Method Claim to Work?
According to the product’s website, The Kerry Gaynor Method was designed to be as simple as possible, and only involves watching the DVDs as instructed. During this time, these DVDs are claimed to use practices such as:
- Synaptic Pathway Hacking & Neuroplasticity – Based on the premise that your mind can be “molded,” The Kerry Gaynor Method is claimed to cause you to think differently about smoking on a physical level.
- Cognitive Psychology – Uses mental processes such as "attention, language use, memory, perception, problem solving, creativity, and thinking,” to change your behaviors. In fact, based on the company’s internal testing, program has been shown to activate certain parts of the brain, such as the precuneus, which is an area responsible for mental imagery and memory about oneself.
- Metacognition – An “awareness and understanding of one's own thought processes.”
Using these techniques, the company claims that the majority of people (85%) they tested did not crave cigarettes at any point from Session 2 onward.
Important note: Although the above terms sound scientific (and they are), they’re extraordinarily broad categories, and really don’t tell you much about the specific content contained in The Method. In other words, the program’s website might as well have said, “We use your brain to help you quit smoking.”
Also, “success” is an objective word, and it’s not made clear on The Method’s website what this was defined as. For example, does this mean that 85% of customers quit for a specific length of time, or did it just involve refusing a cigarette during the company’s testing? Obviously, what you define as “success” can have a huge impact on your statistics.
With this in mind, the Kerry Gaynor Method is claimed to be 100% natural and safe, with no known side effects.
Can Hypnosis Help You Quit Smoking?
As with any other smoking cessation methods, the answer to this question is: sometimes. WebMD sums it up nicely by writing:
“Hypnosis, in general, does not work for everyone. About one in four people are not able to be hypnotized. When successful, the intensity of hypnosis can vary from person to person.
How well hypnosis works to help people stop smoking depends on who you ask. Study results have been mixed. In 2010, a systematic review of published studies found that there wasn't enough evidence to support the use of hypnosis. Another review published in 2012 said that studies do support a possible benefit from the use of hypnosis. In discussing alternative methods for quitting smoking on its web site, the American Cancer Society says that while controlled studies have not supported the effectiveness of hypnosis, there is anecdotal evidence that some people have been helped.”
In short, this means that even among the 75% of the population who can be hypnotized, it may not always represent a viable method of quitting smoking.
Are Other Consumers Having Success with The Kerry Gaynor Method?
Despite its popularity, there aren’t a whole lot of online customer reviews available for The Kerry Gaynor Method. However, among those that are available, The Method appears to have an almost wholly positive reputation.
With this said, by far the most common compliment was that the program teaches you actionable methods to put a stop to the thought processes that can lead to smoking. In fact, many customers who previously failed to quit using other hypnosis methods claimed to have found success with The Kerry Gaynor Method.
Is The Kerry Gaynor Method Doctor Recommended?
In several places on the Kerry Gaynor Method website, the program is claimed to be doctor recommended “by doctors and dentists” worldwide, although no additional information is provided to clarify this statement.
However, the reality is that you could have one doctor recommend your product, and then claim it’s doctor-recommended, even if you paid for the recommendation. Note: We are not saying this is the case with the Kerry Gaynor Method, and only use this as an example to outline the wide variety of definitions that could be assigned to the term “doctor recommended.”
The Kerry Gaynor Method Pricing & Refund Policy
The Kerry Gaynor Method is priced at 1 payment of $99.95 or 3 payments of $33.32. Standard shipping is priced at $5.95, with additional options available at higher prices.
The Kerry Gaynor Method comes with a 60-day money back guarantee, less S&H charges, which you can take advantage of by calling (877) 370-6423.
Can The Kerry Gaynor Method Help Save Your Life?
Chopping to the Point: Nicotine is one of the most physically addictive substances on earth, and while stopping smoking is difficult, the hardest part is often staying quit for the long haul. And The Kerry Gaynor Method seems to address this by changing the way we think about smoking, so that we avoid the triggers that can lead to a relapse.
The Kerry Gaynor Method appears to have helped a lot of people quit smoking (including numerous celebrities who endorsed the program unpaid), although the biggest indicator of whether or not it will work appears to be if you’re susceptible to hypnosis. If you’re not though, the company does offer a straightforward 60-day return policy.
I am a nonsmoker and I love it. 3 and a half months and $750 dollars later. 1800 cigarettes not smoked. 4 to 5 teaspoons of black poisonous tar I have not ingested.
Awesome, Thank you so much. My wife is a non-smoker now as well.
I have received in 3 months over 10 times what I paid for the program in money alone. I smoked 15 cigarettes a day $9 per pack. I love being free.
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I ordered this on 1-12-2016 and I did not expect it to work because I have tried it all at this point. I am 55 and started smoking at age 12. I did exactly as it said to do and after the second session I threw out my cigarettes and it's been seven months since I've last smoked. I don't even think about them anymore. My friends were amazed. I have lent it to another friend and she has not had one in 4 months. It's the best money I have ever spent.
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
