About 10 Minute Trainer Workout
If you’re looking to get in the best shape of your life, the 10 Minute Instant Trainer Workout from Tony Horton, creator of P90X3, claims to be a complete system that can get you into shape “from head to toe.” In fact, the 10 Minute Trainer claims to be a “serious, fat-torching workout” that can help you lose up to 10 pounds in 10 days.
But is 10 Minute Trainer really all it’s cracked up to be? Let’s exercise the facts and see what we find out.
Details About the 10 Minute Instant Trainer Workout
The 10 Minute Trainer claims to be an amazing new workout from Tony Horton that uses a technique called Super Stacking, which basically just involves exercising your legs, arms, core, shoulders, and cardiovascular system in just one 10-minute routine. More specifically, the program is claimed to work your upper and lower abs, obliques, and core from “all possible angles” at the same time. In fact, the 10 Minute Trainer Workout website claims that a recent study shows one 10 Minute Trainer workout can burn as many calories as a 30-minute run.
With this in mind, the program includes 6 workouts: Total Body, Cardio, Lower, Abs, Yoga Flex, and Tony’s On-the-Go Workout. In addition, your order will also include a workout calendar, Rapid Results guidebook, 10-Minute Recipe Guide, pro-grade resistance bands, power cardio belt, and 2-Day Jump Start Plan.

What Do Other Consumers Have to Say About Tony Horton’s 10 Minute Trainer Workout?
The 10 Minute Trainer Workout was created by Tony Horton, who also created P90X3, and is produced by Beachbody, LLC based out of Santa Monica, CA. The company holds an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau, despite having more than 120 closed complaints over the past three years, most of which appear to reference billing issues.
Regarding the 10 Minute Trainer Workout specifically, online customer reviews appear to be mostly positive, although some of the most common complaints we encountered during our research cited high price for what you get, long advertisements throughout all five videos, and difficulty keeping up with the pace (we’ll explore this more in the following section).
What’s the Bottom Line About the 10 Minute Trainer Workout?
So, should you spend nearly $100 of your hard-earned money on Tony Horton’s 10 Minute Trainer Workout? Maybe, if you keep the following in mind:
First, as we found during our 10-week Focus T25 Challenge, the 10 Minute Trainer Workout will likely be too easy for someone who is already in very good shape, and too difficult for someone who is overweight and/or who doesn’t exercise regularly. However, if you’re in “average” shape and don’t have any back or joint problems, it’s likely that you’ll achieve the best results. Despite this, more than one customer has complained that it’s still quite hard on your body.
Second, similar to Focus T25, we learned that the 10 Minute Trainer program actually involves more than 10 minutes per day, as it’s recommended that you complete at least 2-3 workouts daily in order to attain “advanced” results. In addition, you’ll need to stick to a strict 1,200-calorie per day diet in order to lose weight. Even when completing three workouts per day and watching what they ate, we read several customer reviews claiming that the 10 Minute Trainer program is still more appropriate for strength and conditioning than it is for weight loss.
Next, we experienced numerous customers complaining that the exercises are completed quickly and without any kind of warning. In other words, you’ll need to watch each workout several times in order to memorize where the transitions occur and to keep up with the videos.
Finally, despite how the 10 Minute Workout website makes it appear, you’re paying $100 for what amounts to one DVD consisting of five exercises, a resistance band, and a resistance belt. On top of this, you’ll need to complete the workouts near a doorway with hinges in order to use belt. As a result, the number one complaint we experienced cited high price/low-value level.
Bottom line: If you’re in moderate shape without back or joint problems, and are focused more on strength and conditioning than weight loss, you might benefit from Tony Horton’s 10 Minute Trainer Workout. Even then, you might not feel like you’re getting a very much for your hard-earned money.
