About Alurent

Developed by a team of biochemists to deliver instant results by visibly lifting, plumping, and firming skin, Alurent is an age-defying system that’s claimed to quickly and effectively reduce the appearance of facial lines and wrinkles. And as a natural alternative to cosmetic surgery, Alurent is claimed to provide spa quality results at home.

In order to accomplish this, Alurent is claimed to be comprised of 2 primary products:

  • Instant Erasure Serum – Claimed to be clinically proven to lift and tighten sagging skin, while smoothing creases and wrinkles.
  • Rejuvenate Cream – A “super potent” moisturizer formulated with marine peptides, collagen, and antioxidants intended to reverse the effects of sun damage, and to tone, tighten, and hydrate skin.

According to the Alurent website, their anti-aging products a formulated without sulfates or synthetic fragrances, and are claimed to contain natural ingredients that are vegan-friendly.

In order to begin using the Alurent system, the company claims you should apply a small amount to the areas you’re looking to treat, and then massage it into your skin. Afterward, the manufacturer claims you’ll feel Alurent working within minutes.

You probably feel a lot younger than your age, and you want to know if Alurent’s anti-aging system can help bring this into balance. But before you hand over your hard-earned money, consider the following:

What Ingredients Does Alurent Contain? Are They Clinically Proven to Work?

Unfortunately, other than claiming to contain marine peptides, collagen, and antioxidants, the Alurent website doesn’t provide any information about the ingredients their anti-aging system contains.

As we’ve mentioned in many of our anti-aging product reviews, peptides are simply “naturally occurring biological molecules,” And marine peptides are simply molecules derived from marine animals. As you can see though, this doesn’t tell us anything about the specific peptides contained in Alurent, or how they can provide you with any anti-aging benefits.

On the other hand, collagen is a family of proteins that support cells and bodily tissue, and among other things, are responsible for firm, youthful-looking skin. But although collagen injections have been used for many years within the cosmetic surgery industry, because it is such a large molecule, “it does not penetrate the skin but stays idly on top of it, only to be washed off during your next shower. Traditional collagen creams are not entirely useless because collagen can hold moisture and makes a decent moisturizer. But do not expect these creams to strengthen your skin.”

Finally, antioxidants are key to supporting your immune system and preventing damage from free radicals, and are often obtained from the foods we eat. However, topical application of antioxidants (usually through aloe in anti-aging products) does not necessarily translate into the same benefits as internal administration.

It’s All About Moisture

Taken together, based on what little information we have to go on, it would appear that Alurent might make an effective moisturizer, but beyond this, its true anti-aging benefits may be limited.

Are Bloggers Alurent’s Only Customers?

Outside of reviews posted by bloggers who received free Alurent products in exchange for reviews (some of whom also earn a commission from each sale they refer), there weren’t any online customer reviews for the anti-aging system at the time of our research.

However, we did learn that Alurent Products, Inc. is based out of El Dorado Hills, CA, and although the company claims to have been incorporated in 1978, they’re not listed with the Better Business Bureau. With this said, we did locate the company’s primary website, which appears to offer a variety of other skincare products.

Alurent Pricing & Refund Policy

If purchased through Alurent’s landing page, the anti-aging system is only available through a 14-day trial for $5.95. Then, after your trial has expired, you’ll be billed $39.99 for the full price of the product. On the other hand, Alurent’s main website sells the 2-part anti-aging system for $89.99, but without a free trial.

Along with your order, you will also receive the Revival Under Eye Serum to eliminate dark circles and puffiness, as well as the Refining Face Polish & Toner to exfoliate and revitalize dull skin.

Important note: Outside of Alurent’s 14-day trial, there isn’t a refund policy listed on their website. However, there is a section in the product’s FAQ page that indicates you’ll be enrolled in the company’s autoship program after your trial has expired, which means that you may continue receiving a fresh supply of Alurent on a regular basis, and your credit card will be charged accordingly each time. However, there isn’t any additional information provided.

In order to clarify both their refund policy and their autoship details, we attempted to contact Alurent’s customer service line at 866-963-9485 on several occasions. However, we only received a busy signal on each of our attempts, despite calling during their posted business hours.

Regardless, since free trials are generally guaranteed to charge you full price and autoship programs are often more about charging you as much as possible than about providing you with any kind of convenience, we recommend staying away from products sold through these methods.

Can Alurent Help You Look as Young as You Feel?

Chopping to the Point: Compared to many of the other anti-aging products sold only through free trials that we’ve reviewed here at HighYa, Alurent comes with a much lower price. However, just because it comes with a lower price doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s a good deal.

With this in mind, considering the lack of an ingredients list/product label, the lack of clinical evidence showing that Alurent’s ingredients can provide any anti-aging benefits (other than moisturization), and the inability to speak with someone in customer service, we might recommend speaking with your dermatologist about additional methods of reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Fraud, do not purchase from this company!

This is the worst service on the face of the earth, and I have been taken advantage off. I had to return all the products on 12/02/2016 (on the day I received it), and have not yet been reimbursed by the company.

Stay away from these people! I am out $169.74, and no one is helping me from this company to get my money back (they have the product and the money). Again, it is fraud.

FYI, I am handicapped with Multiple Sclerosis, and they are not helping me at all. I consider them thieves.

Dear Fraudulent Company, I want my $169.74 back! You are thieves, or the associates that work for you are. I am tempted to place an ad in the papers about the treatment I received from your company.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend
