About Xtreme Power Belt

Made for men and women, Xtreme Power Belt is an adjustable device that’s claimed to help you instantly look 2 sizes slimmer while increasing sweating, providing lower back support, and correcting your posture. In addition, Xtreme Power Belt’s dual action compression is claimed to also help you “sweat the pounds away while compressing your abs for a gorgeous hourglass shape.”

Despite these benefits, Xtreme Power Belt is claimed to be unnoticeable under your clothes, which means it’s perfect for all occasions, whether exercising, running errands, or going out for the night.

Instantly achieve an ideal shape and lose weight in the process? Sounds like a no-brainer, right? But is this what the Xtreme Power Belt really offers, or is it a bunch of marketing hype? Consider the following:

Can Xtreme Power Belt Help You Lose Weight?

Similar to other “belts” we’ve reviewed here at HighYa, including V-Shape Trainer Belt and Hot Belt, Xtreme Power Belt claims to instantly give you an ideal shape while helping you to sweat off extra pounds.

From a shape perspective, these types of belts essentially act as a corset, which simply holds the torso in a specific shape for aesthetic purposes. As such, you can probably expect Xtreme Power Belt to provide some level of shaping.

On the other hand, the general consensus is that these types of belts (or the Osmotic Rolls included in your XPB order—more about this in a moment) do not provide any kind of weight loss benefits. Sure, they’ll probably make you sweat more than if you weren’t wearing them, but the fact of the matter is that the weight you lose through sweating is simply due to lost water and electrolytes, which you’ll immediately gain back as soon as you quench your thirst.

In short, while the Xtreme Power Belt might provide some “slimming” shape, it almost certainly won’t help you lose weight.

Can You Wear Xtreme Power Belt Wherever You Go?

Next, despite the manufacturer’s claims that the Xtreme Power Belt can be worn unnoticeably underneath all of your clothes, we have some serious doubts about how well this will work out. Why?

As you can see from the picture below, the belt appears to be relatively bulky, which might be fine if you’re hanging out around the house in your sweatpants. However, if you’re going to wear anything more form fitting, you’re almost certainly going to look rather lumpy—which probably isn’t the look you’re going for.

Will Xtreme Power Belt Cause Any Side Effects?

Because Xtreme Power Belt drops down from back to front, it likely won’t compress your lungs, so you likely won’t have to worry about shortness of breath. Obviously, this largely depends on your physiology and how tightly you decide to cinch the belt.

Xtreme Power Belt’s Ability to Provide Lower Back Support

Keep in mind that although Xtreme Power Belt could reasonably provide some level of lower back support, whether or not this will be sufficient to ease your lower back pain depends largely on your individual diagnosis.

As such, be sure to read through our article Winning the Battle Against Sciatica & Chronic Back Pain before placing your Xtreme Power Belt order.

Other Shaping / Weight Loss Belts

Finally, as we mentioned in the first section, there are dozens of similar options as the Xtreme Power Belt available online, as well as at a local big box retailers. As such, if you’re dead set on trying one of these weight loss belts (despite the lack of evidence showing they work), we would strongly recommend exploring options near you first.

Customer Feedback for Xtreme Power Belt

Xtreme Power Belt was a very new product at the time of our research (URL registered March 2015) and there weren’t any online customer reviews available.

However, we did learn that Xtreme Power Belt is manufactured by Smart Products Corp based out of Doral, FL. The company holds an A rating with the Better Business Bureau with 45 closed complaints (as of 5/12/15), most of which appear to reference difficulty obtaining refunds.

While you may not experience the same with Xtreme Power Belt, you might want to keep it in mind before placing your order.

Xtreme Power Belt Pricing & Refund Policy

Xtreme Power Belt is available in men’s and women’s sizes S-XL and is priced at $89 plus free shipping. With your order, you’ll also receive 2 Thermo Xtreme Osmotic Rolls (basically saran wrap).

All Xtreme Power Belts come with a 15-day refund policy, less S&H charges. In order to request a refund, you’ll need to contact customer service at (800) 379-8050.

Should You Buy the Xtreme Power Belt?

Chopping to the point: Considering the lack of clinical evidence showing that these types of belts can help you lose weight, as well as the fact that Xtreme Power Belt is lumpy and will almost certainly be visible underneath your clothes, it doesn’t appear to be ideal for shedding pounds or for slimming in most instances.

As such, we might strongly recommend researching all your options before placing your Xtreme Power Belt order.

    Rip Off

I received mine today. It's an ordinary $20 belt that they tried to sell me for $269. I said that was ridiculous, so they lowered it to $140! Now that I know all this, I feel used and violated. They are stealing, harassing, and stalking customers. Something needs to be done.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

    Very bad experience

    • Oakland Ca,
    • Aug 30, 2015

It's just a regular belt. And on television they never say it is plastic wrap they send with the belt. After ordering my credit card was used a lot in different places. This is a total scam. Would not recommend it at all. Total fraud. If I would have known what I was ordering I would have just bought a regular working belt. With food plastic wrap.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

    It sucks

    • Puerto Rico,

For the amount I paid I would've like a better product for the wrap. It's so hard to put on, with the wrap sticking to the sides and ripping off. Wish I could get my money back.

America Directo Corp misrepresntation and a scam

    • Puerto Rico,
    • Aug 25, 2015

I received a call from them, I asked if they represent a local Program at PR selling the belt. They answered yes, and it was their first lie. Then the price was double the cost of one of our local programs, they charged 169.00 to my credit card. An when I confronted them for a refund there was no response, no answer to my calls. The belt came in a non secure wrap, opened not sealed, and for health security this is a offense and constitutes a violation. FDA should investigate before a horrible situation occurs.

    Horrible

The customer service people and the supervisors hide themselves when you want to call them to make a claim. Very bad service, they hang up if they know your number. Specially all the staff from Florida. They don't want to return my money back. I'm very angry with them.

The Xtreme Power Belt is garbage and the company is run by scammers

    • San Diego, CA,
    • Jun 25, 2015

The gist of it is that I ordered the Xtreme Power Belt and when it arrived, I was dissatisfied with the purchase, so I called back to have them refund my money. The person to whom I was talking to made it impossible for me to get my refund. This is a joke, seeing that I was not happy with the product, which does not function as they say it does. Bottom line is that you should not waste your money buying this over priced orange garbage belt.

These people are a scam and stalkers.

    • Orlando, FL,
    • Jun 18, 2015

I called once last month to see how it goes, me and the guy went to an agreement to not purchase, for personal reasons. After that until two minutes ago, I been receiving threats and ongoing calls to my cell phone, harassing even at 3-4am. The last call was two minutes ago, and the guy screamed at me. Saying that if I don't buy it, there will be consequences. Really? They call me from 3 different phone numbers, all starting with "786".

I phoned them to ask for a price they told me $200.00 and after negotiating hey wanted $150. I think it is too expensive and they are stockers. They call me several times like I owe them money. They want me to confirm a money order.
