About ZytekXL

ZytekXL is a medical strength male augmentation supplement that promises to represent a breakthrough for enhancing male vitality, vigor, and virility by boosting testosterone levels.

Specifically, the website claims this natural, premium formula contains powerful sexual enhancers and aphrodisiacs that can help middle-aged men improve their libido and sex drive, allow them to achieve on-command harder and bigger erections, and restore their youthful sexual power, performance, and pleasure.

In fact, the manufacturer even claims that ZytekXL can help combat erectile dysfunction and optimize reproductive health. And all of this without chemicals, fillers, binders, or side effects.

Is this the case? Even if ZytekXL is a major sponsor of the #49 Chevy Silverado - NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, does this mean you should invest in a bottle? Here, we’ll discuss everything we learned so you can answer key questions like these.

Let’s quickly cover a few basics to ensure everyone’s on the same page.

How Does ZytekXL Work?

Running the length of the interior of the penis are two large chambers consisting of a spongy material, called the corpora cavernosa. When appropriately signaled by the brain, these chambers fill with blood and cause the penis to grow in length and girth; commonly referred to as an erection.

Despite this simplistic explanation, the reality is that achieving an erection involves a complex cascade of events relating to the brain (and accompanying mental state, emotions, etc.), the release of hormones, proper circulation throughout the body, and so forth.

As mentioned on the ZytekXL website, one of these hormones is testosterone, which is very important in the process of adolescent boys developing typically ‘manly’ traits like a deep voice, increased muscle size and strength, the growth of body hair, as well as penis and testes size.

The problem is that testosterone levels start decreasing once men reach middle age, leading to problems like less robust, more flaccid erections (or difficulty achieving one at all), decreased passion and sex drive, fatigue, and even depression.

Given these details, ZytekXL’s ingredients promise to work on several fronts to improve testosterone levels and blood flow to the penis. But is there clinical evidence that they might accomplish this?

What Ingredients Does ZytekXL Contain?

There wasn’t a supplements facts label shown on the ZytekXL website at the time of our research. We were told it contains the following ingredients (although no dosages were listed):

  • L-arginine
  • Muira Puama Extract
  • Eurycoma Extract
  • Saw Palmetto Berry
  • Tribulus

According to the Natural Medicine Database, Examine.com, and WebMD’s summary of the available clinical evidence for these ingredients, l-arginine is an amino acid often found in red meat, poultry, fish, and dairy products that’s converted by the body into nitric oxide (NO). In turn, NO can help widen blood vessels and improve circulation.

When taking 5g per day (related specifically to ZytekXL's claims), there is evidence that l-arginine can improve sexual function in men with erectile dysfunction. Unless accompanied by Pycnogenol, however, these authoritative sites report lower doses might not be effective.

Examine.com lists three studies indicating that eurycoma (often referred to as longjack) may help increase testosterone levels, but that “there is no evidence in otherwise healthy and unanxious men.” The NMD and WebMD rate the overall evidence to support any benefits as “insufficient.”

This same reported level of evidence seems to hold true for saw palmetto and tribulus.

Will ZytekXL’s Ingredients Cause Any Side Effects?

The sources cited above indicated that side effects associated with these ingredients are fairly uncommon, and mild when they do occur. These include digestive upset (e.g. nausea, bloating, diarrhea, etc.), although WebMD indicates that in some instances (no specifics provided), l-arginine may lead to “allergies, airway inflammation, worsening of asthma, and low blood pressure.”

Speaking of which, l-arginine is also indicated to moderately interact with high blood pressure medications, Viagra, and nitrates.

These sites reported that not enough is known about muira puama to fully grasp potential side effects or possible drug interactions.

As noted on the supplement’s website, ZytekXL’s manufacturer recommends consulting with a physician before beginning any “diet, exercise program, or taking any diet pill to avoid any health issues.”

How Much Does ZytekXL Cost?

The only way to purchase ZytekXL is through the company’s 14-day trial, where you’ll pay $3.86 S&H to receive a full 30-day supply.

After the initial 14 days have passed, you’ll be charged the full price of $89.99 and enrolled in an autoship program. This means you’ll continue receiving a fresh bottle of ZytekXL once per month and charged $89.99 each time until you call customer support to cancel.

Note: These important details weren’t listed anywhere on ZytekXL’s website, other than in the Terms and Conditions.

Speaking of which, the only information listed in the Terms regarding the company’s refund policy was: “Customer agrees to try the product and evaluate its performance before requesting a refund or cancellation.”

For some clarification, we contacted customer support at (855) 631-7191 and learned that outside of the trial’s 14 days, no refunds are granted under any circumstances.

How does this price compare with competing products?

ZytekXL vs. Other Testosterone Supplements

Even if this is your first investigation into a testosterone boosting supplement, you likely recognize that there are perhaps thousands of competing products. If not, you can quickly get a handle on the situation by typing the phrase into Google and seeing all the different options for yourself.

You’ll also notice that, while many contain some of the same core ingredients found in ZytekXL, such as l-arginine, saw palmetto, and tribulus, prices can vary from under $20 to well over $100 for a single bottle. Given these variances, as well as their similar claims, how can you choose the right option?

First, following the advice of organizations like the National Institutes of Health, “the US Preventive Services Task Force, the American Cancer Association, the American Heart Association, the American Diabetes Association, and the American Academy of Family Physicians,” it is HighYa’s understanding that supplements aren’t recommended for otherwise healthy people with no nutritional deficiencies.

As a result, if you’re experiencing less-than-stellar sex or concerned that your testosterone levels are too low, the first person you should speak with is your doctor. After the appropriate testing, they’ll be able to recommend options based on your specific diagnosis.

Outside of this key step, it's also important to point out that HighYa readers often complain that trial- and- autoship-only products are difficult to cancel, which is why we recommend closely scrutinizing products only sold through these methods.

Finally, using trusted third-party websites, what can you learn about the product and the manufacturer? Do they have a solid reputation, or do you find a common theme among complaints? Do customers talk about them in a positive or negative tone?

Let’s go ahead and bring all of this together to help you make a decision about ZytekXL.

What’s Our Bottom Line About ZytekXL?

At $90 per bottle, ZytekXL is on the upper end of the price spectrum, compared to the dozens of other testosterone supplements the HighYa team has reviewed over the years.

Furthermore, based on the decals displayed on the #49 Peak Nutritional Products Chevrolet, it appears PNP manufactures ZytekXL (as they likely do for many other supplements companies), although the website doesn’t provide any details about who’s actually behind the formulation itself.

In either case, we’re not provided any dosage details for ZytekXL’s ingredients. And when trying to discern whether or not a supplement is “effective,” the level of each ingredient is fully half the equation (along with clinical support).

Finally, to reiterate, HighYa readers tend to discuss the same common complaints and provide similar relatively low ratings for dietary supplements sold only through free trials and autoship programs.

Taken together, we’re all about helping you achieve the most value for your money. And from this perspective, we’d strongly recommend speaking with your doctor before placing an order for ZytekXL—or for any other testosterone supplement, for that matter. Even the supplement’s manufacturer recommends doing the same.
