About Total Pillow

Total Pillow claims to be an amazing versatile pillow that will cradle you in comfort. They say their circular pillow-with-a-hole-in-the-middle can twist and lock into any shape, is filled with tension-easing microbeads, and will help you get comfy no matter if you are at home, in the office, or on a long car trip.

Total Pillow is brought to you by Product Trend, a direct marketing company based in Willison, VT. They are not accredited by the BBB and currently have an F rating; this is due to 350 complaints filed against the business within the last 3 years, 1 of which was not resolved.

How Total Pillow Works

Total Pillow looks like a brown flower with 12 petals, dark on one side and tan on the other;  its center is hollow. They claim the secret is its versatility – they say it can twist and lock into place  and support you in 5 different ways: neck, spine, lumbar, shoulder, or leg. They boast this makes it the equivalent of 5 pillows in one. They add that it is filled with something they call “tension-easing microbeads” but offer no other specifics.

To use Total PIllow grab by its “petals” and twist into any shape; they say it can then be used for lower back support while at the computer and when you fold it in half, they claim it gives you double support while watching TV. They say unlike a regular bed pillow that loses its “poof”, you can use Total Pillow on your neck, ankles, and knees to help you sleep.

They also claim you can use Total Pillow for travel. They state unlike regular U-shaped travel pillows that feel rough and flimsy, Total Pillow has a super soft exterior they say will double the support on a plane or train. They claim you can even sit on your Total Pillow for long trips in the truck or car. They add it’s the only pillow that locks onto your suitcase.

They claim kids love Total Pillow for games or long car rides. Several people who appear to be shoppers at a mall try Total Pillow. They bend it, place behind their head, and remark how they like its softness and malleability. A few even say they could fall asleep right there because the Total Pillow makes them feel that relaxed.

Total Pillow includes:

  • Total Pillow
  • One “free” Total Pillow (extra S & H)
  • 2 Hot/Cold Total Compress packs
  • 2 Fleece Compress covers

Total Pillow Pricing, Shipping, and Returns

They state Total Pillow is $19.99 plus $7.95 shipping, but they automatically double your order “free” (and charge you an additional $7.95 in fees) making the total $35.89. They also add 2 Hot/Cold Total Compress packs with Fleece covers. They say you have 30 days to try Total Pillow. If you don’t find yourself instantly cozy like the people in the infomercial, you can return the pillows for your $19.99 back, but not the $15.90 in fees. (However, they say you can keep the Total Compresses/covers as a “gift”.)

Bottom Line: Is Total Pillow a Scam?

The reviews are generally positive for Total Pillow, although some claim it is too firm. If you do a lot of traveling or have neck and back issues, this might prove to offer relief. Just keep in mind that this is an "As Seen on TV" product and those usually contain non-refundable shipping and processing charges. Those charges could be easily avoided by purchasing the Total Pillow at your local Wal-Mart or Walgreens when it becomes available.
