About Yes! By Finishing Touch

Ideal for both men and women, the Yes! by Finishing Touch claims to be an “instant, pain free hair remover.” The device uses advanced Sensa-Light technology to easily remove hair from all parts of your body in one step, while effortlessly following your contours for the best hair removal experience possible.

The Yes! device is manufactured by Idea Village based out of Wayne, NJ, who currently holds an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau, although uncredited. According to their BBB profile, most of their 152 closed complaints appear to reference poor quality products and ineffective customer service. Regarding the Yes! device specifically, there were few online customer reviews as of this writing. However, this seems to be in line with the fact that the product’s URL was only registered in November 2013, and the its trademark was recently approved in March 2014. With this in mind, various publicly available sources display that the Finishing Touch line of beauty products appear have an evenly mixed online reputation, with the most common complaints citing poor quality, and that they do not work as well as advertised.

How Yes! by Finishing Touch Works

Similar to EpiTouch, Silk’N Flash&Go, and NoNo Pro, the Yes! by Finishing Touch is a hair removal beauty device that can be used anywhere on your body, and claims to help you avoid painful, smelly removal methods, such as waxing, laser, or electrolysis.

According to the manufacturer, the Yes! device is different from the competition due to its proprietary Sensa-Light heads, which are designed to last 60-90 days, depending on how often it’s used, as well as the thickness of your hair. Also, when compared to other devices, Yes! by Finishing Touch can be used by both men and women. However, keep in mind that it is only intended to be used while dry (e.g. not in the shower).

When you’re ready to begin using your Yes!, simply turn the device on and wait until the front LEDs flash in 0.5 second intervals, which signals that it’s ready. Then, simply apply the Yes! By Finishing Touch to the area you wish to remove hair from, and it will begin working. When you’re finished, remove the device from your skin, and it will “sleep” after six seconds of inactivity.

Each Yes! device comes with a carrying case, rechargeable Lithium Ion battery, and a 39" charger cord. The company claims that the Deluxe model also comes with an AC adapter, though we were unable to locate this option during the checkout process.

Yes! by Finishing Touch Pricing & Refund Policy

The Yes! by Finishing Touch is currently available only through the manufacturer, and is priced at $39.99 plus $7.99 shipping and handling.

All Yes! devices come with a 60-day money back guarantee (though there is some confusion about this—see next section), which includes you original S&H, in addition to return S&H back to the company. To begin the process, simply contact customer service at 877-206-6764 or [email protected]

Bottom Line: Is Yes! by Finishing Touch a Scam?

If you’re thinking about purchasing a Yes! by Finishing Touch device, keep in mind that it is a very new product, therefore online customer reviews are essentially non-existent. On top of this, the Yes! device is an “As Seen on TV” product, which tend to carry lower levels of customer satisfaction that more mainstream products. With this said, the Finishing Touch line of beauty products is fairly popular, and appear have an evenly mixed overall online reputation, with the most common complaints citing poor quality, and that they do not work as well as advertised.

Also, the Yes! device’s return policy is confusing, as the customer service page claims there is a 60-day refund policy, while just below this area, it claims to be 30 days. The product’s return policy page also reflects 30 days. Because of this, you may want to contact the company directly at 877-206-6764 or [email protected] to verify prior to placing your order.

Yes finishing touch does shave your legs but it keeps it still a little hairy and you have to do more work by scrubbing your legs or arms with the little hair remover pads. It's way more work then just shaving your legs with a razor. I want my money back.

I was lucky and my order was canceled.

    • by Dennis,
    • Salt Lake City, UT,
    • Feb 20, 2015

I ordered a Yes! by Finishing Touch two weeks ago and it did not show up so I went to the website to track my order and it was out of stock. I asked them to cancel my order and refund the payment. Today I got a reply that they canceled my order and said they would not charge my card. So we will see in a few days when I check my card statement. If people would take the time and look you can see these things at the "As Seen on TV" section in a lot of stores. It looks so cheaply made so I will not be buying one.

    Don't waste your money

    • by Jacque,

I thought this might work like the NoNo laser hair remover, but it's an over priced electric razor that doesn't work very well. It does not remove all of the hair and less then 24 hours later stubble is back. I wasted $39.00 on this piece of crap. Warning do not waste your money!

Awful, nothing like it is portrayed.

    • by Shari,

Do not be fooled, it does not work any better than a razor. The light does nothing and you are left with stubble. Actually, a razor does a better job than this.

    Personally I love it.

    • by Michelle Martin,
    • Augusta, GA,
    • Feb 10, 2015

As a sufferer of PCOS I grow facial hair. I purchased this for 40 bucks (250 less than the NoNo). Although possibly not a permanent solution, I love the results I get. I use it twice daily and it leaves my skin smooth with no stubble. No razor cuts or burns. Wondering what people are doing wrong who are dissatisfied?

      Barb

Just because customers are dissatisfied does not mean they are doing anything "wrong". It is advertised as if it will lead to less hair growth, which it won't. Also, you're only using it on your face. If you want the smooth and great results they claim for other parts of the body, you won't find it with this product. It's a glorified razor with misleading advertising.

      Jen

Twice a day using a product that is supposed to REDUCE the amount you are meant to use it is pretty ridiculous. I don't think it is the other people doing anything wrong.

A lousy razor for one third of the cost of better products

    • by Susa May,

It is small compact razor with a light to show the hair is not cut. I think it's of poor quality. I have thin pale fuzz. I can only imagine what a woman with coarse dark hairs would think.

    • by S. Schroeder,

The YES! by Finishing Touch leaves stubbles so that when you try to remove them, it rips your skin. I have two terrible scabs under my chin. Shame on Fran Drescher!

    • by Joyce,

I ordered the Finishing Touch Yes on 1/2/15. No product by 1/22 and so I called customer service. Customer service said it was on back order until 2/11. There was no e-mail letting me know. She said she would send me an e-mail. Well, I'm still waiting for product and e-mail. Pony Express lives.

    Great Little Razor

    • by Anna,
    • Fl,
    • Jan 29, 2015

I don't understand the Bad reviews. The INSTRUCTIONS say to let it charge right out of the box BEFORE using. Used on my chin first and NO stubble. Smoother than any electric razor I have ever used. As for the Sens light technology...You have to use over time. No miracles on one try. Seems to be a little less hair after 4 weeks of continuous use. For the razor part; it's okay. As for the light technology - I'm still dubious, but will keep trying.

    Read before you buy.

    • by Stacy,
    • Dallas, Texas,
    • Jan 22, 2015

I would just like to state that you should always read about a product before you buy it, duh! It specifically states that this product is a razor. Yes it talks about a Sensa-light, but never says that it is a laser? I agree as a razor it does suck and I wouldn't recommend it to a friend to spend $40 on a razor.

    Don't buy it!

    • by Abby T.,
    • Florida,
    • Jan 22, 2015

We got 2, one for me and the other for my daughter. All it does is cut your hair to a stubble, then you have to use the pads it came with and you rub the stubble off. I used the pad and now I have a rash and chaffing. I'm upset, and going to return it it. Don't buy it! Fran Drescher you suck, I'll never trust you again.

    Not worth it

    • by Lindsay,
    • Jan 22, 2015

I nick myself with the shaver all the time deeply too. I will say this - it ONLY SHORTENS the hair but when you go to the stubble removing head, it does not work! If you are in a super big hurry or just don't feel like getting a leg wax or shaving, this device is good, but like I said, only trims to a stubble!

    • by DEBBIE,

My husband bought me a Yes for Christmas. Tried it and wouldn't even remove the hair, so my husband changed the heads and then motor would not work. Tried to email them, got no reply. Got no phone number, stuck with mine. I have contacted Better Business Bureau and made a complaint, they should be sued...

This is a waste of company and completely sucks. It's a bloody shaver or razor, whichever you want to call it and has nothing to do with any rays. It's totally deceiving and I'm definitely NOT satisfied. Run as fast as you can and don't waste your money!

The name leads you to think the hair is removed by light and not a razor. FALSE! It is only a razor and not a good one at that. Extremely upset due to the fact I used it on my face. I have never used a razor on my face! I should sue you.

    • by Lia,

I bought it and used it. It trims and shaves the hair but does a really crappy job, I had visible stable left. And I don't have wild body hair to begin with. I had to get back in the shower and shave my legs after using this device. Why did I pay $40? Taking this useless thing back! Don't waste your money and time.
