About BB Brush
Claiming to be a revolutionary spinning beauty brush, the BB Brush is a product that claims to be able to exfoliate and detoxify the skin. The “As Seen On TV” brush claims to be able to provide younger looking skin by lifting and polishing away dead skin to reveal the new, smooth skin underneath.
The brush itself makes use of 12,000 all-natural Tampico fibers, and the manufacturer claims this is one of the secrets of the brushes exfoliating powers. The brush head spins at 82 rotations per minute, which provides the intensity to lift dead skin cells and leave your looking healthier than ever.
It isn’t all for simple exfoliation, though, according to the manufacturer. The BB Brush features multiple different interchangeable heads that serve a few different specific functions. These brushes include the following:
- Main Exfoliating Brush: This is the primary brush head that comes with the BB Brush. The Tampico fibers built in are meant to help lift skin and improve circulation in the body, according to the manufacturer.
- Pore Cleansing Facial Brush: This brush head is meant to remove makeup and clean pores in the face, allowing for healthier, smoother skin.
- Pedi Disk: The Pedi brush head is meant to help remove calluses on the feet and elsewhere on the body. The manufacturer claims it can leave callused feet looking smooth and silky.
- Wave Massager: Finally, we have the Wave Massager brush head. Billed as a “bonus” head for the brush, the website claims that the massager can reduce stress and relax your muscles.
If you’re like many women all over the world, dealing with lumpy, dry or rough skin is just a fact of life. If the BB Brush was truly an effective means for keeping skin looking fresh and radiant, we think that the company behind it would have a massive hit on their hands. So, is the exfoliating brush the game changer it appears to be on paper?
Or is it simply more hype than substance, stringing you along by the dream of an exfoliating product that doesn’t require any messy scrubs or lotions.
We’ll answer this in a moment, but first things first: Who makes the thing?
Who Makes The BB Brush?
All we’re told on the product's website is that it is made by “Lily & Rose”. Now, we might simply be out of the loop, but we’ve never heard of this brand, and subsequent searches online didn’t turn up any brand presence for a Lily & Rose beauty product line anywhere that we were able to find.
How The BB Brush Works
Based on the videos and imagery on the main product website, it looks as though using the BB Brush is as simple is gently running the brush along the problem areas on your body, allowing the Tampico bristles to remove dead skin cells and give your skin a fresh coat of “paint”. The device is powered by 3 AA batteries, but we aren’t told whether the device comes with some or not.
Operation using the other 3 brush heads looks very similar, and changing between the various heads seems as simple as snapping a new one on.
All of these functions sound great and all, but is exfoliating really a healthy practice? What are the benefits for your skin? Let’s find out next.
Exfoliating: Is It Beneficial?
If there was ever a buzzword in the skin beauty industry, it’d be “exfoliate”. Put simply, exfoliation is the process of removing the top layer of dead skin to make room for new, smoother skin and also to detoxify the skin as a whole.
According to HowStuffWorks, exfoliating can improve the effectiveness of your daily skincare regimen, allowing products to be absorbed into the skin more easily. It also serves to rejuvenate and protect the skin, clearing out your pores and preventing the buildup of blackheads and other skin conditions.
Even using a facial brush like the BB Brush once a day can be tremendously beneficial, as long as it is used properly. The core idea is that exfoliating speeds up the process of rejuvenating and replacing dead and dulling skin cells, which occurs naturally over time.
Adopting this daily rhythm can truly help ensure that your skin remains radiant and glowing, but the amount of time required to see a real difference can vary wildly from person to person, depending on a variety of factors.
Finally, it does look like exfoliating with a brush can increase circulation to the skin, as the manufacturer of the BB Brush suggests. This helps to detoxify your skin, clearing out waste and keeping it healthy and youthful-looking in the process.
BB Brush Pricing & Return Policy
The exfoliator is currently only sold directly through the manufacturer, either by phone or by visiting the main website and placing an order using the online portal. The product is listed as being $29.99, plus a $9.99 shipping & handling charge. In addition, it looks like there’s an optional “Double Offer” to get a second BB Brush for a separate $9.99 fee.
Regardless of whether or not you accept the double offer promotion, you’ll also be subjected to a $1 “Web Service Fee” for the transaction if you place it online.
If you’re trying to place an order outside the continental United States, you’ll also have an additional $5.99 shipping surcharge tacked onto your order.
So, this means that at a bare minimum, for a single BB Brush, you’re looking at $40.99 when all's said and done. If you opt for the double offer, your grand total will be $50.99. According to the shipping policy listed on the website, all orders are shipped out within 30 days of the purchase via FEDEX Smart Post.
As for the return policy, you have a full 60-day money back guarantee which covers everything except for the shipping & handling and web service fees. In order to return a product to the manufacturer, you’ll need to contact customer service at 844-649-5106.
Additionally, the company asks that you include your complete name, address, daytime telephone number and email address inside the return package when returning your item.
The Bottom Line: Is The BB Brush The Real Deal?
Although in many ways, the brush seems like a very straightforward beauty product, we have a few concerns that are worth noting.
There are a number of different products that claim to have similar benefits and functions to the BB Brush, some of them more expensive and a few less.
According to WebMD, exfoliating brushes like the BB Brush can indeed help with keeping skin looking fresh and radiant, and can also help remove dirt and makeup better than by attempting to remove these substances by hand.
That being said, it looks like not all brushes are made equally. The exfoliating brush appears as though it can provide ample power to truly clean the top layer of the skin, but without knowing the battery size, and without testing the product ourselves, we can’t say for sure.
Your best bet here it to do some research on a few different exfoliating brushes before making a purchase, in order to decide which one is best for you.
If you’d rather not go on a long hunt for the perfect product, and you’d like to try the BB Brush out, we’d recommend keeping the 60-day return policy in mind going into the purchase.
Of course, you’ll have to be alright with losing a few dollars to the non refundable shipping costs, so don’t forget about that.
Bringing everything together, we don’t see how the BB Brush’s features wouldn’t potentially provide the benefits stated by the manufacturer, as long as it has enough power to consistently and effectively scrub the top layer of skin on our bodies.
WIthout testing it ourselves, we don’t know for sure, but based on the medical evidence we found during our research, it would appear that if you’re looking for a brush to help you exfoliate your skin, this brush fits the bill.

I ordered the BB Brushes way back in August. Here it is November 11th, and I still have nothing! Where is my order?
They need to please send it ASAP, or I demand a refund, or I will report them as a scam!
Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Here it is September 3rd, 2017, and I still have received nothing.

Still haven't got it
I ordered it on August 3rd, 2017 and here it is September 6th, 2017 and no sign of it as yet. On September 1st, 2017 I called and they said they are waiting on a back order. Good grief, how long does that take? The reason I give one star is because it's taking way too long to get it and the reason for not recommending is because I don't want anyone to have to wait so long.
