How the Turbo Roaster Works
Turbo Roaster consists of what appears to be a glass jar and a metal pipe. You place liquid inside the jar and then place the pipe inside the bird as you roast it. The Turbo Roaster’s “vapor infusion” technology draws heat and moisture from the jar into the bird, helping to cook it from the inside out while infusing it with moisture.
It claims to roast chicken and turkey, even when stuffed, in half the time it would normally take to roast them.

- Claims to save you cooking time and also infuse moisture into poultry
- The website and video do not explain what materials the Turbo Roaster are made of and the device looks cheap in the videos. It looks like a regular small glass jar with cheap metal piping coming out of the lid. It looks like something that a person could easily make at home with relatively little trouble. The materials are probably much less than the actual product costs.
- Appears to only work for poultry
I got the turbo roaster today for around $6 bucks but I'm returning it after reading the reviews and on top of that it looks cheap to me in person and I don't want the aggravation.
Disappointed. On our first use, my husband went to take the turbo roaster out of the oven and the jar came out in two pieces with the bottom of the jar separating from the body of the glass container. I would try again if cheap replacement jar was found. Tasted good, moist, and some reduction in cook time.
I purchased a unit based on a segment I saw on one of the morning news programs. Three supposedly professional chefs tried three fast-cook contraptions for cooking a 12 lb. turkey in an hour. All three were given high marks on the outcome. I followed the directions exactly for a 12 lb turkey, which basically was to cook at 450 for 20 minutes, and then at 425 for 40 minutes. We thought that was an excessively high temperature, but that's what was recommended. The top part of the breast was overcooked and dry, and the rest of the turkey was all but raw.
We will try again, but definitely at a lower temperature for a longer period. The concept may be good, but their directions, if followed, will lead to a wasted bird.
AVOID these CROOKS at all costs!
FIrst, in the tiniest type possible on home page you are told the deal includes a "bonus" knife and infuser. It costs in fact another S&H of $7.95. If you missed that or did not mind that, you will click Process Order--there is no opportunity to review the order before it is made. On the next page you are told you can get up to 3 more Turbos for just the S&H of $7.95 S&H each--a common feature of such TV offers. I selected 2 for Xmas gifts. I saw nothing about getting more "bonus" knives and infusers and paying another $7.95 for each, but they tacked those on too. I refused all other offers. Then I got an order summary showing I am charged $117 as shown below. When I called Customer Service I was told that the extra roasters were reduced to $14.95, plus S&H for each--not S&H only. I know that is not true, but, I was charged FULL price for the 2 extras. You can't go back to check the offers without ordering again.
I ordered Sunday night and called early on Monday and it was too late to cancel, she claimed it had already shipped. All I could get from these crooks is the $10 difference for the 2 extra turbos. refunded.
AVOID! these crooks and warn your friends. this junk item will be sold in the stores soon I am sure.
Only 1 review appeared, and it was not favorable. I ordered and after reading only review I also had problems canceling my order
I think this is a rip off company. I ordered a turbo roaster 10/31/13 but then I had second thoughts and called to cancel the order. All day I tried canceling but they kept telling me to call back in a few hours because they had not recieved my order just yet.
The last time I called was at about 8:30 on the 31st and was told to call back in the morning. The next morning I just did and had asked them to cancel BUT they told me it had already been shipped and now I am responsible for the charge of returning it.
I am so angry with them about this and just want to warn other people what may happen if they want to cancel an order . BUYER BEWARE.
