About Beverly Hills MD Dark Circle Corrector

If our eyes are the window to our soul, is yours clouded by dark circles, wrinkles, puffiness, and more? If so, is there anything you can do?

According to Beverly Hills MD, their Dark Circle Corrector is a lightweight cream formulated with LipoLight®, which scatters light reflected off your skin to “eliminate microscopic shadows.” In other words, it’ll help reduce the appearance of under eye dark circles, while diminishing the appearance of shadows on your skin.

On top of this, Dark Circle Corrector’s seven other key ingredients will help correct puffiness and wrinkles around your eyes, hydrate and smooth skin, and “take years off your appearance.” And your results will only become more pronounced with continued use!

Beverly Hills MD Dark Circle Corrector is suitable for all skin types and ages, whether you’re a woman or a man. All you have to do is apply the product up to two times daily and you’ll start experiencing “rapid results.”

It seems like every day a new anti-aging product appears on the market; one that claims to be different than the thousands of others, and that’s totally worth the ultra-high price. But how well does Dark Spot Corrector fare up against scrutiny? Will the price you pay provide a solid value?

That’s exactly what we’ll learn here. So to begin, we’ll look at the product’s ingredients.

How “Sophisticated” Are Dark Circle Corrector’s Ingredients?

First, let’s discuss Dark Spot Corrector’s seven “main” proprietary ingredients:

  • LipoLight® OAP/PVA – Each LipoLight particle is 5 microns in size, making it invisible to the naked eye. Once light hits each particle, it’s diffused (we’ll talk more about this in a moment), which can “dramatically reduce the appearance of skin imperfections.”

  • Haloxyl – An eye-specific peptide-based ingredient that’s claimed to fight “against the accumulation of blood degradation” underneath the eyes and lighten dark circles.

  • Chronoline – A biomimetic lipopeptide consisting of glycerin, water, dextran, and caprooyl-tetrapeptide-3 that’s claimed to increase collagen production, reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and smooth and firm skin.

  • Hyalusphere – Hyaluronic acid that’s been encapsulated using proprietary technology to “fill wrinkles from the inside.”

  • SYN-AKE – Often compared to a topical form of Botox, SYN-AKE is a proprietary peptide that “reduc[es] muscle cell contraction [and] smooth[es] mimic wrinkles in a short period.”

  • BeautifEYE – Another Sederma ingredient that’s claimed to provide “a lifting action on the sagging upper eyelid.” In addition, it’s also claimed to reduce the appearance of crow’s feet, fade dark circles, and reduce puffiness.

  • RejuvenOX – According to the company, this ingredient “is a non-hazardous, colorless and odorless material with a high capacity to transport gases and increase moisture levels in skin, promoting skin respiration and hydration, and the reduction of fine lines and wrinkles.”

  • Silk Tree Extract – An extract derived from the Albizia julibrissin tree that’s often claimed to reduced glycation, helping skin to remain firm, supple, and wrinkle-free.

Here’s the thing: Although all of these benefits sound fantastic, none of these companies provide any clinical evidence (third-party or otherwise) showing that their ingredients will work as advertised. In other words, you’ll just have to take their word for it.

Sure, standalone ingredients like hyaluronic acid have been shown to be effective for filling wrinkles and reducing the signs of aging, but only when injected (versus applied topically, as with Dark Spot Corrector). What’s more, even if all of these ingredients work exactly as advertised, we’re not told how much of each the product contains, or whether or not it’s enough to be effective.

Considering all of this, Dark Circle Corrector’s biggest marketing angle might be the “light-reflecting technology” provided by LipoLight, so let’s take a more in-depth look at how it works.

The Science Behind Light-Reflecting Skincare Products

Imagine that you’re standing in front of a large, perfectly clean mirror. Because the mirror’s surface is smooth, it reflects light (almost) perfectly toward your eyes, resulting in a reflection that’s clear and closely resembles your actual appearance.

Now, imagine that this same mirror is broken into a million different pieces. All of these individual pieces will still reflect light, but instead of one cohesive image, the light will be sent in all different directions (a process known as refraction). As a result, the image will no longer be clear to you.

In a nutshell, this is basically how light-reflecting makeup works. Instead of allowing light to bounce off your skin naturally, it refracts this light and provides a mild “camouflaging” effect for especially shadowy areas, such as fine lines and wrinkles, dark under eye circle, and more. They’re still there; they’re just no longer as visible to others because light isn’t reflected directly into their eyes.

The reality is that light-reflecting foundation, makeup, and skincare creams are nothing new. In fact, if you try entering the phrase into your favorite search engine, you’ll literally come up with hundreds of results. In fact, you’ll almost certainly be able to find a couple options at local retailers or specialty beauty stores.

Compared to these other options, how much does Beverly Hills MD’s Dark Circle Corrector cost?

How Much Will You Pay For Dark Circle Corrector?

Dark Circle Corrector is priced as follows:

  • 1 Bottle: $99
  • 2 Bottles: $178
  • 3 Bottles: $252

Like all Beverly Hills MD products, Dark Circle Corrector comes with a 60-day money back guarantee, less S&H charges. In order to request one, you’ll need to call customer service at 877-828-5528.

Speaking of which, what do we know about this company?

Beverly Hills MD’s Customer Reputation

Here at HighYa, we’ve reviewed most of Beverly Hills MD’s products, including popular options like Dark Spot Corrector, Lift + Firm Sculpting Cream, Crepe Correcting Body Complex, and more.

And overall, it appears these products come with mostly positive customer feedback. In fact, they have an average rating of 4 stars, with common compliments citing ease of use, worthwhile results, and pleasant consistency/aroma.

As a company, Beverly Hills MD had an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau, with just 2 closed complaints (as of 12/28/15). Unfortunately, no complaint details were available at the time of our research.

Alright, so Beverly Hills MD (both their products and the company) seems to have a solid online customer reputation. But does this necessarily mean you should buy Dark Circle Corrector? Let’s bring it home.

Is Dark Circle Corrector the Right Answer for You?

Alright, let’s quickly summarize what we’ve learned in this review.

Other than moisturization, it doesn’t appear that any of Dark Circle Corrector’s ingredients will provide you with any long-term benefits. Yes, LipoLight can help reduce the appearance of wrinkles and dark areas, and the SYN-AKE peptide might provide a lifting and tightening effect, but these are only temporary.

What’s more, light-reflecting makeup is extraordinarily popular, so you might be able to purchase foundation that accomplishes much of the same thing, but at a much lower cost than Dark Circle Corrector. Type the phrase “SYN-AKE” into your favorite search engine, and you’ll also find hundreds of other products containing the same ingredient; again, priced much lower.

Ultimately, this means that you’ll be paying upwards of $100 for a largely unproven blend of proprietary ingredients, which ultimately might not provide the results you’re after. And you might be able to accomplish many of the same benefits with less expensive products that use many of the same proprietary ingredients.

The good news is that Beverly Hills MD seems to be a legitimate company with a solid customer reputation, and who seems to stand behind their products with a 60-day refund policy. Ultimately, this means you might only be out a few dollars in S&H for giving it a try.

I've gone through 2 bottles and it has done little if anything for my face. Their website shows only reviews that have been rated 3, 4 or 5. Skeptical.

This product does not work and is a total waste of money. It did NOTHING for my under eye circles. And when I went to get my money back, according to their guarantee, they wouldn't honor it. Disputing with my credit card company now.

I took their survey, but when I tried to click on "1 out of 5" (because was having shipping problems so hadn't received it), it wouldn't accept my click. seemed to only allow higher numbers for review. I emailed them repeatedly because I was having trouble with my brother shipping it to me in China, so I asked them if they could mail it to me directly. But NO RESPONSE. So, I'm wary that a money back guarantee would also be honored -- they seem ALL about hype and not about substance.

I am a doctor and if it's useful I could recommend it to my patients. But if they're all fluff and marketing then I'll pass.

I've only been using it myself for 2 weeks and haven't yet noticed a difference, but I'll use up what I bought already then decide. I would appreciate a systematic OUTSIDE review agency's opinion of many people, rather than random testimonials.

The product did not work for me. My initial request for a refund was met with, "you haven't tried it long enough," so I gave it a few more weeks, still within my eight weeks. When I called the second time, I was given a return acceptance.

    Showing progress

I’m noticing a difference. Hoping it continues to keep getting better.

I’ve always had dark circles and my skin is fair and transparent. I have never found a concealer that didn’t crease, and I reconciled that it’s just who I am.

However, they seem to be much better than normal, and I notice the shadows are reflected away, especially as I turn my head upward.

It’s definitely improving, and I hope that once the stress of working retail during the Christmas season slows down, I will continue to notice more results. I’ve been exhausted.

I’m sixty years old and been in the beauty business for almost 20 years. I worked for Clarins for several years. I must say I don’t look my age; blessed by good genes and have taken good care of my skin. However, my body was really starting to get crepey.

The “supplements” have made an unbelievable difference. I am on my third bottle and recently ordered 3 more! Amazing. My upper arms at my armpits look so much younger; I’ll be back to wearing sleeveless tops again. Thank you!

I look forward to the same amazing results with my dark circles!

I've been using the Dark Circle Corrector since 11/19. I think there's an improvement, but it's not great. The skin under my eyes is still dark. I'm hoping it improves. I like the way it feels when I apply it. I'm giving some to my daughter to try.

    Quite pleased.

I was surprised to see the difference in the dark circles under my eyes. With consistent usage, the difference has been easily apparent. Now, if they have something to cure the bags that seem to have found a home under my eyes, I would be one happy 80-year-old!

    Remarkable

    This product really works!

I had under eye puffiness, dark circle areas, and a 20-year old bruise mark. These have all almost gone away, or are extremely minimized. I have only used the product twice a day for about a month. Every single day that I wake up, I am amazed at what I am seeing in the mirror.

My family and friends have noticed the difference. They tell me I look younger, don't look tired, or have a much perkier eye expression.

I am totally satisfied. Thanks, Dr. Layke.

    Hereditary dark circles

I have hereditary dark circles that I inherited from my beautiful Mom. If I miss one minute of sleep or have the slightest sniffle, it shows up immediately on my under eye circles. I have tried every dark circle product out there, and they either don't work or if they do work, they irritated my skin or eyes. So I almost didn't try BHMD's Dark Circle Corrector. I am so glad that I did try it. It works without irritating my eyes or skin. It has a nice texture, not too greasy or thick and I my eyes are looking great!

    It helps

I am fair skinned and have very dark circles under my eyes. I use the Dark Circle Corrector twice a day. Before using this product, I’d use multiple concealers and still have dark circles. I still need multiple concealers, but now the darkness is covered, so I think it has helped.
