Unreliable and dishonest company

By Ann , New York

I had very bad experience when I purchased several products from Tommie Copper.

  1. The sales person made a mistake in the invoice and overcharged. Had I not picked it up, they would have profited.
  2. I returned most things except one item but they claimed that I had not returned five items. I lost because they won't refund me the full amount. I kept one item but paid for five instead.
  3. Once you send items, there is no proof what they claim was received back in the warehouse.'
  4. The discount they offer on their sleeves was not prorated as I returned one of them.

All in all, I lost out because of their dishonesty. They can not be trusted. This sort of a thing would not happen, if it was a major store like Macy's.

How do I prove what I had returned? Watch out!

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Tommie Copper mad me boo

By Johnny , San Diego, CA

I'm a 26 year old male and experience gluteal pain. My bum has been exposed to severe heat and therefore I have developed bum bum pain. I decided to try the Tommie Copper bum hugger, as I was interested in providing compression to my inner bum bum. Tommie Copper made my bum hurt more that it did before I started using it.

The compression feels good on my bum for a little bit, but after a while its just too much.

Hope that helps.

It worked for me.

By German Cuellar, Melville, NY, Verified Reviewer

I had to shine my review here in pro of these products because they do wonders for me, and I couldn't believe they can be labeled as scam. The first product I ordered was the knee sleeve. When I would go to the gym and to do my usual runs, after 5 minutes I would start to experience pain in the knee that didn't allow me to run any longer. After trying different "solutions" I decided to give a shot to the Tommie products. Got to tell you, wearing that sleeve made all the difference, it was like a miracle, I could actually finish my run and whole routine. I decided to order more sleeves and also recommended them to my friends.

I ordered and paid for the ankle brace over two months ago. I haven't received any product and the company won't respond back.

Yes, it is a very good product and I'm loving it still after 2 years.

By Monyette , Palmdale, CA

I was 48 at the time I stared wearing Tommie Copper wear weighing 250lbs. Even though I wanted to be healthy, I also was pushing for a beach body with no energy, a poor immune system and a sore back. Tommie Copper wear not only made it more comfortable for me to pull through exercises for beginners, it also got me throw the Shawn T programs and weight training. So what works for some won't work for everyone. And on top of it all, people wear clothes through the day. So I believe that could cause problems when you don't use products in a safe manner. Be sure to take this stuff off when you're done using it.

Don't take the wrong pill

By Dave , Florida

The copper, I have this knee brace, darn shame I threw away the packaging or I would have sent it back. The brace part works and believe it or not any cheap knee brace at your local Walmart or CVS or Walgreens will work just as good for a lot less money. As far as the copper, if people actually think it works, get two pre 1982 which contain 95% pure copper and use a little Velcro and attach those pennies your knee, arm, head or where ever you like as its a lot cheaper than the "Copper Product being advertised on TV. I would read the harmful effects of copper before I would believe in this back yard science.

Quality of the product

By Rhonda Flint , Natural Bridge, VA

I bought two pairs of women's tights, one shirt and a pair of socks. I had a hole in one pair of my tights. So far, considering I only have them for 8 months, and having only wore them about 20 times, for what they cost I don't think they held up very good. And the socks where way too tight, I couldn't wear them. The tights and shirt did make my joints feel better while working out, just didn't hold up very well for the price. Just two pair of tights and shirt were 69x2+49=$187.

Compression is good, but it's nothing new here

By Anonymous , Houston, TX

As an active cyclist, I've been wearing compression gear on my legs during and after competition for years and it does aid in recovery. The Tommie Copper stuff is fine, but is no better than 2XU, which has been in the business of compression for many years. I simply have an issue with the exaggerated claims in the commercials, specifically the rodeo rider ad. The riders claims that by simply wearing the Tommie Copper compression shirt, his old shoulder injury (that limited his range of motion and some of his strength) has practically disappeared. By wearing a t-shirt, this kind of thing just doesn't happen. It's false advertising. Period. Compression is good and another (decent) product in the mix helps keep competition up and manufacturers on point. That being said, don't believe everything you hear or read.

It worked for me but...

By Ellen , Vancouver, BC

I have had issues with my IT band and knee for a while. There are nights when the throbbing pain in my knee wakes me from my sleep. I tried the Tommie Copper knee sleeve and it provided relief as soon as I put it on. I slept through the night and only started to feel some aching around 5 am which was a vast improvement before I wore the knee sleeve. Unfortunately, I developed a severe reaction around the band as per the package indicated may happen due to the silicone. I had to return the product. I followed the instructions in their policy and received my refund today. It took about three weeks from the time I mailed the package, but I am shipping from Western Canada to Orange County, so I think that is not bad. I regret that I had to return the product as it did seem to work for me. It was worth the try. I have since found another compression sleeve without silicone that also seems to do the trick.

Works on my Knee Pain

By David , Mesa, AZ

I've had tendonitis in my knee since being hit by a car for over 10 years ago. I've suffered through numerous injections to deaden the pain somewhat. I've recently gotten back into the gym and the pain was extremely annoying. I bought the knee brace on Amazon (free 2 day shipping) and it was different than I expected, not really a compression sleeve like I'm used to but more a nylon stocking with a top and bottom band. I must say I was very skeptical but I figured for $27 I'd give it a try. To my surprise I felt relief by the end of the first day, nothing amazing but a real relief in the pain. My pain is mostly inflammation and however it work is beyond me but it does work, I wear it all day except when I sleep. It is cool and comfortable except the upper band has a rubber ring on the inside to keep it from slipping that does bug me a little from time to time. I was also worried about a copper reaction on my skin since I can't wear metal jewelry or anything like that but so far so good.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
