About The Kruncher
Lee Reherman, aka “The Sarge” is an angry new face of The Kruncher, which he claims to be the Ultimate Ab Machine. According to the website, using The Kruncher is 2X the benefit of a normal sit-up and is good for both beginners and trained athletes.
The Kruncher is sold by Healthfit, Inc which is not accredited by the Better Business Bureau. Based in Cullman, Alabama it has been in business since 2007. The product itself, however, seems to have been introduced in 2013. There is very little information on the product outside of its own hype.
How The Kruncher Works
Basically, The Kruncher is a portable workout device with a patented hinge device that gives it 3 levels of resistance. Its wide U-shaped base and extension arms are padded so it can be used around your neck, on your lap, in a chair, or on the floor as you work your midsection. Use it on your upper-or-lower abs, do hip flexors or obliques depending on your position. As your strength increases, you can adjust to a higher setting for a greater workout.
The device is portable, which means you can take it wherever you need to - on a work break perhaps. The Sarge says using The Kruncher for just 5 minutes a day, you will “burn calories and build lean muscle”.
Each kit comes with:
- The Kruncher
- Nylon Carrying Bag
- Users Guide & Core Exercises
- Ultimate 5 Minute Ab Workout DVD
- Krunch Away the Pounds Healthy Meal Guide
- Fitness Ain’t Brain Surgery Fitness Book
- 60-Day Money Back Guarantee
The Kruncher Pricing and Refund Policy
You can either purchase The Kruncher with 2 payments of $29.95 plus $14.95 S&H or one payment of $59.90 and $9.95 S&H. There is a 60-day refund policy (minus S&H) and a toll-free number (866) 959-7922 where you can talk to a real-live person if you have any problems.
They promise to ship the product within 30 days of purchase, but the 60-day return policy doesn’t activate until you receive it. You must phone customer service for a RMA number before returning The Kruncher.
Bottom Line: Is The Kruncher a Scam?
Is The Sarge ripping you off? We’re going to give it a qualified “no”. Healthfit will deliver you this machine, and return your money if not satisfied. The lack of chatter on the web is partly due to its newness on the market, but the company itself seems to be legit.
That said, can you really get 6-pack abs working out just 5 minutes a day? It is extremely doubtful, otherwise we’d all be walking around with perfect bods! The Sarge is just a hired spokesman who certainly did more than use The Kruncher to get buff. (Another telling sign is the lack of convincing before and after pics on the website.)
But if you do buy it, use it regularly along with a good diet, you will see results in a stronger, more toned mid-section - but that’s just common sense. There are a lot of better ways to get fit with portable equipment that won’t hit you as hard in the pocketbook (jumprope, anyone?) Unless you like being a pioneer, you are better off spending your fitness money on a more versatile product that has proven results.

I've gone through a third one, but the right side keeps breaking. I hear a big snap then nothing, and that's with normal use. I'm am in a wheelchair and need upper ab strength. They have defects and are running out of replacements.
Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Finally a workout product that you will use
This product was designed for people of all ages and abilities from a beginner to an extreme workout enthusiast. I work out a lot and this device can be easy or it can kick your butt depending on what tension and how you use it.
What I love about it is that instead of sitting doing nothing while watching TV I just grab the Kruncher and start working my abs. The reason it is for everyone is that you do not have to get on the ground to use it so even people with back problems or older people and by older I mean even people in their 80s and 90s can get their abs in shape. You can sit on a chair or couch and go at it anytime you feel like it because it's so light and portable. It is never a bother to keep it right next to you and ready to use at anytime.
Now If you want a real tough workout put it on tension 3 and try crunching and lifting your legs at the same time and I don't care how good of shape you are in you won't last long! What's amazing is that you can use it to workout other parts of the body which they don't even show in the commercial. I work my biceps and triceps when I get tired of working my abs.
I also took it on vacation and normally unless there is a gym I won't do abs because I do not want to get down on the carpets in the hotel rooms. I just sat in a chair and worked my abs with the Kruncher. It was great! I also love the carrying bag it came with.
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
