About Tricovel

Using a combination of natural ingredients and the Biogenina patented formula, Tricovel is a “breakthrough” hair treatment that’s clinically proven to contribute to normal hair growth, structure, and volume.

Want to slow down your hair loss? How about improve your hair’s structure and volume? Tricovel’s time-release formula stimulates hair follicles to counteract hair loss, and is guaranteed to provide visible results in as little as 8 weeks.

All you have to do is take one tablet of Tricovel each day, preferably with food. And unlike other hair loss treatments, you won’t lose your results if you stop taking the supplement!

As a woman, it can be devastating when you realize that your hair is thinning. But will Tricovel permanently reverse your hair loss, or are you being sold a bunch of lies?

To begin, we’ll take a look at what Biogenina is, the ingredients it contains, and whether or not you can expect it to work as advertised.

What is Biogenina? Is It an Effective Treatment for Hair Loss?

Biogenina is a proprietary supplement created by Giuliani Anti-Hair Loss Research based out of Milano, Italy. According to the company, it is “rich in micronutrients, vitamins and minerals: in particular, it contains biotin, that helps to maintain hair normal, vitamin C, vitamin E, zinc and copper.”

Are any of these effective for treating hair loss? In short, it depends on what’s causing your hair loss in the first place. Why?

If you’re a woman, there can be dozens of causes of hair loss, including stress, hormonal changes (especially during and after pregnancy), poor diet, vitamin and mineral deficiencies, genetics, and much more. And despite the perception that hair loss is strictly a male problem, up to 40% of women will experience it at some point in their lives.

Of these causes, Tricovel is only intended to address “hair problems after a period of stress, change of seasons or unbalanced diet.”

So, if you’re deficient in some of the vitamins contained in Tricovel, then it may be able to normalize your vitamin levels and improve the quality of your hair.

However, if you suffer from female pattern baldness (the most common cause of hair loss in women), or thinning hair due to some other medical condition, Tricovel almost certainly won’t boost growth or volume.

Pro tip: We’re still not told how much of each ingredient Tricovel contains. So even though they might be effective in some instances, there’s no way to know how much is in the supplement, or if it’s enough to provide any benefits.

What about Tricovel’s “clinically proven” claim?

Is Tricovel Clinically Proven?

In a clinical study of 60 patients who took the supplement for 2 months, Tricovel claims to have caused a 57% increase in hair shaft diameter, a 75% decrease in hair loss, and a 20% increase in hair growth.

Unfortunately, Giuliani provides no evidence to back up these claims, and a copy of the study wasn’t available on any third-party websites for review.

Just to reiterate, though: Even if Tricovel did provide the amazing benefits cited in their study, all of the study’s patients were experiencing hair loss caused by “stress, imbalanced diet, [or a] change in the season”—not from female pattern baldness or any other genetic or medical conditions.

Ok, so Tricovel might provide some hair benefits if you’re deficient in some key vitamins and minerals. But is the supplement safe?

Tricovel’s Side Effects

Despite its limited effectiveness for regrowing hair, Tricovel’s ingredients should be well tolerated by most users.

It’s important to note that, “in some people, zinc might cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, metallic taste, kidney and stomach damage, and other side effects.” And in doses over 40mg, zinc can decrease the amount of copper absorbed by the body.

Again, we’re not told how much of each ingredient Tricovel contains, or what kinds of side effects you can expect based on their dosing.

What we are told about, however, is Tricovel’s price, which is what we’ll cover next.

How Much Does Tricovel Cost?

A 1-month supply (30 tablets) of Tricovel will cost you $29.99 plus $8.95 S&H.

Tricovel also comes with a 60-day refund policy, less S&H charges. In order to request one, you’ll need to contact customer service at 888-321-7354.

Pro tip: If you call to place your order, the Tricovel commercial mentions that you can inquire about their Fortifying Shampoo. There’s no mention of this product on the Tricovel website, although you can learn a little more here.

Keep in mind that this is listed as a complementary (read: free) product, although you’ll probably pay an additional—and non-refundable—S&H charge if you decide to order.

Is Tricovel the Right Hair Loss Treatment for You?

Here’s the bottom line about Tricovel: If your hair loss is caused by vitamin deficiency or stress, it’s technically possible that the ingredients it contains can help improve hair quality.

But if your hair loss is caused by any other factors, such as genetics, medical conditions, medications, etc., then your money will almost certainly be better spent having a conversation with your doctor. This is something we covered in-depth in Everything You Need To Know About Hair Loss Supplements In 5 Easy Steps.

Even if your hair loss is caused by vitamin deficiency though—like many other hair loss products and nutritional supplements we’ve reviewed—we’re not told how much of each ingredient Tricovel contains. As a result, you’re basically rolling the dice that the supplement will contain enough to make a positive difference in the quality of your hair.

Our recommendation? Make an appointment with your doctor to discuss your hair loss. In the mean time, you can try switching out your shampoo, trying different scalp treatments, taking a standard multivitamin (which might provide the same nutrients as Tricovel, but at a much lower cost), and more!

I have been taking Tricovel for 2 weeks now, and did notice my hair getting thicker. But I still wasn't sure, I thought it may just be wishful thinking. I went to my hairdresser of 30 years and she asked me what I was doing? She said that my hair was way thicker than the last time it was trimmed 6 months ago. I was so exited! I am 63 years old, taking medication for heart issues and my hair was so thin compared to what it was from 18-50. I have been very unhappy, it truly does something to your self-esteem. I could not be happier now and neither will you.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
