BiogenXT is a male enhancement supplement that claims to provide a host of various benefits relating to sexual function.
In particular, the product promises bigger, longer-lasting erections, a surge in energy and sex drive, and increased sexual confidence to boot. Just how does it claim to achieve these results? The minds behind the supplement say that it provides an increase in “free” testosterone and nitric oxide production to the penis, claiming to be the only product that does both.
What’s interesting here is that we’ve actually reported on products that make these very same claims, on websites that look almost identical to BiogenXT’s. One such product, Clemix, makes all of the same claims made by BiogenXT, and in fact, the only difference between the two products’ websites seems to be the name used in the sales copy. The two even share the exact same ingredients.
What does this mean for you? On its own, nothing necessarily, but we think it’s still important to point out, because it might potentially hurt the company’s credibility to be sharing the exact same website as a competitor. Here at HighYa, we’ve seen this type of practice before, particularly with the anti-aging industry.
In the next section, we’ll be taking a closer look at the claims made by the makers of BiogenXT, stacking it up to known medical science to see just how effective you can truly expect this product to be.
A Scientific Look At Male Enhancement
Sexual health is a complex and personal topic, and for many men, it can be a very sensitive one. Relating to penis size specifically, some would argue that having a larger penis is an almost universal desire amongst men.
In an article on WebMD, Michael O'Leary, MD, professor of urologic surgery at Harvard Medical School and a urologist at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston had this to say: "I think there isn't a guy in the world who hasn't wished his penis were an inch or two longer."
Because of this, it’s all the more important to understand just what exactly is possible with penis enlargement, and what is merely false hope distilled through overconfident marketing materials. The question you probably have floating around in your head right now is a simple one; can the penis truly be enlarged in some way? The answer, as it turns out, is not so simple.
The Mayo Clinic illustrates that while it is in fact possible to increase your overall penis size in some ways, it has never been proven clinically that a supplement like BiogenXT can actually achieve this feat. Instead, the article states, the truly effective methods of enlargement are also the costliest and most dangerous.
Surgical procedures and lengthening operations come with a whole host of issues, and are quite controversial in general. Other options exist, such as stretching the penis or using vacuum pumps to increase its size, but these are equally unproven and also come with their own set of potential side effects.
What about the claims about increased staying power, improved energy, intensified orgasms, and so forth? Simply put, we weren't able to find a single source that could support the notion that a supplement could produce more intense orgasms, or the notion that one could dull the penis to allow for more staying power.
Obviously, given the right ingredients (read: a stimulant), the product could potentially provide increased energy to those who take it. Of course, there are already a large variety of standalone supplements that are designed purely for this purpose.
Where does this leave us? While we can’t make a categorical statement on the effectiveness (or lack thereof) of male enhancement supplements like BiogenXT, what we can do is break down the product's formula in order to cross reference the ingredients used to the established science on their effects. In the next section, we’ll do just that.
What Ingredients Are Used In BiogenXT’s Formula?
The makers of BiogenXT claim that the product utilizes a blend of clinical strength ingredients in its formula, stating that they’re the key to the product’s effectiveness. The formula includes the following substances: Boron, Saw Palmetto Extract, Orchic Substance, Horny Goat Weed Extract, Nettle Extract, Tongkat Ali Extract, and Bioperine.
If we take a look at these ingredients, breaking down the science behind each of them based off of information from authority websites like Examine.com and WebMD, we find that for the most part, none of the ingredients have reported sufficient clinical data to support any of the manufacturer’s claims.
Only Tongkat Ali was shown to be possibly beneficial, as it has shown to be both a prorectile agent in clinical studies, and well as being shown to be an aphrodisiac as well (meaning a substance that stimulates sexual desire).
Potential BiogenXT Side Effects
BiogenXT does not provide a nutritional label anywhere on the product’s website, so we were unable to determine how much of each ingredient listed above is being used in each dose. Knowing this, we won’t be able to say with confidence that you will or will not experience any negative side effects from taking the supplement on a short or long term basis.
Based on all of the ingredients above, however, you might potentially experience any of the following symptoms: dizziness, vomiting, dry mouth, thirst, nosebleed, headache, nausea, constipation, or diarrhea.
BiogenXT Pricing & Returns
BiogenXT is currently only available via the “free trial” offer on the product’s website. You’ll pay $5.99 upfront to cover shipping and handling for a month’s worth of the product, and from there, you’ll have 14 days to evaluate its effectiveness.
If you do nothing, at the end of this 14 day period you’ll be billed the full amount for the trial order, and placed into the company's autoship program, according to the terms laid out on the checkout page.
This means that you’ll be billed each month for the full product price, as well as sent a new supply for the month. We aren’t told on the terms page what this full amount is, and when we tried to reach out to inquire about this, the customer service line at 818-660-6285 seemed to not be in service.
This is alarming in its own right, but especially so if you consider that in order to cancel these fees, the company states that you’ll need to reach out to them via this phone number before your trial ends.
Based on our experience reporting on these sorts of programs in the past, as well as based on customer feedback on similar programs, we see this as a bit of a red flag, as it stands to reason that cancelling your membership might prove difficult if you are unable to get ahold of the company in the first place.
As for the return policy, the company states that you have 30 days to request a refund on any product. Again, though, they request that you reach out to the number above, so we’d advise taking this into consideration going into a potential purchase.
The Verdict: Does BiogenXT Live Up To The Hype?
Bringing everything that we’ve learned about BiogenXT into focus, we have a few different concerns about the product that are worth mentioning. Firstly, most of the ingredients used in the supplement have not been reported to be clinically proven at increasing the overall size of a penis, providing enhanced staying power, more intense orgasms, or an increase in sexual confidence, according to the authoritative sources listed in the above ingredients section.
Secondly, without even knowing the price you’ll have to pay once the trial period is up, and without being able to contact customer service directly, we don't feel confident that a purchase of BiogenXT will provide enough value to warrant the continued–and ultimately unknown–costs.
As an additional point of consideration, sources like WebMD state that no nutritional supplement has ever proven to be as effective for supporting strong erections as Viagra and Cialis, as well as other prescription-based erectile dysfunction products.
This seems to be supported by our own extensive coverage of these sorts of products here at HighYa over the years. We’ve covered dozens of various male enhancement products to date, and not one of them has ever been able to produce higher than an average 2 ½ star rating from our readers.
Obviously, BiogenXT is its own product, so we aren’t saying outright that it will follow this trend. We only present this information to give you a clearer overall picture of the situation.
If you’d still like to move forward with finding a solution for your sexual health, we’d honestly recommend visiting with a qualified health professional in order to discuss treatment options that might be a better fit for your budget and unique lifestyle over the long term.
